Chapter 50 Steve Rogers
"Another pitch, a goofy foul."

"Then it's a four-to-four tie with the Dodgers."

In a single ward with old-fashioned decoration style, the radio is broadcasting a fierce baseball game.

The patient on the hospital bed did not appear to have any injuries or weakness, his clothes were bulging with his chest muscles, and he looked strong and healthy. So he lay there like he was asleep.

He was also not wearing a hospital gown, but a white T-shirt, khaki trousers and brown boots.

A gust of wind blew in from the window, blowing the white screen, caressing his face... Suddenly he opened his eyes.

Time seemed to stand still for a few seconds. He slowly moved his body and struggled to sit on the edge of the bed.

He looked around blankly...

The lower part of the wall was painted light green, the upper part and the ceiling were painted white, and the three-leaf fan on the ceiling was slowly spinning.

There is a portable radio on the table, with carnations planted beside it, and radiators under the fluttering window screens.

The decoration of the room is very familiar to him. He once went to various states to perform in order to help congressmen sell national debt. After the performance, he would often be arranged to go to the local army hospital to visit the wounded...the wards of those hospitals are like this.

The voice broadcast of the baseball game continued on the radio:
"He bends over, pitches, swings, an arc."

"He got past Grimson ... the Dodgers scored!"

Suddenly the patient looked back at the old radio in disbelief.

"Rizzo scores, Reiser runs to third base..."

At this time, the door of the ward was pushed open, and a woman walked in.

The woman was wearing an off-white shirt, tie, and army green skirt.

This style of attire felt very familiar to the patient, who once loved dressing like this with a female friend...her name was Peggy Carter.

"Good morning, Captain Rogers!" The woman smiled, and she looked at her watch, "To be precise, it should be good afternoon."

"Where am I?"

Steve Rogers looked at the woman blankly.

"You're in a post-op recovery room in New York," the woman explained. "Although you're awake, the doctor said you still need to rest, so now you can lie down."

Steve watched the woman not speak, while the radio continued to broadcast.

"The Dodgers lead [-]-[-]. It's unbelievable. Since the start of the game, no one thought they could win. Please give applause to all the players and thank them for bringing a wonderful game..."

Steve glanced back at the radio, and after a moment he asked again, "Where the hell am I?"

"I don't quite understand what you mean, Captain Rogers." The woman smiled reluctantly, "You disappeared in the North Pole, and the military took a lot of effort to find you..."

"The game was in Los Angeles in May 1941," Steve interrupted the woman, "I know because I was there."

The expression on the woman's face changed slightly, and she suddenly remembered that baseball league broadcasts in that era were all broadcast in real time, serving countless fans who could not reach the scene.

But the staff who selected the broadcast made a work mistake. He found a baseball game that happened before Captain Rogers passed out. The most terrible thing is that Captain Rogers happened to watch the game live! This caused all the rest of the preparations that S.H.I.E.L.D. had done to go to waste...

"I'll ask you again, where the hell am I?" Steve stood up and slowly approached the woman.

The woman pressed the pager in her hand calmly, "Captain Rogers, please remain calm... I can answer all your questions."

The door of the ward was pushed open again, and several armed explosion-proof personnel entered the ward holding guns... The woman suddenly felt a little bad, she saw the anger on Steve's face, these explosion-proof personnel made the situation change It got worse!

"Captain Rogers..." Just as the woman was about to explain, Steve had already started.

His combat experience is extremely rich, and he has already made the most correct judgment when facing several armed enemies...

During World War II, Steve led people to raid the secret base of Hydra many times, and this armed force could not stop him at all.

An explosion-proof personnel was kicked against the wall, and a big hole was knocked into the makeshift wall in an instant.

Steve rushed out of the hole without hesitation, and ran out along the passage.

The woman came to the mouth of the cave and shouted, "Captain Rogers, wait!"

But Steve, who was a little excited, didn't respond. She looked at Steve's back and took out the walkie-talkie.

"Attention all agents, emergency alert!"

Steve, who came all the way to the hall, also heard the broadcast, "Attention all agents, emergency siren!"

The hall was full of staff members in black suits, and the outlines of gun stocks could be seen around their waists. Steve rushed towards the gate without hesitation!

Several black-clad agents blocked his way, and Steve knocked them off with ease, and he broke through the door.

Steve didn't feel something was wrong until he rushed to the road. The vehicles on the road looked strange, and people's clothes were more fashionable.

And the LED screens and billboards all over the tall buildings are also very novel to him... This busy street is too busy. The busiest streets in New York he had visited before the war paled in comparison.

Everything was weird, if it wasn't for the woman talking to him in English, he would have thought he had come to an alien planet!

With a dazed face, Steve didn't have time to think too much. He ran in the middle of the road, but his speed gradually slowed down amidst the din of people.

Steve was circling in circles, looking at the unfamiliar city on the busy street, he suddenly lost his direction, and amidst the honking of the car, he was so confused that he didn't know where to go...

Several black cars came from all directions and surrounded him, and staff in police uniforms stepped out of the cars. They surrounded Steve in the middle and dispersed the onlookers.

"Take it easy, soldier!"

Just as Steve was thinking about which direction to break out, he heard this voice.

He turned around and saw a one-eyed black man in a black trench coat, who seemed to be the leader of the group.

"Introduce yourself, my name is Nick Fury. I'm sorry for the performance just now, but..." Nick said with his hands down, "We think it's best for you to take it all slowly."

"Accept what?" Steve turned to face him.

"You've been sleeping, Captain." Nick tries to convince Steve, "It's hard to believe, but you've been asleep for about 70 years."

Steve looked around in shock, and Nick even saw bewilderment in the eyes of this mighty warrior...

"Are you OK?"

"It's okay," Steve shook his head, "I'm okay, it's just... I have an appointment."

How should we call the US team in the future?I always find Steve weird, reminds me of Minecraft, Rogers?Or direct US team?
