Homecoming from Hogwarts
Chapter 1219 Silly
"vampire?"
Flume, owner of Honeydukes Candy Store, misses Elune.
Elune looked very excited as she stood in front of the shelf and picked and chose, but even so, she still looked like a well-educated aristocrat, and had nothing in common with dangerous dark creatures like vampires.
"Is this a joke, Mr. Weasley?"
Froome curled his lips.
Ron groaned twice, but didn't argue.
Judging from her appearance, it is indeed hard to believe that this beautiful first-grader with a calm temperament and a bit of indifference and arrogance is a vampire.
"I want this, this, and this!"
Elune made her selection. She hooked her slender fingers, and each of the hot-selling products on the shelf floated up a little. These candies gathered together and floated in front of Elune, slowly rotating in the air.
“Can you eat these?”
Harry immediately realized the problem. He looked at Hermione, whose face was turning pale, and then looked at Elune suspiciously.
“I thought you could only.”
Harry closed his mouth quickly. Ron's joking didn't count. It was inappropriate to reveal Elune's true identity to Flume without permission. After all, she was Professor Braine's guest at Hogwarts.
"How much!"
How could Hermione not know that this vampire was not completely unable to enjoy human food? She was probably just deliberately causing trouble.
She didn't dare to act recklessly in front of Professor Brian, so she came to torment her!
Tolerate!
Hermione told herself fiercely in her heart.
Professor Brian believes that candid communication with intelligent magical creatures can push wizard civilization to new glory. For this goal, the vampire's little bad intentions are not worth mentioning. What's more, treating her well is treating the centaurs and house-elves who really need protection well!
"Oh, then there's no need to pay—"
Froome scratched a small pimple on his cheek, looking proud.
"Anyway, it's me, so consider it my treat. I hope you can come back to my candy store in the future."
said Froome, and then muttered,
"Ever since I went to the Ministry of Magic to testify, many people in the village have opinions about me."
"You deserve it—"
Ron said bluntly,
"We should take more, Hermione, and bring some to each member of the exchange group. The goblins also brought us gifts, so we should show our grace, right?"
"That's a good idea, Ron."
Harry nodded approvingly.
They got a lot of candy from Honeydukes and filled several large wooden boxes.
Although Harry and Ron both thought that Froome should be ripped off, Hermione was more charitable.
She still paid with the funds allocated by Professor Braine. This made the owner of Honeydukes Candy Store very relieved. He gave Hermione a discount and promised that he would give them the lowest discount when the three of them came to the store to buy things in the future.
This alleviated a lot of the resentment Harry and Ron had towards Flume.
But when they left, they encountered another problem.
As he was about to leave, Harry subconsciously headed for the cellar of Honeydukes Candy Store, which confused Frum.
"Why are you going back to my cellar?"
Flume even looked at Harry with a pitiful look.
Harry paused and immediately turned back to look at Ron and Hermione, who were also looking at him. The three of them were thinking of the same question.
It is true that they came to Hogsmeade secretly through the secret passage, but they cannot use the secret passage to return to Hogwarts under Flume's gaze, otherwise, the secret passage will be exposed under Flume's nose!
This secret passage is the most useful of all the secret passages. It would be a shame if Froome decided to seal it off after learning about it.
"Oh, I just forgot."
Harry pretended nothing had happened and walked towards the door.
"Good night, then--"
Ron also said with a calm expression, without leaving any flaws.
"how?"
The little vampire was completely fascinated by the delicious candy. While enjoying the pleasure of the sour popping candy bursting in her mouth, she squinted her wine-red eyes and asked,
“We’re not going back.”
"Oh, shut up, we have another way!" Hermione said in a low voice, glared at Elune with a threatening look, and then pulled Elune without saying a word, followed Harry and Ron, and walked out of Honeydukes Candy Store.
The autumn wind is bleak. In order to allow the trunk to survive the winter, the withered yellow and green leaves leave the branches without hesitation, fluttering in the cold air, and finally fall into the embrace of the earth.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione, who was controlling the candy box with her wand, said nothing. They walked towards the hill where a gloomy wooden house stood, braving the wind that made them shiver.
"You have a closer way back to school, right?"
The little vampire licked the corners of his mouth that were stained with icing sugar and followed them to unwrap a chocolate frog.
Harry and the other two said nothing and continued on their way with sullen faces.
It took them about two hours, and they finally returned to the Hogwarts campus before midnight. This was mainly because the secret passage in the Shrieking Shack was much narrower than the secret passage in the cellar of Honeydukes Candy Store, which greatly limited their speed of movement.
Moreover, they had to take turns dragging several candy boxes.
Compared to the three students who were covered in dust and bent over gasping for breath in front of the Whomping Willow, Elune was much more relaxed.
She breathed steadily, without breaking a sweat, and was busy eating her own candies along the way.
"What is——"
With a lollipop in her mouth, Elune admired the Whomping Willow's branches rustling in the air with great interest, and said incoherently,
"I thought you would find a faster way—"
Harry was so angry that his teeth were itching.
"There's no faster way, unless you can get us some broomsticks!"
"Broomstick?"
Elune was crunching the candy.
"I don't like such crude things, but you can use Apparation, right?"
The breathing sounds of Harry and the other two were suddenly cut off. The three of them straightened up and stared at Elune. Hermione asked hesitantly,
"You can Apparate. In Hogwarts, like a house-elf?"
"Oh, no--"
It seemed that because Harry and the other two had treated her to delicious candies, Elune's tone was no longer so proud. She turned her head and looked at the giant glowing in the dark night.
"The denial magic at this old school is so special that I can't Apparate here. But I can use Apparate to sneak you back to the cellar of that wonderful candy store."
I'm really stupid.
"Then why didn't you tell me earlier?"
Hermione asked angrily.
"Oh, I thought you had a more convenient way."
Elune said as a matter of course.
"Come on, Hermione—"
Harry shook his head, not having the energy to argue with the little vampire.
He opened his Invisibility Cloak and let Ron in, while the candy boxes and Hermione herself were protected by a Disillusionment Charm.
As for Elune.
Harry and the other two couldn't believe that a dark creature couldn't even hide itself.
"Hide yourself quickly--"
Hermione anxiously urged Elune, who was breathing fire from the mouth and nose because of eating a pepper urchin,
"If you are discovered by the professor on night watch, you will also be detained and put in solitary confinement!"
The little vampire ruffled her hair and expressed her disdain to Hermione with a cold and arrogant expression.
As they entered the castle, the warmth from a dozen bright torches on both sides of the entrance hall made Harry and the other two shiver a few times.
The empty first floor of the castle - the foyer, the auditorium, and the corridors on both sides were shrouded in the occasional "click" sound - the hurricane formed by the alternating cold and heat inside and outside the castle hit the wooden door of the basement.
"Filch must have been lazy--"
Ron, who was enduring the noise and running up the stairs in the hallway to the second floor, said unhappily,
"With such a loud noise, he should have rushed over to close the door, right?"
"I'd rather Filch and his Mrs Norris just goof off tonight -"
Harry said.
"Shut up, both of you!"
The disembodied Hermione scolded,
"If the night watch professor--"
boom!
The sudden explosion broke the silence of the night! (End of this chapter)
