Homecoming from Hogwarts

Chapter 1238 Past events pass through the years

Appearing behind Amosta and Dumbledore was a middle-aged wizard who looked less than forty years old but had an extraordinary demeanor.

He was dressed in a dark green robe with patterns woven with silver thread on the cuffs and two one-inch-wide gold silk ribbons on the edges of the lapel, which looked decent and luxurious.

The middle-aged wizard had a straight nose, deep eye sockets, thin lips, and an angular face that was handsome yet a little vicissitudes of life.

The only thing that wasn't beautiful was the cold light in his light green eyes which made him look somewhat sinister.

"Slytherin Professor."

Dumbledore repeated quietly.

His gaze followed the flow downwards, lingering for a few moments on an exquisite locket hanging on the wizard's chest, and finally, stopped at the resurrection stone ring on his right thumb.

"It's surprising, isn't it, Amosta--"

As if he was worried about disturbing the middle-aged wizard in front of him, Dumbledore spoke softly in a whispering tone.

"Talking about homework?"

Slytherin's face seemed to be frozen, unable to show much expression, but a hint of mockery could be seen in his light green eyes.

Amosta and Dumbledore tacitly walked a few steps to the side, leaning against the wall, making way for Slytherin's cold eyes, although they both knew that Salazar Slytherin could not see them.

The boy who faced the mighty power was sweating profusely, and his already pale face was even less bloody. It was obvious that he was extremely afraid of Slytherin!
"Do you have any other response, Miss Greengrass?"

Slytherin's eyes moved and he looked at the girl next to the boy. She was pretty, but a little sickly.

"We're talking about Gryffindor professors, Slytherin professors!"

Just a slight glance, and the psychological defense of this ancestor of the Greengrass family collapsed, and she told the truth in a crying voice.

"You seem to have more courage than Mr. Malfoy, Miss Greengrass -"

Slytherin moved the corners of his lips coldly, and upon hearing these words, the ancestor of the Malfoy family hung his head as if he had been sentenced to death, with a gloomy look on his face.

"Tell me, what were you discussing about Godric?"

"Yes"

Greengrass's thin shoulders trembled as he stared at the pointed toes of his black leather shoes with several hollows on his ankles.

She knew that what she said might anger the great Slytherin professor, but she didn't dare to lie.

"It was Professor Gryffindor who brought back two more boys last Friday and stuffed them into his own school. He saved them from the Church. We heard that none of the two boys' ancestors could use magic."

Greengrass's eyelashes trembled slightly. She secretly glanced at Professor Slytherin's expression. Seeing that his handsome face did not further lose control, she breathed a sigh of relief and spoke with more confidence.
"Malfoy and I both believe that Professor Gryffindor is letting himself down. If he continues like this, sooner or later Hogwarts will be filled with stinking magic thieves!"

Greengrass said indignantly.

"I invented a new word, Professor Slytherin--"

The ancestor of the Malfoy family saw that the coldness in Professor Slytherin's eyes was beginning to melt away, and he looked at Professor Slytherin expectantly, with the intention of seeking credit.

"I call these magic-stealing thieves Mudbloods!"

Ugh.
A soft sigh came from Dumbledore, and he shook his head meaninglessly.

I wonder if Lucius would feel proud knowing this history.

Amosta glanced at the boy with shrewd gray eyes, thinking with a bit of sarcasm and bad taste.

"Mudblood"

Slytherin chewed the word in his mouth. His expression was cold, but there was a hint of emotion in his tone.
"Interesting word, Malfoy—"

But before Malfoy and Greengrass's expressions brightened, Salazar Slytherin's eyes suddenly became strong.

Even Amos Tower and Dumbledore, who were leaning against the wall, felt as if a heavy mountain was pressing down on them, while Malfoy and Greengrass, who were bearing the gaze head-on, were shaking their bodies and only stayed close to each other to avoid falling to the ground!

"I hope you'll remember my words, Malfoy, Greengrass -"

Salazar Slytherin said softly, "You are not qualified to comment on Godric's behavior, unless you are stronger than Godric. In addition, it is not my wish to allow those who are not from noble pure-blood families and have awakened magic to enter Hogwarts, but since I have agreed to the proposal of Godric, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, then you..."

Salazar Slytherin leaned forward, and Malfoy and Greengrass suddenly had the illusion that they were in the shadow of a ferocious, huge dragon!
"--I am also not qualified to comment."

Slytherin said, and then turned and walked towards the hall with his robes flying.
"Miss Greengrass, one month detention.

Malfoy, and since you are particularly interested in the paper I am assigning, I would like to see a three-foot-long paper appear on my desk before the end of this week."

Hiss. Three feet!
Amosta smacked his lips. This was really cruel!

Survived!

The two ancestors of the Malfoy and Greengrass families staggered against the edge of the corridor, and the looks they gave each other expressed their inner relief.

"Professor Slytherin is probably the most powerful of our families."

Malfoy swallowed his saliva with a gulp, and said breathlessly that although he was severely taught a lesson, his eyes were full of admiration as he stared at Slytherin's receding back!
Greengrass didn't say anything, but nodded with a sympathetic look.

"I think we'd better keep up with the Slytherins, Headmaster Dumbledore—"

Amosta said, and then took a step forward.

"What a wonderful experience, Amosta--"

Dumbledore followed, speaking rapidly,
"I never expected to be able to glimpse a memory of Salazar Slytherin himself. Do you think it is possible that Tom has also experienced this memory, Amosta?"

After a moment's hesitation, Amosta shook his head.
"I can't say for sure, Headmaster Dumbledore. Anything is possible."

They followed the Slytherin into the hall quickly.

There were some beautiful and new paintings on the walls of the entrance hall, but a thousand years later at Hogwarts, these paintings had disappeared. I wonder if they had been eroded by time.

In addition, the chandeliers hanging from the ceiling of the auditorium also have a golden color and seem to be made of pure gold, which is also different from later generations.

However, there is nothing strange about this.

After the Big Four left one after another and before the Board of Directors stepped in, Hogwarts went through a long period of financial hardship.

At that time, in order to keep the magic school running, the castle's managers might have to sell some of the school's property.

Compared to Amosta who was more concerned about Slytherin, Dumbledore was also very interested in Hogwarts a thousand years ago. He looked around and took in the castle's new appearance with great interest.

Slytherin was stopped in the hall by an elderly wizard who was still wearing a thick woolen sweater at the turn of spring and summer.

"Look at this, Salazar!"

When Amosta and Dumbledore approached, the old wizard had already greeted Slytherin and was showing him a stack of parchment manuscripts several inches thick.

"I have read every book I could find, proofread and revised it myself, and I can assure you that every piece of history in the book is true and reliable!"

"Professor Binns--"

Not to mention Dumbledore, even Amosta, who had entered and exited the memories of the Big Four many times, had his eyes wide open.

"I'm really not used to him being like this."

Amosta said in surprise.

"I couldn't agree more, Amosta--"

Dumbledore couldn't help but marvel at it!
Dumbledore, who had lived a long and legendary life, could not help but be curious when he saw the physical Professor Binns. He circled around the short old wizard and looked at the professor who had "served" the longest at Hogwarts!
The cold Slytherin was quite friendly to Professor Binns. He took the manuscript and flipped through a few pages.

"You have done something very meaningful, Binns. Forgetting history is as shameful as betraying one's own bloodline. I am willing to take the time to read your works, but not now--"

Slytherin returned the manuscript to Professor Binns.

"I have something I need to talk to Godric about right now, so please excuse me--" (End of this chapter)
