Homecoming from Hogwarts

Chapter 1267 Voldemort's Plan

The strong wind created by Fox's wings blew the letters on Amosta's desk into pieces.

After circling the low kitchen and overturning many pots and pans, Fox stood on Amosta's shoulder and touched Amosta's cheek affectionately with his beak.

It liked the warmth and light of the wizard's magic.

Remus and Severus looked at each other, both a little surprised by the other's appearance.

Remus's surprise was tinged with embarrassment.

He came to invite Amosta to his wedding, but he did not invite Severus.

In fact, he had intended to do so.

After all, those acquaintances from that time are either dead or injured, and those who are still alive don’t have much contact with us now.

Although Severus and he had a bad relationship during their student days, they were now in the Order of the Phoenix, fighting together against Voldemort.

Coupled with the existence of Amosta, the past grudges have actually eased a lot.

The final reason for Remus not to invite Severus was actually some of Severus' own experiences.

Because of James, Sirius was determined to mock the unclear relationship between Severus and Lily.

But he was more objective than Sirius.

He vaguely knew that the reason why Severus left Voldemort's camp and was deeply trusted by Albus was because he loved Lily deeply.

The fact that Severus had remained single for so many years proved this.

So, he didn't want his wedding to cause Severus sadness and irritate him.

"Urgent?"

Giving Fox a blank look, Amosta looked over calmly.

It goes without saying that if it wasn't an urgent matter, Dumbledore would not have asked Fawkes to send Severus over.

Severus nodded. He looked at Remus expressionlessly, who was hesitant to speak, and misunderstood his meaning.
"It has something to do with you, too."

"Oh--"

Remus blinked in surprise.

"Ok."

After simply tidying up the table, Severus and Remus sat down, while Fawkes was held in Amosita's arms.

"I was at Voldemort's before I came here from Hogwarts."

With just one sentence, the embarrassment on Remus' face disappeared completely, and his expression became solemn.

"What's going on? Is Voldemort going to give me a hard time again?"

Amosta looked relaxed. He asked with a smile while fiddling with Fox's beak.

"He intends to take revenge—"

Severus said in a serious tone.

"In retaliation for your proposal to form a joint force at the International Confederation of Wizards to define the Death Eaters as an international terrorist organization."

"What is he going to do?"

Remus couldn't help but ask with concern.

Severus glanced at Remus, then turned his gaze back to Amosta.

"He put Adam Vogel in charge of this matter. All the criminals who escaped from Ekstad will be involved in the sabotage plan. I don't know the specific plan, but he won't let the Death Eaters get involved."

"why?"

Remus asked confusedly.
"Voldemort no longer trusts Death Eaters?"

Severus remained silent, so Remus had to seek Amosita's explanation. However, Amosita's indifferent expression made Remus stunned.
"You already know that, Amosta?"

"It would be strange if Voldemort did not respond to my provocation." Amosita's mouth twitched.
"As for not allowing the Death Eaters to participate in the plan, I'm afraid our Lord Dark Lord has also realized that under the current circumstances, it is not a wise move to allow the Death Eaters to be too active outside of the UK. This will only make the international wizarding community more united against the Death Eaters."

"That Adam Vogel"

Remus frowned deeply.
"You arrested him. Do you know him? What do you think he will do?"

The establishment of the combined forces was, to some extent, a blow to the Death Eaters no less severe than the Battle of Diagon Alley.

This is another morale-boosting move by Amosta. If it is sabotaged, the current prosperous situation will probably fall into decline again.

"Just an ambitious man who wants to see the world plunged into war—"

Amosta said.

He intervened and sent Adam Vogel to Azkaban instead of being held in Ekstad.

The original intention was to send him to Voldemort.

Although he had only met him once, Amosita knew very well that this kind of wizard was just more eager to see the world go up in flames rather than to achieve any goal like making wizards feel proud in front of Muggles.

The reason why he exists is just to make the European wizarding world more closely connected, rather than to let other countries stand on the shore and watch the joke of the British wizarding world.

Seeing Amosta's indifferent look, Severus knew what was going on.

Compared to the last two things he was going to talk about, Dumbledore was obviously more worried about more vicious incidents occurring internationally.

"So, what about the Death Eaters?"

Amosta did not explain his response in detail, but turned to look at Severus.
"Did Voldemort assign them any new tasks?"

Severus' eyes flickered, but he didn't say anything, but looked at Remus.

Seeing this, Amosta's brows suddenly furrowed, then after relaxing for a few seconds, they furrowed even more.

And the look Severus gave Remus also confused him.
"Voldemort is going to attack me. Why, oh, he's going to gather his Death Eaters and attack the Learning Machine Workshop?"

"I doubt the Dark Lord has the vision to do that—"

Severus tilted his mouth corners, wanting to show a sarcastic smile, but he realized that it was inappropriate to do so, so after twitching his mouth corners a few times, Severus said coldly,
"The Dark Lord evidently considers a wedding between two mismatched wizards at an inappropriate time to be an affront to the purebloods, and he is not prepared to sit idly by and allow this to happen."

Fox let out a few clear cries, breaking the suffocating silence.

After a brief moment of confusion, Remus's expression suddenly turned grim.
"He's planning on sending Death Eaters to sabotage my wedding to Tonks, isn't he!"

Severus glanced at Remus sideways and said nothing more.

"Is Voldemort planning to send all of his Death Eaters to do this?"

The candlelight from the candelabra cast a flickering shadow on Amosta's face, just like his unpredictable mood.

After a long silence, Amosta began to fiddle with Fox's beak again.

"He said this—"

Severus said calmly.

Amosta didn't investigate why Voldemort got the news of Remus's marriage so quickly. Since Tonks' parents had already started notifying relatives, it was not surprising to hear about this matter in the small circle of pure-blood wizards.

"So, Remus--"

Amosta's eyes were fixed on Remus, whose face was ashen.
"Do you plan on inviting Harry to your wedding?"

Remus and Severus both had realization in their eyes.

"You mean!"

Remus exclaimed in surprise.
"I do have this plan. The wedding is scheduled for the weekend, and I think it should be in time for Harry and their friends to attend. But I haven't made up my mind yet. After all, Hogwarts is the safest place now. Amosta——"

Remus asked solemnly,
"You think Voldemort has guessed my plan, so I hope to take this opportunity."

"wrong."

There was a brief silence. Before Amosta could speak, Severus spoke first. (End of this chapter)
