Chapter 715 The Perfect Crime

Chapter 715 The Perfect Crime
The [Detective Chinatown] series is, after all, a detective film, which revolves around the two protagonists, Qin Feng and Tang Ren, and tells the story of how they solve murders in Chinatowns in different countries.

The first part got off to a good start and can be said to be a perfect combination of brain-burning and funny.

The main plot is the gold theft case, and the branch plot is Songpa's murder case. After layers of cracking, Qin Feng and Tang Ren finally caught the murderer "Li", restored the whole case, and cleared their own grievances.

"Sinuo" is a very important character in this film. After she discovered her adoptive father's twisted love for her, she used various means to complete the perfect crime.

It can be said that she was the mastermind behind Songpa's murder. The last conversation between Qin Feng and Sinuo made the whole movie more brain-burning and profound.

Although Qin Feng knew the truth, without evidence, "Sinuo" committed a perfect crime.

Moreover, her crime is not disgusting from the audience's perspective. First, she is a child, and second, her adoptive father is a perverted man who loves his daughter. Her behavior can be said to be for self-protection.

The whole movie is very well done, so it has become the highest-rated and most acclaimed one in the "Detective Chinatown" series.

The second part is similar to the first part in terms of the overall story framework.

It also has the same main line and branch line structure.

The main plot is the Kitchen God Temple murder case and the subsequent Five Elements serial murder case. The doctor, who had cancer, tried to become an immortal and committed murder.

The side story is the hitchhiking murder that "Song Yi" carried out while following the two protagonists to solve the case - the murder of Lu Guofu.

Similar to the first film "Sinuo", "Song Yi" also committed a perfect crime, and it is almost impossible to find any evidence of his crime.

The reason he killed people was because Lu Guofu was a gangster boss who trafficked in people. His sister was sold to South America by Lu Guofu, so it was also a just revenge.

The second part is not as rigorous and convincing as the first part in terms of the detective story, so its reputation is slightly worse.

But overall it is also a very good detective movie, and because it is the second part of a popular movie, its box office is much higher.

In general, there are two reasons for the success of the "Detective Chinatown" series of films.

The first is the logically rigorous detective plot. For example, in the first part, Li hid under the bed for several days to avoid the camera, and then left the crime scene with the help of Tang Ren to deliver the goods. Songpa hid the stolen gold in the Buddha statue, and finally it was revealed that "Sinuo" manipulated his adoptive father to kill people through various means.

The case is full of twists and turns, and the reasoning is well-founded, which makes the audience very enjoyable to watch.

The second is the various comedic effects produced during the investigation, most of which are the responsibility of Wang Baoqiang who plays Tang Ren. Of course, there are also some outstanding supporting roles, such as Bei Ge's gang, the police played by Xiao Yang and Chen He, and so on.

The perfect combination of these two points is the real reason why the "Detective Chinatown" series is so popular with the audience.

The original director Chen Sicheng should also be aware of this, so he worked hard on these two aspects every time he filmed.

However, with the success of the first and second parts, Director Chen's ideas may have deviated to a certain extent.

Looking at the "Detective Chinatown" trilogy, careful viewers may find that from the first to the third part, the weight of the crime-solving part of the movie is decreasing, while the weight of the comedy part is becoming heavier.

The logic and plot of the entire detective story in the first part were the most meticulous and reasonable. The second part was a bit far-fetched but still self-consistent. By the third part, there were many loopholes and flaws.

However, on the contrary, there are more and more funny parts in the movie, but many scenes are funny just for the sake of being funny, which is very common in some cheesy comedies.

Director Chen may feel that "Detective Chinatown" is always released during the Spring Festival, and everyone likes to watch some family comedies. As for the detective plot, it is fine if it is too rigorous and brain-burning, which will affect the viewing experience of ordinary audiences.

What he thought was not unreasonable, but it was not correct based on the results.

The original time and space "Detective Chinatown 3" was released with great anticipation. Although the box office was still a bumper harvest, it suffered a Waterloo in terms of word of mouth.

Facts have proven that audiences do like to watch comedies, but the comedic effects are produced through character settings and conflicts when the story logic is normal, rather than being forced into playing with memes.

For example, the appearance of the so-called “Five Spirited Children of Peace Elite” in the second half of [Detective Chinatown 3] was simply embarrassing.

Director Chen's original intention was to link the "Detective Chinatown Movie" and the "Detective Chinatown Web Series" together, and to also provide a product placement for the game "Peace Elite".

However, he did not expect that the audience of the online drama version of Detective Chinatown was not very large, which was far from the movie. More than 90% of the moviegoers had no idea where these so-called five spiritual children came from.

This scene can be said to be extremely embarrassing, and it lowers the quality of the entire movie by several levels.

In terms of the plot, in the final court session, it was revealed that Anna Kobayashi was actually the biological daughter of Masaru Watanabe.

In order to take revenge on her father who had abandoned her and her mother, she murdered Suchawi and framed the crime on Watanabe Katsu.

The plot of [Detective Chinatown 3] can only barely make sense, with many loopholes in many aspects. It is not as good as the second part, and is far from the first part.

Moreover, the plot lacks the perfect crimes of the first two parts, and there are no characters of highly intelligent criminals such as "Sinuo" in the first part and "Song Yi" in the second part.

If it were an ordinary commercial film, "Detective Chinatown 3" would undoubtedly be qualified.

But with the first two films as excellent as before, audiences across the country who like "Detective Chinatown" have been looking forward to it for so many years. The final quality of "Detective Chinatown 3" is obviously not satisfactory.

This is also the reason why the reputation dropped sharply after the third film was released.

Just like this year's "Crazy Alien", the audience had too high expectations and wanted to eat a full banquet, but in the end they were served fried rice, so it was normal to curse the chef.

