Homecoming from Hogwarts

Chapter 1282 Arrival

"Ron, don't forget what we agreed on!"

After Ron, who was curled up in the quilt, mumbled an indistinct response, Harry, who had changed into casual clothes, grabbed the gold watch on his desk, put it on his hand, and hurried out of the dormitory.

Saturday, 5:20 AM.

In the past, you would not have likely seen students wandering around Hogwarts, but today the situation was slightly different.

Harry, who thought he would be late, rushed out of the dormitory. He saw many people dawdling in the common room and on the stairs of the tower. Their unsteady gait made them look like a group of directionless ghosts.

"I really don't understand why Professor Brain would wake us up so early--"

Harry's uneasy heart was immediately relieved when he saw Neville and others complaining and yawning on the stairs.

"We may have to travel a long way--"

Seamus guessed listlessly, but Harry, who followed them silently, knew that this was impossible.

This study tour is a round trip on the same day, so they don't have to stay overnight outside the school. Most likely, they will reach Avalon Prison directly via the portkey.

At the end of October, at around five in the morning, the sky was pure black, and not a single ray of sunlight could be seen in the sky.

The cold wind that blew into the castle from the corridor not only made Harry, who was coughing all day, quickly regain consciousness, but the rich water vapor in the cold air also made Harry realize that today might not be a good day.

In order to take care of these little wizards who were studying, the elves in the kitchen also went to work early, but this did not affect their cooking skills.

Only a small portion of the candles floating above the auditorium were lit, and the dim light illuminated the delicious breakfasts on several long tables.

Professor Brian sat alone at the faculty table. He looked no different from usual. With a calm demeanor, he compared the research lists submitted by several deans and, from time to time, stuffed two spoonfuls of porridge into his mouth.

Harry withdrew his gaze and began to find Hermione's figure in the front half of the dining table.

She was not as energetic as usual. Hermione and Ginny were huddled together, dozing with their heads touching, ignoring the dazzling array of food.

"Good morning, Hermione, Ginny—"

Harry walked over.

"Did Professor Blaine say anything?"

Hearing Harry's voice, Ginny gently pushed Hermione away and sat up straight.

"He said roll call would start at half past five--"

"I think the time has come--"

Just as Ginny finished speaking, Professor Brian's loud voice came from the front of the hall.

In the auditorium, which seemed much emptier without the first, second and third grade students and the exchange group, the sound of stools being pushed could be heard sporadically.

The little wizards who were dozing off in various corners finally came to life and gathered towards the faculty and staff table.

Harry looked at the breakfast on the table, and thinking that he couldn't spend the whole morning on an empty stomach, he quickly wrapped a few pieces of greasy pie and a few boiled eggs in a napkin and stuffed them into his pocket.

"Now let's start calling the roll--"

Professor Brian said with a hint of authority.

Professor Brain said the names of the students one by one. Harry listened carefully and finally confirmed that Malfoy did not come.

"Before we set off, I want to remind you all--"

Professor Brian behind the staff table said solemnly,

"Everything you say and do in Avalon Prison represents the image of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, so I hope you can abide by the rules and remain quiet during the tour."

Harry thought that Professor Blaine's reminder was a bit unnecessary.

Harry had never met a student who dared to act rashly in front of him.

Seeing the little wizards nodding in agreement, Amosta also nodded slightly. He shook out his wand and waved it, and the scattered benches beside the dining table became neat and tidy.

"Line up in a long line according to the college and grade. The class leader is responsible for maintaining the formation. During the tour, unless I say free movement, you have to move in a queue -" "Professor Brian -"

Among the Slytherin group, Nott raised his hand eagerly.
"Draco and Pansy aren't here."

"Then you and Miss Bulstrode will serve as temporary prefects of Slytherin--"

Amosta said, pausing, he looked at Gryffindor again,

"Mr. Potter, you are replacing Mr. Weasley--"

Before Harry could come to his senses, Hermione pulled him away from Ginny and started helping the Gryffindor students line up.

It took more than ten minutes for the auditorium, which was noisy with footsteps and pulling sounds, to gradually return to silence. The students could guess from Professor Brian's slightly frowned brow that he was probably not very satisfied with their crooked queue.

More than half of the students at Hogwarts were already in the Great Hall, and the ends of the four teams had already entered the entrance hall.

After helping a seventh-year senior find his seat, Harry shivered a few times as a cold wind carrying moisture rushed into the hallway.

As he had expected, it rained.

"How are we going to get to Avalon Prison, Professor?"

Seamus's question was heard in the hall, and Harry hurried to the front of the line.

"A Portkey, of course, Mr Finnigan—"

Professor Bryan gave an unsurprising answer.

Under the gaze of the students, the tip of the wand raised by Professor Brian glowed with a pale golden, flowing light.

The light continued to pour out and split into four streams above Professor Brian's head, flying towards the four teams respectively.

The light changed its form during the flight, extending itself into a transparent bubble and enveloping all the people from the four colleges, as if Professor Brian had used four large light golden bags to hold everyone.

Harry touched the barrier beside him curiously.

The texture of that thin, twisted light film is like bubbles, but it is not easy to break.

Most people were curiously poking at the soft barrier around them like Harry, and didn't notice that Professor Brain had taken out an oak leaf emitting an even brighter golden glow from somewhere and held it in his palm.

"Please note that we will be using the Portkey to reach Avalon Prison in ten seconds!"

Amosta raised his voice slightly, drawing the gradually excited little wizards' gazes towards him.

Ten, nine, eight, three, two, one!

As the countdown ended, the soft barrier covering the young wizards suddenly shone brightly. For a moment, all Harry could see was the blinding golden light.

call!
The dizzy feeling hit Harry unexpectedly, and the countless chaotic lights and shadows in front of him made it impossible for him to see anything clearly. His shoulder seemed to have collided heavily with Colin, but before he could cry out in pain -
Boom!
As the heavy impact sounded, a fresh scent of earth rushed into my nostrils.

"Oh, my glasses!"

Harry had no time to pay attention to the cries of pain coming from all around him. When his cheek came into close contact with the ground, his glasses fell off. Now, there was only a blur in front of his eyes.

A pair of white hands handed him the glasses and then helped him stand up.

"Thanks--"

Harry took the glasses and put them on, then he realized that the person who helped him up was Ginny. He smiled at Ginny shyly, and Ginny pursed her lips at him.

"We're here, aren't we? Oh!"

The first time Harry looked around, his brows furrowed, and after exclaiming, his sleeves trembled and he was about to take out his wand.

"Better not to move, kids!"

A sharp command suddenly sounded, and Harry froze in place as dozens of cold gazes were directed at him! (End of this chapter)
