Chapter 674 Night Tour [Monthly Ticket Plus]

After asking around, Jia Zhibo roughly knew that his son Jia Hui was surrounded by a group of friends whom he was not sure whether they could be called "little friends".

The reason why I am a little hesitant about this title is mainly because among those who hang out with Jia Hui on a daily basis, some are attracted by his bully-like nature of stirring up trouble and bullying others, and enjoy the pleasure of following him and making trouble without having to take any responsibility, while some are actually more like the objects bullied by Jia Hui. Due to the fighting power of Jia Hui and his followers, they dare not speak out and have to hang out with them. They are bullied all the time and in all places on a daily basis, but they would never dare to draw a clear line with this group of people.

Many of the people in this small circle lived very close to Jia Hui. They were all old residents of that old residential area and had grown up together.

In other words, among these people, whether they were in cahoots with each other or those who endured humiliation, they had all been with Jia Hui for many years and had a deep understanding of each other. Moreover, because they lived relatively close to each other, it was difficult for them to keep a distance and draw clear boundaries.

Such a group has both advantages and disadvantages for investigation work.

The good thing is that this group of people understand each other, and they probably know each other's little secrets very well.

The bad thing is that such a group of people often have their own internal "rules", shielding and concealing each other, which may create certain resistance to understanding the truth of the matter.

Jia Zhibo also mentioned that he asked around and found out that there seemed to be several people who usually played well with Jia Hui and had not returned home either.

This news frightened Ning Shuyi, Huo Yan and others. They were afraid that there might be other victims somewhere else, so they acted quickly and went to look for Jia Hui's friends separately. After two days of running around, they finally had a clearer grasp of the situation.

Before Jia Hui disappeared, he was indeed with his circle of friends, but from beginning to end, the only person who was missing was Jia Hui himself. The others just hid away for their own purposes after they disbanded.

Before Jia Hui died, there were six people with him, namely Tong Xiangfeng, Wei Zhangjie, Miao Yuanxin, Lian Yuguang, Sun Qun and Li Zongliang.

These six people and Jia Hui grew up together. Although they are all in their early twenties, they have been friends for more than ten years.

Some of these six people were at home, while others were hiding somewhere else. When they were taken to the police station, they all seemed a little confused.

Among these six people, Tong Xiangfeng and Wei Zhangjie were both found in their own homes. Like Jia Hui, they were both idle people in society without a fixed job.

Miao Yuanxin, Lian Yuguang and Sun Qun were all working normally in their own units. The remaining one, Li Zongliang, was even more serious. He owed a lot of debts outside. After going out for a party with his friends, he hurriedly ran away to hide from his debts. When he was found by the police, he thought he was found by his creditors and was very scared.

Now six people were sitting in the same conference room. Miao Yuanxin, Lian Yuguang and Sun Qun seemed a little restrained and timid. After realizing that the criminal police could not control the debt relationship between him and his creditors, Li Zongliang completely relaxed. He lay on the sofa and felt drowsy. When he was called up, he said with a grin that he had not been able to eat or sleep well during the days of hiding from his debts. He felt relieved when he was unexpectedly shown to the Public Security Bureau.

Tong Xiangfeng and Wei Zhangjie seemed much more cunning. They did not show any obvious emotions, but their eyes moved around, looking here and there, observing the situation and trying to figure out what was going on.

Ning Shuyi, Huo Yan and others had considered in advance the problem of collusion among too many people, so they never mentioned Jia Hui's death from beginning to end. This was also the reason why these people were confused.

"You are all Jia Hui's friends, right?" Ning Shuyi asked the six people present.

Li Zongliang was the first to nod. Miao Yuanxin and Sun Qun first subconsciously wanted to shake their heads to deny it, but when they saw Li Zongliang nodded, and Tong Xiangfeng and Wei Zhangjie looking at them, they quickly nodded.

Lian Yuguang saw that everyone else nodded, so he quickly nodded as well. "When was the last time you saw Jia Hui?" Ning Shuyi asked.

The other people didn't say anything, and all looked at Tong Xiangfeng and Wei Zhangjie.

Tong Xiangfeng grinned: "The last time we saw him was the night before yesterday. A few of us planned a night out for some entertainment, and we were all there at the time."

After he finished speaking, everyone else nodded and echoed him.

But apart from agreeing, they didn't come up with any new words.

"What was your night tour like? When did it end? What did you do after it ended?"

"The night tour was just a bunch of nonsense! We went to an abandoned rough-hewn house in the suburbs to play 'inviting gods' or something like that. We started at around 8 or 9 in the evening and ended at around 10." Tong Xiangfeng said as he glanced at Wei Zhangjie, "After that, didn't we have barbecue and drink together for half the night?"

"Yes, yes, let's go out for barbecue together!" Wei Zhangjie immediately replied, paused, and added, "I ordered takeout and ate it at my house!"

"Can I take a look at the takeaway order?" Ning Shuyi pointed at the phone in his hand.

Wei Zhangjie was stunned for a moment, nodded, took out his phone, opened the food delivery app, and pulled up a barbecue order: "Look, the time was around eleven o'clock the night before yesterday, almost twelve o'clock!"

"This barbecue...how many of you are eating it?" Huo Yan took the phone from him, glanced at the order on it, then raised his eyes and glanced at Wei Zhangjie.

"It's for three of us to eat: me, Tong Xiangfeng, and Jia Hui." Wei Zhangjie hesitated a little, but answered quickly.

"You three," Huo Yan looked at Wei Zhangjie and then at Tong Xiangfeng, "ate 10 skewers in total?"

Tong Xiangfeng glanced at Wei Zhangjie, who was quite calm: "Ah, yes! The three of us have already had dinner, and we just came here to have a drink and chat. Ten skewers of meat, and we almost drank twenty bottles of beer! Hahahahaha, sorry for making fun of us!"

Ning Shuyi and Huo Yan looked at each other, and they both reached a tacit conclusion.

It was close to midnight, almost the time of Jia Hui's death. The autopsy results showed that there was very little content in Jia Hui's stomach and no residual alcohol in his blood.

Tong Xiangfeng and Wei Zhangjie were obviously making up stories.

Neither of them knew that Jia Hui was dead.

The three of them must have other unknown secrets.
