Chapter 1063 1045 Holy White Conference

Chapter 1063 1045. Holy White Conference
Lady Galadriel, before coming to this world, Lan was entrusted by the Lady of the Lake with the task of "greeting this old friend".

However, it had been more than a month, almost two months, in this vast, dangerous and strange world before Lan En officially met the person he was looking for.

But to be honest, Lan En felt that just seeing the Elf Queen in front of him made all the troubles and dangers he had experienced before worth it.

The Lady Galadriel before him seemed to be naturally divine and noble, and was no less magnificent than the sun and the moon in the sky.

"I heard that you have been looking for me, Adanisir."

Galadriel walked slowly from under the stone archway leading to the cliff, speaking with a smile on his face.

As if he had deliberately suppressed his own extraordinary qualities, when Galadriel spoke, his voice was no longer as ethereal and distant as when he first met him just now. It was just simply pleasant to the ear.

Her beautiful long hair, which was so eye-catching, no longer emitted the breathtaking golden and silver gleam.

She walked in front of Lan, looked up at the young witcher's face in the moonlight, and her expression showed the joy and appreciation of seeing beautiful things.

"Ah, you really do deserve this title."

Lan En felt a little nervous, which was unusual for him. He took a small deep breath.

"I am sent to bring you greetings, Lady Galadriel. It is an old friend of yours."

As he spoke, the young demon hunter pulled out the Arondate with its sheath from his left waist and held it in front of him.

"Please look."

The Elf Queen was stunned. This was the first time she showed an unexpected expression since she appeared in front of Lan En.

This slightly reduced her natural sacred temperament in Lan En's eyes, but made her more approachable.

She raised her fingers slightly, but did not pull out the Sword of the Lady of the Lake. Instead, she just lightly touched the hilt with her fingertips. A smile of sudden realization and beautiful memories appeared on her face.

"That's it, I know."

She withdrew her hand and looked up at the young witcher.

"We are indeed old friends. We can talk later."

Lan could see that Galadriel was pleased to hear the news about the Lady of the Lake, but the meeting was about serious business, so private reminiscences could be postponed.

The Elf Queen is a person who has a broad perspective.

"Long time no see, Mithrandir."

Turning around, Galadriel spoke to Gandalf a string of words as beautiful as a poem.

This is the Elvish language. During the two weeks in Rivendell, Lan had mastered this ancient and elegant language through the recording ability of Mentos and his own learning ability.

So he could understand.

"It is a great honor, ma'am."

Gandalf bowed modestly and sincerely, and smiled like old friends meeting each other.

"It's a pity that I don't have time, otherwise I would certainly go to Lothlorien Forest to catch up with you."

Gandalf looked back at Elrond again: "I didn't expect that Lord Elrond would invite you here as well."

But the voice coming from the other end of the open-air mountaintop platform made Gandalf's relaxed expression, which was originally as if he was in spring breeze after seeing his old friend, suddenly become gloomy and tense.

"He didn't."

It was a steady, calm old man's voice. An old man with a hooked nose, wearing a white robe, with long pale hair on his head and holding an iron staff, walked up from there.

"It's my treat."

Lan, who was standing next to him, noticed keenly that Gandalf, the always natural and easy-going old fellow, was slowly turning his body from Elrond to the old man.

And during this process, a strange expression appeared on his face.
If I have to say it, it's like meeting a boss you don't get along with, but still having to bite the bullet and force a smile to say hello.

"Saruman!"

Lan didn't know what the nature of the so-called "wizards" in this world was, but he felt that Gandalf must not be very good at acting.

The suppressed joy in this greeting was simply too awkward.

But obviously, Saruman on the opposite side seemed to be used to it and was too lazy to argue with Gandalf.

So he nodded as a polite response.

"You seem to be very busy lately, my friend."

The hook-nosed old man's eyes turned and looked at Lan En.

"And this Radagast's agent?"

"How come I've never heard of such a person in Middle-earth? He's young and promising."

In Lan's eyes, Saruman's body was filled with the same holy white light as Gandalf and Radagast.

Even in terms of power, it is more powerful than the two of them combined.

But the feeling is not too relaxing.

Gandalf gave Lan an impression of being very peaceful and approachable.

Radagast is close to nature and free.

Their powers are actually of the same nature, but they feel different to Lan En.

Although Saruman in front of him possessed the same divine power as the other two wizards, he had a sense of overbearing and domineering attitude by relying on his authority and power.

