Lord of the Mysteries: Yao Guang
Chapter 630 "Spokesperson"
Chapter 630 "Spokesperson"
The first thing that the members of the Tarot Club noticed was, of course, the empty first seat, because the host of this "meeting before the gods" was not here.
The next thing they noticed was, of course, someone who was not wearing a hoodie today, but whose facial features were exposed. His gold-rimmed glasses were faintly visible under the gray fog. This was an appearance that most people at the table were very familiar with - especially those who had seen this "God-favored One" in real life.
What was Gehrman Sparrow doing? Was he going to stop hiding his identity?
Questions were the subconscious reactions of several people, and even "Xingxing" did not speak quickly. He always felt that the atmosphere of this old colleague was a little different. Of course, Mr. "Xingxing" could not tell what was wrong, but the hesitation was clearly revealed.
However, "Judgment" felt a lot more at ease. After seeing the figure, she felt relieved. "Justice" was always paying attention to the changes of other people and did not miss this detail.
Could it be that Mr. World had encountered some danger? Justice cast a concerned look towards the end of the table, and happened to meet the gaze of the World, but Justice could not see anything more through the gray fog.
The World glanced at the restless Star again. The young Night Watcher misunderstood and thought it was a signal for something else. He immediately tensed up and stopped moving. Then the World glanced at everyone at the table slowly. The sharp scrutiny made the Magician and the Moon straighten their backs subconsciously.
Normally, no one would dare to speak at this time, but the "devil" was not a guy who liked to be suppressed. He preferred to play by the rules and even took the initiative to break the solemn silence on the long bronze table:
"'World', do you have anything to say?"
The World nodded, and spoke without any emotion. Just from the sound of his voice, he was even more lifeless than usual: “Mr. Fool is busy today, so I will... host this meeting in his place.”
He did not ask "Does anyone here have any opinions?" This would have been a matter of course.
Maybe it was because The Fool wasn’t here today, but the Devil was even more arrogant than usual, and continued to ask, “If I heard correctly, you even told us about this important matter directly on behalf of The Fool, right?”
The silence at the long table was so cold that it made people feel cold. Fortunately, it only lasted for a few seconds. The "world" completely ignored the provocative question from the "devil" and continued to nod: "Yes."
The "devil" stroked his chin and softened his tone a little: "Are you just exposing your identity like this?"
The World’s tone was still as cold, but he did not show any impatience: “If it were not me sitting here, the members present might not feel at ease.”
This is true - at least most of the Tarot Club members have seen Gehrman Sparrow in real life and have had actual contact with him. If it was a "God's Favored One" who was more unfamiliar to them, the others would only be more uneasy.
The Devil shrugged and leaned back in the high-backed chair: "Okay, I don't have anything else to ask, please feel free to do as you please."
However, Justice keenly noticed that Mr. Devil seemed to relax a little, and was obviously relieved.
Why is that? Is he upset because he provoked Mr. World? This doesn't fit with Mr. Devil standing up and talking about these issues...
However, the World did not give Justice much time to consider the crucial matter. Since no one else spoke, he simply pointed at the bronze table:
"If you have a diary you want to give to Mr. Fool, you can keep it until the next meeting."
"If you have a deal you want to make, you can start now."

"Did you... hear any sound?" Klein asked. He lowered the lantern in his hand and his gaze lost focus in the darkness of the God-Forsaken Land.
Esther beside him turned her head. Because she didn't notice anything unusual nearby, she quickly turned her attention to Amon on the other side: "Are you preparing something bad again?"
“Please, you can’t push everything onto me,” Amon showed helplessness on his face. “Let me make it clear first, if your child goes crazy because of the anomaly here, our game agreement will be invalid.”
“Tsk, you obviously don’t trust me either.” Esther muttered softly, and then observed Klein’s situation from the side. “Is it the influence of the environment here? Do you need to rest for a while?”
Klein waved his hand, and his frown quickly relaxed: "No, it was a very light voice, but the concentration was gone again."
Esther looked around again. A faint light swirled between her hair, but it finally pointed only at Klein. Seeking guidance from fate and getting such a result made it difficult for Esther to confirm its meaning. She just became more worried about Klein: "Are you really okay? If you feel uncomfortable, we can stop for a while."
Amon interrupted, "Don't act on your own. This is something I can decide. You are not the initiator of the game."
Esther's gentle voice immediately turned cold: "Aren't you doing this just to delay time?"
“Of course not!” Amon looked at Esther in surprise, the expression on his face hard to tell whether it was real or fake. “What effect would it have in delaying time like this? I have taken this game very seriously from the beginning because it can help me confirm many things.”
Esther didn't even hear Amon's lie, but the suspicion she had developed over a long period of time made her not dare to believe even a single word Amon said: "For example?"
“For example, today is Monday.”
Klein's expression froze. The thing he was worried about a few hours ago was now almost completely forgotten. Given his personality, such a thing should not have happened.
Esther glanced at Klein's face, who was pretending to be calm, and said nothing.
After Klein calmed down his chaotic thoughts, he looked at Amon again: "Tarot Club?"
Amon nodded solemnly: "I thought something would happen after your absence."
Seeing that Esther's expression had become unfriendly again, Amon quickly added, "I didn't do anything to them. It's just that the clone I left behind has replied. It seems that your 'gathering' this time is still going on as usual."
Esther’s uneasiness was even stronger than Klein’s. “But how is it possible…it’s clearly…”
Perhaps it was because she was so anxious that Klein quickly calmed down: “It’s okay.”
"Aren't you anxious?" Esther patted her forehead to suppress the equally turbulent buzzing sound.
"Since nothing has happened so far, we should be safe."
When Klein finished speaking, he subconsciously looked in Amon's direction and saw that the pair of black eyes that seemed to be smiling had narrowed again.
This is also what He wants to confirm... Amon wants to see if anything will happen to me?
