Chapter 101 Meet Again
According to Mary's route guidance, the Dodge Challenger drove quickly on the road.

Ethan grabbed the steering wheel and asked curiously, "What's wrong with your friend?"

Mary shook her head, "I don't know."

Ethan glanced at Mary out of the corner of his eye, "Then you are?"

She grabbed the box in her hand and said embarrassedly:

"Strictly speaking, he is not my friend. I, like you, just met yesterday."

"At that time, he had a dispute with a person in the medical team, and I went to dissuade them both."

"I saw that he was very pale, so I left him my business card and asked him to call me if he needed medical assistance."

"After you left just now, I received a call from his friend saying that he had fainted."

Ethan changed lanes and followed her words:
"So you're going to help him now?"

Mary nodded, took out the cigarette case from her pocket, and after asking Ethan's permission, she lit the cigarette.

Ethan tapped his fingers on the steering wheel a few times, "This sounds unbelievable, I think you should know what I mean."

"The part about him fainting?"

Mary looked at Ethan with raised eyebrows, "Or is it the part of me helping strangers?"

Ethan turned the steering wheel, overtook a car in front and said, "It's all a little bit, please forgive me, because of my work, I have seen a lot of ugliness in human nature."

"You went to free medical assistance yesterday, and I can tell you're a nice guy."

"But that person was the first time you met yesterday, so you go to help him..."

When he said this, Ethan gripped the steering wheel tightly and pursed his lips.

He remembered what happened to him yesterday. It was a stranger who had never met him who pushed him. Otherwise, he would be seriously injured if he didn't die. Why should he question other people's good deeds now?

When thinking of this, Ethan felt a little hot on his face.

Mary didn't notice his small movements, and after exhaling smoke, she said slowly: "My father passed away when I was very young."

"My mother also has a certain mental disorder, and she rarely communicates with outsiders."

"I was able to get to where I am today with the help of many people, so I also swore to myself to help others as much as possible within my ability."

"A lot of people don't understand what I do and think I'm stupid."

Mary shook her head herself, then gave a wry smile.

Ethan turned his head and glanced at her, and said seriously:
"No, you must not care about what other people think, you are doing nothing wrong."

"Really?" Mary raised her head and looked at him in confusion.

Ethan nodded heavily, "Actually, I want to apologize for what I just said."

"I shouldn't have questioned your kindness just now. I'm ashamed of myself."

"When I went to your clinic to look for you yesterday, a small accident happened. It was a stranger who helped me. I can sit here and chat with you now."

Ethan turned his head again, smiled at Mary and said:
"You were right and I was wrong."

"No, we are all right." Mary also responded with a smile: "Aren't you helping me, a stranger, now?"

Ethan shrugged his shoulders, "I'm coveting your beauty, and I want to find a chance to get to know you."

Mary burst out laughing when she heard what he said.

Ten minutes later, the Dodge Challenger slowed down.

After Ethan pulled over and parked the car, Mary picked up the small box in her hand and wanted to get out of the car.

"Wait a moment."

Ethan took her hand, then turned off the ignition and unbuckled the seat belt.

Looking at Mary's puzzled eyes, Ethan said:
"Wherever this is, you don't think I'm leaving you alone?"

Mary looked at Ethan with a touch of emotion, then took out a can of anti-wolf spray from her pocket, and said proudly:
"Don't you think I'm a fool, I have this."

Ethan smiled and lifted his coat.

In his underarm holster was a silver revolver with a chilling 6-inch barrel.

He raised an eyebrow at Mary. "I have this."

Only then did Mary remember Ethan's identity, so she put the anti-wolf spray back in her pocket angrily.

After getting off the car, Ethan looked at the sign above, it was obvious that this was a tavern.

The two looked at each other, and Mary nodded, confirming that it was this place.

It was still early, the tavern hadn't opened yet, and there was a small sign on the door that said it was not open for business hours.

Ethan walked to the glass door of the tavern, raised his hand and clapped it hard a few times.

"bang bang bang"

The door frame collided with a muffled sound.

After a while, the bamboo curtain covering the glass door was lifted, and a man in a floral shirt with a high nose appeared behind the glass door.

He scratched his messy long hair, spread his hands, and said through the glass door:
"Dude, we're not open yet, so come back later."

Mary pushed Ethan away, stood in front of the door and said anxiously:

"Hello, I'm a doctor. I just received a call for help."

The floral shirt glanced at Ethan, then looked at Mary, and asked:

"You are Dr. Mary Sebastian? What about him?"

"He was with me."

Mary responded, and at the same time lifted the box in her hand. If the other party refused to let Ethan in, she was not stupid, so she turned around and left.

"come in."

After the flowered shirt hesitated for a moment, he stretched out his hand and opened the door, allowing the two of them to enter the tavern.

After they all went in, they stood still and looked at each other.

"Why are you all looking at me?"

Flower Shirt saw Ethan and Mary staring at him, and spread his hands.

"Where's the patient?"

Mary asked helplessly.

The floral shirt patted his forehead heavily, and said embarrassedly:

"Upstairs, follow me."

Then he walked towards the stairs behind the tavern, and Mary gave Ethan a worried look.

Ethan nodded to her, and then took a step ahead, walking in front of Mary.

When going up the stairs, Ethan put his hands under his armpits while paying attention to the movement around him.

Following the floral shirt to the second floor, he came to a room at the end of the corridor, pushed the door open, and walked in.

Ethan hurriedly followed. It was a small room with a sweeping view inside. There was a bed and sundry shelves.

The flowered shirt leaned against the sundries shelf and stretched out his hand towards the bed.

"He is here. I don't know what happened to him. I found him fainted on the ground in the morning."

A man in a black suit was lying on the bed without taking off his shoes.

Ethan walked in and took a look, blinking in surprise.

The hand stretched into his arms could not help but loosen. The person lying on the bed was the same person who rescued him at the gate of the clinic yesterday.

Short hair and pale face, as if he hasn't been in the sun for a long time.

At this time, Mary also squeezed out from behind him, and hastily opened the box in her hand.

After she took out some simple medical tools from the box, she checked the man who had fainted on the bed.