My power is holy and powerful, so what I say is right. This feeling from Saruman made Lan feel constrained and uncomfortable.

"It looks like you're going to discuss something important during this meeting?"

Lan suddenly spoke.

“Do I fit in here?”

He had just heard the meaning behind Saruman's words.

He said he had never heard of Lan En.

He was full of vigor when he appeared on the stage, looking like an important person. By saying this, he was actually saying, as the leader of the meeting, that Lan En was not suitable to participate in the affairs here.

"Of course it's appropriate! Of course it's appropriate!"

Gandalf quickly interrupted from the side.

"Ah, Saruman! My old friend!"

“But we are all old friends of Radagast. We know him, don’t we? How long has he been running around mad in Mirkwood? Hundreds of years, surely?”

"He made friends you didn't know. What's wrong with that? It's normal, right? After all, we haven't been to Mirkwood many times."

"But I saw with my own eyes that the two of them once covered my back and cooperated seamlessly against the orcs' wolf riders!"

"In the end, Radagast, as always, was too lazy to do anything, so he just left it all to Lann and rode away on his rabbit sled. Elrond saw this himself."

The Elf Lord, who had been standing at the back, nodded to testify to Gandalf's words.

Saruman looked at the two people who attended the meeting and agreed that Lann should participate. He was silent for a while and then turned to look at Galadriel.

"Dear Madam, what do you think? Let's add someone to our meeting temporarily?"

Galadriel's voice was neither anxious nor impatient.

She did not respond to the rejection implied in Saruman's words.

"That is a good thing, Saruman."

"I testify that he was a good and wonderful being."

This is equivalent to a unanimous vote.

Saruman's face remained calm, as if he didn't care about being contradicted.

"That's it, let's start the meeting."
-
After the group of people finished negotiating, Saruman and Gandalf sat opposite each other at the only stone table on the platform, obviously looking like they were being questioned.

The other three stood by and had no fixed seats.

The dwarves dismantled the elven furniture and had a barbecue party, which lasted until late at night.

When the small meeting was held, it was already dawn. Now that I was seated, the warm and gentle sunlight of dawn and the moonlight that had not yet completely faded mixed together and shone down.

However, everyone present is not an ordinary person, and a whole night of sleeplessness will not affect anything at all.

This meeting was caused by the dwarves' expedition to restore their country, so as the person who led the entire team, it was natural for Gandalf to be questioned.

"Tell me about it, Gandalf."

As the questioner, Saruman sat calmly and spoke calmly.

"Do you really think that no one knows about your plans and actions? No one sees through them?"

Gandalf rested his elbows on the stone table, choosing his words carefully.

"I'm not so self-righteous as to think that no one can see through my plan, at least the orcs have already bitten my team. But I must also emphasize: everything I do is necessary."

"Is that really necessary, Gandalf?"

Galadriel said softly as he stood on the edge of the platform, watching the dawn blend with the moonlight.

"I know that you are still worried about the evil dragon in Lonely Mountain. Does this cloud your judgment?"

Gandalf nodded unequivocally.

"Bitter, yes. Smaug is the common enemy of all good and beautiful lives. He is a descendant of the evil race created by the ancient shadow."

"The dragons are known through the ages. Glaurung, the flightless but evil-minded dragon who was Morgoth's first experiment. And then there was Ancalagon, the pinnacle of evil creativity, the dragon whose wings could cover the mountains."

"Of course, the ancient demon was banished into the void by the Western powers after the war of the First Age, but his creations left endless poison, such as Smaug."

"Although it will not truly obey anyone except the creator of its species, we still have to be careful of it joining forces with our enemies as a collaborator."

"The harm that could be caused would be incalculable!"

Lan and Elrond were both listening quietly. They stood very close to each other, Lan leaning against the elves' exquisite marble pillars with his arms folded across his chest.

Only fragments of these stories from long ago remain even in the records of the elves.

Everyone present, except Lan En, seemed to have witnessed it and showed an unusual familiarity.

Among them, Elrond, who was closest to Lan, had a flash of memory in his eyes when he mentioned Ancalagon, the outrageous dragon whose wings could cover the mountains.

And subconsciously looked up at the sky.

Elrond and Galadriel, the two elves, paced back and forth in deep thought during this questioning.

Lan En stood in a position where he could see the whole scene and watched the questioning proceed.
