Chapter 232
After entering the mountain gate, Xuanzang saw the four big characters "Guanyin Temple" written in the main hall, and said with great joy: "I have received the blessings of the Bodhisattva along the way. Today, when I meet the Temple, I must worship carefully."

When the monk heard the words, he ordered to go down and prepare everything.

After Xuanzang paid his respects, while he was chatting with the monks, suddenly an old monk came over led by the boy. When the monk saw the old monk, he hurriedly stepped forward to help him, and said, "Why did the master come here in person?" ?”

The old monk said: "Just now, I heard what the boy said. An eminent monk from the Eastern Tang Dynasty came to the front yard of the road. I came to pay my respects."

When Xuanzang heard the words, he put his palms together and said: "The old master is very polite. The poor monk came from the Tang Dynasty in the east. He went to the west to worship Buddha and ask for sutras, but he can't be called an eminent monk."

The old monk said: "To the west? The journey is very long. It is said that there are many demons along the way. If a mage is not accompanied by a powerful magic weapon, it will be difficult for him to walk an inch."

Xuanzang said with a smile: "What the old master said is that although the poor monk has no treasures, he is accompanied by powerful disciples and protected by Bodhisattvas. There is nothing to fear from demons on the road."

The old monk looked at Sun Wukong, but he was not afraid, he just laughed. Xuanzang asked: "The old master will have a happy birthday this year?"

The old monk replied: "The idiot is 270 years old."

Sun Wukong almost sneered when he heard the words, glanced at Su Can, and said via voice transmission: "The old monk is so shameless, how can any mortal in the world live to be 270 years old?"

Su Can replied via voice transmission: "Be careful, this monk is very weird, don't let the boat capsize in the gutter."

"Oh?"

After what Su Can said, Sun Wukong immediately became interested, and became vigilant in his heart. He looked at the old monk with his eyes and kept spinning.

While talking, a young monk came to serve tea, and the old monk pointed to the tea set and said, "This is my favorite collection for more than 200 years. What does the master think?"

Xuanzang devotes all his heart to the Buddha, and he really doesn't care about such things outside his body. Furthermore, because he was born in a family of officials, his grandfather is the Duke of the current dynasty, and he even swore to the Tang Emperor Li Shimin. He has seen many treasures since he was a child. The tea set in front of me is really indifferent.

But since the old monk asked, he replied casually: "Okay, okay."

Xuanzang's indifferent expression was noticed by the old monk, and he asked, "The mage came from the upper kingdom in the east, and there must be more rare treasures. I wonder if I can give you a glimpse?"

Xuanzang said with a smile: "The old master was joking. How can a poor monk bring any treasures with him all the way west? No treasures, no treasures."

At the same time, I felt something was wrong and thought to myself: "The old master is showing off the tea set, and asked me if I have any treasures. This kind of greedy for things outside of my body is not like a virtuous monk. Could it be that the poor monk accidentally strayed into the magic cave?" '

Thinking of this, Xuanzang couldn't help becoming nervous.

This old monk has lived for more than 200 years. He has rich experience and sharp eyes. Xuanzang only got nervous when he noticed it. From this, he was more sure that Xuanzang must have a treasure, and said: "Why is the master so stingy? Even if there is a treasure, I just watched it and feasted my eyes, so can I still snatch it?"

Xuanzang still shook his head again and again, only saying that he had nothing on his body, Sun Wukong rolled his eyes and said, "Master, why is there no treasure? My grandson Qianfan saw a cassock in his luggage, but it is really a treasure! "

The old monk’s eyes lit up when Sun Wukong spoke. Hearing him say it was a cassock, he couldn’t help being discouraged, and said with a smile, “Young monk is talking nonsense, I’m waiting for a monk, who doesn’t have a few cassocks? What kind of treasure can you say?”

Xuanzang nodded in agreement, and at the same time signaled Monkey King not to say anything more.

Sun Wukong had a different idea. He first heard Su Can say that the old monk was very weird, and then he heard the old monk mention "robbing by force", so he wanted to see what was so weird about this group of monks, and how dare they rob him and make him equal to the sky. The Great Sage's stuff, so I took the initiative to mention the Jinlan cassock.

Seeing that the old monk didn't care about the cassock, Monkey King chuckled, went out and fetched the cassock, displayed it in front of everyone, and said, "Look at it! Look at it! Is it a treasure?"

As soon as the cassock was unfolded, it immediately shone with precious light, and the candlelight in the hall was dimly reflected. The old monk nearly shot both eyeballs away, and shouted: "What a treasure! It is really a treasure!"

Xuanzang never thought that Sun Wukong would be so reckless, he took the cassock and displayed it in front of everyone while speaking, he was anxious and angry at the moment, but fortunately the old monk was focused on the cassock, but he didn't notice Xuanzang's expression.

Holding the cassock, the old monk stroked and scrutinized it again, and finally heaved a long sigh: "If you can see this treasure in this life, you will have no regrets in death!"

Xuanzang forced a smile beside him and said, "The old master's words are serious."

The old monk said: "Master, this cassock is very good, but it's a pity that it's dark and I can't see clearly, but what should I do?"

Xuanzang felt that something was wrong, and said, "Please come and watch with a lamp."

The old monk shook his head and said, "The light reflected on the cassock may spoil the original divine light of the cassock."

Sun Wukong laughed and said, "Old master, what do you think it should be?"

The old monk loved Sun Wukong very much in his heart, and he said along the way: "If the master is at ease, please take this cassock to me to watch in the meditation room for one night, and I will definitely return it the next morning."

Xuanzang heard the words, and was about to try to decline, but Sun Wukong agreed, saying: "Old master, please go! Old master, please!"

The old monk thanked him repeatedly, picked up his cassock and left, and ordered the monks to arrange housing for Xuanzang and his party.

After all the arrangements were made, the monks all retreated, Xuanzang finally couldn't bear it any longer, and said sharply, "Wukong! You monkey, what are you showing off?"

Sun Wukong laughed and said: "Master, don't be upset, Master, don't be upset."

Xuanzang sighed and said: "You don't know, the old master is only greedy for treasures, and he is not a virtuous monk who is devoted to Buddha, now let him know the existence of Jinlan cassock, maybe something will happen Woolen cloth."

Sun Wukong laughed and said: "That's good. If the old monk returns the cassock honestly in the morning, it's fine. As long as he dares to do something weird, the old sun will let him see my precious iron rod!"

"Ugh!"

Xuanzang sighed again, and reprimanded: "You monkey, you don't change your hostility, you always want to make some troubles, just remember, no matter what, you must not kill half of the monks in this temple, otherwise I will kill you." I must report you to Guanyin Bodhisattva and ask him to punish you!"

Hearing this, Sun Wukong could only apologize with a smile, but he didn't dare to say anything, but he thought in his heart: "If the monk in the monastery is honest, it's fine, otherwise, why would my old grandson not fight back when he suffers a disadvantage?" '

Su Can watched the conversation between the master and the disciples, and after waiting for their words, Su Can said: "Xuanzang, brother monkey, in my opinion, you should go to the white horse to get the luggage, if the monks in the monastery are really greedy I'm afraid I'll have to search through your bags."

"At that time, the tin staff with nine rings and the purple gold bowl will all be lost. Especially these two treasures that we haven't disclosed to others, and they haven't borrowed them in person, so they can completely deny it and refuse to admit it."
