Chapter 61 Persuasion
The next day, Ethan was woken up by a vibrating alarm.

After staring at the little bird jumping on the branch outside the window for a while, he lifted the quilt.

Last night, I played at the Savoy Gentleman's Club until two o'clock, and I had another drink when I came back. If I hadn't gone to work today, I would have slept until the afternoon before getting up.

Yawning and coming to the living room, Ethan slapped his head when he saw two people lying in the living room covered with blankets, and hurried back to the room to put on his pants.

"Wake up."

Ethan kicked Jabor's foot, shaking him awake.

"Did I sleep all day?"

Seeing the dazzling light, Jia Bo rubbed his eyes, thinking it was a light.

"I'm going to work, remember to close the door when you leave."

"Okay, I see, you hurry up and don't disturb my sleep."

Jia Bo pulled off the blanket and fell back into a deep sleep. Candy had no intention of waking up at all, and fell into a deep sleep.

These two bastards almost drank all their wine last night, and fell asleep on the living room floor after getting drunk. Ethan looked helplessly at his wine cabinet.

After changing his uniform and going out, he first took a look at the place where the clothes were burned last night, and there were only a few ashes left inside.

After picking up the shovel and getting some soil to cover it, Ethan drove away.

When he came outside the police station, he accidentally saw a man he hadn't seen for a long time, and he quickly stopped the car.

"Hey, long time no see."

Rebecca was leaning against the wall of the police station in a white dress, playing with her fingers boredly, and heard Ethan's voice. She raised her head happily, "Why did you just come here? I've been waiting for you for a long time."

"Who are you?" Ethan pointed to her attire, and Rebecca wasn't wearing the traditional Amish attire.

"Let's find a place to sit." Rebecca forced a smile.

Ethan glanced at his watch, "Let's go, let's have breakfast."

Walked through the parking lot to the Miles restaurant, greeted the busy Dahlia, and came to the usual sitting place.

This location is in a corner of Miles restaurant, with its back against the wall and facing the entire restaurant, it is a good location for quietness.

Rebecca glanced at Dahlia, walked over to Ethan and sat down.

"Give me a sandwich, coffee, thank you." Ethan ordered two things at random, and then looked at Rebecca.

"What do you want?"

"Just like yours."

"Okay, let's have two."

Dalia nodded, poked the notebook in her hand with a pen, smiled at Ethan and walked towards the kitchen.

"You and her?" Rebecca asked with her chin on her hand, blinking her eyes.

"Just like you, we are all friends. By the way, I haven't seen you for a long time. I sent you a message and didn't reply."

Rebecca leaned back in her chair, her eyes dimmed
"I was grounded by my tribe for a while, and I was expelled from home yesterday."

"why is that?"

"My family found my mobile phone, cosmetics, and magazines hidden at home." Rebecca glanced at the side, and then whispered:

"And some small toys."

At this time, Dahlia came over with breakfast, Ethan thanked him and reached out to take it, looking at Rebecca.

Rebecca looked at the sandwich in front of her in confusion, "When I deviated from the way of life of my tribe, I thought they would avoid me, but I didn't expect that I would be directly expelled from home."

Ethan didn't know much about the Amish community, other than that they were a traditional, conservative religious group made up of descendants of German-Swiss immigrants.

They reject modern high technology and live an isolated life.

For those who violate their way of life and beliefs, they will not talk to you, look at you, or even eat at the same table with you until you repent of what you have done.

The more serious case is direct expulsion, which is what Rebecca is encountering now.

Ethan took a sip of coffee and looked at Rebecca with red eyes.

"Then what are your plans next?"

"I don't know either. I just came to live at my uncle's house yesterday. I came to see you today."

"It can be seen that you should have had a good time during this time, did the waiter have an affair with you just now?"

Rebecca picked up the sandwich and took a bite, pulled herself together and teased him, Ethan smiled and picked up the coffee cup.

After the two chatted for a while, the glass door of Myers restaurant was pushed open, and Proctor walked in.

Ethan put down his glass and greeted him, "Mr. Proctor."

"Uncle, why are you here?" Rebecca was a little surprised, then happily got up and hugged Proctor

Proctor hugged Rebecca with one hand with a smile on his face, and then took half a step back.

"Ethan, this is my niece Rebecca, Rebecca, this is Officer Ethan Morgan from the Banshee Town Police Department."

"But I suppose you already know each other already?"

"Uncle, sit down first, I'll go to the bathroom." Rebecca smiled sheepishly, and then left quickly
After watching Rebecca leave, Proctor turned his head and sat down unceremoniously, the smile on his face disappeared, and his eyes became cold.

"Have you ever fucked my niece?"

Proctor's style was still so simple and direct, Ethan didn't speak, and slowly stirred the coffee with a spoon.

The next moment, a cold light flashed.

Proctor grabbed the table knife in his hand and quickly stabbed Ethan in the neck.

Ethan's reaction was astonishing, and he blocked Proctor's hand with one hand.

"Can you calm down?"

After a stalemate with Proctor for a while, Ethan spoke slowly.

Proctor took a few heavy breaths, waited until the coffee dripped from his eyelids, and then nodded slowly.

Only then did Ethan retract the spoon that had dug into Proctor's eyes, and then let go of his hand. The episode ended quickly without disturbing the people around him.

Proctor tossed the fork aside and loosened his tie. Ethan smiled, put down the spoon, and handed him a tissue.

"Thank you." Proctor wiped the coffee on his eyelids with a tissue, and said in a stiff tone:
"You are very courageous, dare to fight with me."

Ethan finished the coffee in the cup, "You are also quite courageous. If you dare to attack the police in public, believe it or not, I will kill you with one shot."

"Oh, you can try it."

"Okay, let's stop talking harshly to each other here, it's boring, what do you want?"

"You stay away from her in the future."

"It depends on what she means. It doesn't matter what I say."

"Hey, calm down." Seeing Proctor's eagerness to move again, Ethan said quickly:

"Why, do you want to raise her as a canary? Even if you want to protect her, it's not like this."

"She has been evicted by her family, and you want to expel her friends."

"Friend?" Proctor sneered.

"Anyway, you want her to have a normal life, don't you want her to try again after what you have suffered?"

After being silent for a while, Proctor slowly leaned back.
