Homecoming from Hogwarts

Chapter 1243: Shared Fate

pat!

The resurrection stone with several more emerald star rings was thrown by Amostas onto the wooden table. After rolling a few times, it became quiet.

Dumbledore's lips moved.

He wanted to ask Amosta whether it was necessary to try and see if they could break the restraining spell left by Slytherin, but after thinking for a few breaths, he shook his head slightly.

Like Amosta, Dumbledore also sat down slowly, staring at the shadowy figure in front of him with a look of sadness in his eyes.

The results of tonight's adventure should be cause for celebration. And so it is.

He and Amosta found another of Tom's Horcruxes and destroyed it.

He also found the Resurrection Stone, and used it to meet Ariana again.

Ariana forgave him for the terrible sin he committed, or rather, Ariana never blamed him.

Dumbledore's pupils sparkled behind the half-moon mirror frame
He actually knew very well in his heart that Ariana would forgive him, after all, she was such a kind girl.

However, after receiving Ariana's forgiveness, a sense of relief still filled his heart.

Everything was perfect, if you didn't count the little surprise that Azazel Slytherin brought him.

Dumbledore glanced sideways at the Resurrection Stone surrounded by witchcraft, with a hint of bitterness between his furrowed brows.

The Resurrection Stone is no longer usable, which is a good thing intellectually.

What really made Dumbledore worried was that one of the four founders of Hogwarts, the great Salazar Slytherin, was determined to defend the right of his bloodline to continue to exist after a thousand years.

And the bloodline of Slytherin a thousand years later is Tom Riddle, whom he is determined to eliminate at all costs!

Sealing the Resurrection Stone had nothing to do with his determination to get rid of Tom. After all, the fragment of Tom's soul in the Resurrection Stone had disappeared.

Slytherin did not constrain him;
Hesitating, Dumbledore's hoarse voice rang out in the woods,
"Some of the things you are going to do require the use of the Resurrection Stone, right?"

Amosta kept silent and just nodded sullenly.

"That is to say."

Dumbledore sighed and frowned.
"You have to let Tom live?"

"Do we have to let him live?"

Amosta sneered,

"In fact, what Slytherin wants me to do is much more interesting than this, Headmaster Dumbledore. But I had expected this. Hmm, I just didn't expect that he would add another insurance measure."

Dumbledore continued to frown deeply.

Amosta's words were obscure and confusing. Dumbledore knew very well that Amosta should be cautious and did not want to make it too clear, but -
A past event he had shared with Amosta popped into his mind, which somewhat dispelled the doubts that had lingered in Dumbledore's heart.

The resurrection stone is an additional safety device, which is the second safety device. So, the first safety device must be
Amosta stood up from the stool and paced slowly around the wooden table.

Now, he has come to his senses a little.

Although the memories left by Slytherin are short and seem to be mostly filled with meaningless content, in fact, key information is hidden in them.

He revealed to himself a secret about Godric Gryffindor and Rowena Ravenclaw. Needless to say, this was just a pretext.

The other thing that Slytherin wanted him to know was the last part of his memory. He wanted to borrow the sword of Gryffindor that had been passed down to future generations.

But what did he want to borrow the Sword of Gryffindor for?
Compared to the revelations left by the other three founders, the message left by Salazar Slytherin is much more obscure.

It was like a test of his wisdom. After thinking about Slytherin's intention, Amosta put the question aside. It was probably because of Slytherin's "bad" character, which was very similar to him.
Dumbledore just watched Amosta pace in front of him silently, keeping quiet so as not to disturb Amosta's thoughts.

He has always been very clear that this outstanding young man in front of him has a dark secret hidden in his heart.

He had previously guessed that the secret that Amosita still couldn't forget even when the situation between them and Tom was so serious must be no trivial matter.

Resurrection Stone. Ariana's meaningful words revealed some mysteries that exist in Amosta itself.

And Salazar Slytherin's memory allowed him to understand a part of the secret that Amosstar was pursuing!
Merlin's Relics. Despicable Herpo
Looking at Amosta who was deep in thought under the moonlight in front of him, Dumbledore was slightly moved.

What he carries is heavier than he thought.
Dumbledore's blue eyes became slightly moist, and in a trance, he seemed to see himself in Amosta.

On many quiet nights, he paced back and forth in his office at Hogwarts alone, full of sorrow, thinking hard about how to solve the crisis that Tom brought to the wizarding world, and how to guide Harry and his friends to grow up without making a sound.
It wasn't until Amosta returned to Hogwarts that he felt relieved.

The appearance of Amosta provided him with more options, so that he did not have to carefully manipulate Harry's growth.

Yes, that's right, control.

He didn't want to interfere with Harry's growth. He was willing to let the young man remain innocent and kind-hearted and live out his life.

But everything is determined by fate and has no control over us.

Harry must face his fate even today.

However, the appearance of Amosta undoubtedly made Harry's life, which was originally going to be more difficult, much easier.

He should bear the responsibility, Harry should bear the responsibility, and even Amelia and other officials of the Ministry of Magic should bear the responsibility.
All these responsibilities will not disappear out of thin air. They feel a little relieved only because someone has taken on their responsibilities.

The humidity in the air grew thicker and thicker, and wisps of miasma rose from the rotten leaves under their feet, gradually gathering together and dispersing around them.

Dumbledore made the fire that Amosstar had made earlier burn more vigorously, and then looked at the fluorescent Resurrection Stone that Amosstar had thrown on the wooden table.

He had to admit that he still felt regretful.

He would not disturb Ariana's slumber again for his own desires, but if the resurrection stone could still be used, he would use it again.

Aberforth would definitely want to see Ariana, as he was in as much pain as I was.

Maybe Ariana could help persuade Aberforth to stop being angry with him. This was such a cowardly thought.

It seems that I haven't made much progress since I was young.

"Going back to Hogwarts, Headmaster Dumbledore?"

Amosta's voice reached his ears, pulling him out of his thoughts.

Dumbledore looked at Amosta. In the night sky, the waning moon was just above Amosta's head.

The frown on the outstanding young man in front of him had relaxed, and it was obvious that the doubts that had been bothering him no longer existed.

"Oh, that is indeed my plan--"

Dumbledore said in a brisk tone. He stood up, picked up the Resurrection Stone on the table and handed it to Amosta.

"What about you, Amosta?"

"Ah, I'm sorry, we have to go our separate ways then—"

Amosta smiled inexplicably.

"I have something else to do." (End of this chapter)
