Chapter 52 Choice
Ethan could tell that this time was different from Jaber's usual habit of complaining.

He was using those two words very seriously, as could be seen from the expression on his face.

After Jia Bo's voice fell, Candy pretended not to hear anything, picked up the glass and took a sip. The bar was quiet and the atmosphere was slightly awkward.

Seeing Jab's angry face, Carly said helplessly:

"You know, I can't help it."

Jaber smiled, "Hood spent more than ten years in prison because of that incident. In order to track down your whereabouts, Rabbit kept sending people into the prison to try to torture him."

"And your reward is to handcuff him and give him to the rabbit?"

Facing Jaber's questioning, Carly pursed her lips, and after a while, she slowly said:

"I warned him that he would lead the rabbit over, but he didn't listen and insisted on staying. What do you want me to do?"

"I have my family here, my daughter, my son are here and I have to keep them safe."

"Then you can sell him, right?" Jaber sneered.

"I know I did something wrong, Jaber, I beg you."

Carly choked up and said, "That's my child, for the sake of past love, please help me."

"Fayu"

This time Jaber's tone softened, and then he sighed heavily "If I'm not helping you, what am I doing here, put away your boring tears, that only works for Hood."

"This computer is yours, I hope you can use it."

Jaber turned the direction of a laptop next to him, and then continued to complain: "Don't be like a certain person, even if you find a tablet, tell me it's a fucking technology."

Ethan coughed in embarrassment, and reached out to take the beer from Candy.

Candy shrugged his shoulders at him, and smiled secretly. Usually, he was bullied a lot, but now seeing Ethan being bullied, he felt secretly refreshed.

Ethan was playing with the wine bottle boredly, watching Jaber and Carly busy in front of the computer.

At this moment, his cell phone rang.

"Ethan, good news, Gordon's son Max has returned home." Siobhan's voice came from the phone.

"What? Say it again."

"Not long ago, Max showed up at the door by himself. He is fine."

"Okay, I know."

Ethan hung up the phone, and the others looked at him. He said slowly, "How long has it been since you contacted Hood?"

While several people were looking at each other in blank dismay, someone was tapping on the wooden door of the bar again.

Carly hastily put her hand into the bag she just brought, and pulled out a pistol. Jaber held her hand down to calm her down.

Candy walked over with the shotgun, opening the door quickly this time.

Gordon looked at the shotgun in Candy's hand, then walked into the bar

"Max is back."

"What are you talking about? What do you mean Max is back?" Carly leaned on the back of the chair and stood up.

Gordon put his hands in his pockets and said, "He's safe now, with Tifa and the FBI, he just got home.

"No, I don't understand why he came back all of a sudden."

"The doorbell rang, he showed up at the door, Max said his captors had dropped him off at a junction near his home, and he walked home."

Gordon took a few steps forward and continued, "Max also said that the old man with white hair asked him to bring you a message."

"What?"

"He said you've been forgiven and you can move on with your life."

Remembering what Ethan asked just now, Carly's face changed, and she sat back on the chair heavily, "Hood exchanged Max with himself."

"Fake, what shall we do now." Jaber pushed away the keyboard in his hand angrily.

Gordon stammered: "I don't understand why Sheriff Hood chose to do this, but don't worry, I will immediately notify the FBI to let them rescue Hood."

"Wait a minute, Jab," Ethan said decisively, and pointed at Carly secretly, "How did you find out where Hood is last time?"

"By the way, why did I forget?"

Jaber slapped his head, "I installed tracking software on Hood's phone before, so I can directly locate his location."

As soon as he tapped on the keyboard, the satellite map on the screen kept shrinking, and a position was locked.

"Candy, come and see what this place is?"

Candy ran over quickly, leaned in front of the computer screen to take a closer look, and slammed the table

"This is Batumes. There's an abandoned metal factory."

As soon as he finished speaking, Jabo stood up quickly, glanced at Ethan, and grabbed the pistol on the bar.

Ethan also supported the Glock 17 on his waist and stood up, Candy quickly picked up the shotgun and followed.

Carly bent down to open the black bag she brought, and took out the holster with the pistol stuffed in it and put it on her waist.

"Wait a minute, what are you doing? What we should do now is notify the FBI."

"I can't do this. He will die at any time. Hood traded himself for Max. I must go to save him immediately."

"Hey, I don't know what role Hood played in this, but we now have two young children who are in a state of extreme panic, and their lives are completely disrupted, and they need their mother by their side."

Gordon continued to say excitedly, "You can't leave like this. At this moment, there is nothing more important than two children."

"And you, Ethan, you are the police officer of Banshee Town, what are you doing?"

Ethan shrugged his shoulders, "Gordon, I understand your feelings, you are right, I am the police officer of Banshee Town, and I am going to save the sheriff of Banshee Town now, I don't think this is a problem."

After speaking, Ethan walked outside the bar.

Candy and Jabo followed. Before Jabo went out, he looked back at Carly who was in a dilemma, not knowing what choice she would make.

After Ethan walked out of the bar, he walked behind his Dodge Challenger, opened the trunk, and took out the M4A1 and several spare magazines in the space under cover.

Inserting the spare magazine into the belt, throwing the M4A1 on the passenger seat, tightening the Colt Python revolver in the holster under his ribs, Ethan started the car and drove to Jaber.

"We are likely to die. Are you sure you want to do this?" Jaber sat in the co-pilot and said solemnly.

"Of course, don't look at my age, I was a good player in the early years, don't worry." Candy held the steering wheel nervously.

He didn't pay attention, but when Jabo spoke, his eyes fell on Ethan.

Ethan didn't speak, just kicked the accelerator.

As the vehicle was about to leave, Carly strode out of the bar with her bag in hand.

"Do you still have room for this car?"

Looking at the resolute Carly, Ethan nodded, so Carly opened the car door and bent over to get into the back row.

Ethan noticed that when Carly came out, there was a smile on the corner of Jaber's mouth.

At this time, Gordon also walked out of the bar with heavy steps.

He crossed his arms and watched solemnly as the two cars in front of him quickly disappeared into the night.