Now that we know the reasons for the failure of the original version of [Detective Chinatown 3], Gu Wei's version will naturally avoid this situation.

When he was writing the script, he provided some ideas to the screenwriters in the company and emphasized that the first thing was to ensure the completeness of the detective plot and the rigorous logic, and only then could he add gags and jokes.

The main and the secondary must be distinguished. The first half of Gu Wei's version of "Detective Chinatown 3" is not much different from the original.

Southeast Asian gangs and the Japanese mafia organization Black Dragon Society are constantly fighting for the right to develop Tokyo's New Chinatown.

As the Japanese gangs were securing victory, Su Chawei, president of the Southeast Asian Chamber of Commerce, invited the Black Dragon Society leader Watanabe Masaru to negotiate.

The negotiation took place in a Japanese-style tea house surrounded by water, with only the leaders of both sides in the room.

Unexpectedly, not long after the negotiations began, screams were heard from the room.

When everyone rushed in, they found that Suchawi was killed by the broken screen glass, and Watanabe Katsu lying beside him had blood on his hands.

After Suchawi's death, Watanabe Masaru was undoubtedly the murderer, and all the evidence pointed to him.

In order to prove his innocence, Watanabe found Qin Feng and Tang Ren through detective Noda Hao, trying to uncover the truth of the locked room murder case.

The final murderer in the original version was Su Chawei's secretary Kobayashi Anna.

Originally, the closed room murder case was a setup by Suchavi.

He first drugged Watanabe Katsu and knocked him out, then broke a folding screen and stabbed himself with one of the pieces. He then put the glass fragments into Watanabe Katsu's hands and took out a blood bag he had prepared in advance to create the illusion that he was stabbed by Watanabe Katsu.

When everyone entered the secret room, Su Chawei was not dead but just injured. He was killed by his secretary Anna Kobayashi who was guarding him on the way to the hospital.

Su Chawei wanted to frame Watanabe Katsu and use his own injury to achieve business goals, while Kobayashi Anna took the opportunity to kill and give his dead body to Watanabe Katsu.

On the one hand, she got rid of Suchavi who was not kind to her, and on the other hand, she took revenge on her father who abandoned her.

In the end, after Watanabe Masaru knew that Anna Kobayashi was his daughter, he voluntarily pleaded guilty in court, staging a bloody drama.

Gu Wei's version completely rewrites the murder part.

Anna Kobayashi has nothing to do with Watanabe Masaru, she is simply Su Chawei's secretary.

At the beginning of the movie, a new character is added, the vice president of the Southeast Asian Chamber of Commerce, a gloomy middle-aged man named Ruan Wengang.

In the setting, when Qin Feng and Tang Ren came to investigate the closed room murder case, Ruan Wengang obstructed them in many ways. He determined that Watanabe Masaru was the murderer of President Su Chawei and there was no need to investigate further.

In fact, this Ruan Wengang was the real murderer who killed Su Chawei.

He replaced Anna Kobayashi's role and rushed into the crime scene as soon as Su Chawei was injured. He then helped Su Chawei into the car and stabbed Su Chawei again in the same way on the road, ending his life.

Nguyen Van Gang did this first to kill Su Chawi and take over himself, and second to put the blame on Watanabe Masaru to obtain the land development rights for Chinatown, killing two birds with one stone.

In the end, his actions were discovered by Qin Feng and Tang Ren, who found various evidences and brought him to justice.

Of course, the story doesn't end here.

The real mastermind behind the entire Tokyo locked room murder case is actually Anna Kobayashi.

As Su Chawei's absolute confidant, she was well aware of his plan to frame Watanabe Masaru. In fact, this plan was originally proposed by her and adopted by Su Chawei.

Nguyen Van Gang, the second-in-command of the Southeast Asian Chamber of Commerce and the Vietnamese Gang, has always been suppressed by Su Chawei and has long been dissatisfied with him.

Through various means, Anna Kobayashi inadvertently leaked Su Chawei's plan to Ruan Wengang, and used some revealing words to make him have some bad ideas.

This part is similar to the first part where "Sinuo" induces his adoptive father Li to kill someone.

Because of this good opportunity, Ruan Wengang was quickly attracted.

After Su Chawei was injured in the incident, Kobayashi Anna made prior arrangements to have Ruan Wengang sit in the back of the car with Su Chawei, and even prepared the murder weapon for him.

Faced with the huge temptation, Ruan Wengang failed to control himself and killed Su Chawei with another knife.

After Qin Feng and Tang Ren arrived in Tokyo, Kobayashi Anna gave them some clues from the side, which allowed the two to quickly determine that the murderer was Ruan Wengang.

Finally, the murderer was brought to justice, but Qin Feng noticed many problems in the case. Finally, he sorted out the facts of the case and restored the whole story.

He found Anna Kobayashi and confronted her.

Kobayashi Anna just smiled and told him that neither Watanabe Masaru, Su Chawei nor Ruan Wengang were good people.

A gang is a gang after all. Even if they have open business, they still do many shameful things behind the scenes, causing countless families to be broken up.

She originally had a happy family, but her father was a gambler and lost all his money in the gang's casino. He also borrowed high-interest loans from the gang and ended up having his legs broken. Her mother divorced her father and disappeared. The originally beautiful family was shattered, and she grew up with difficulty with the help of her relatives.

That gang was the gang that Suchavi belonged to.

The gang leaders who came to her house to collect debts were Su Chawei and Ruan Wengang.

At this point, Qin Feng already knew the reason why Kobayashi Anna did all this, but just like what he did to "Sinuo" in the first part, Qin Feng had no evidence, and Kobayashi Anna completed a perfect crime.
