Chapter 810 The Real Political Center

Chapter 810 The Real Political Center

It was 5:30 in the morning, inside an ordinary little building in Georgetown, Washington, DC.

"Have you caught the people involved?"

"Can you interrogate me at any time?"

At the square dark brown wooden table, Ms. Ingeborg looked at Roan in disbelief, while Mr. Trick Kennedy and Mr. Clement beside her also had expressions of surprise on their faces.

Mr. Maximilian, who was leaning on a cane and had a wrinkled face, was also stunned by Roan's words and asked with a smile:
"Do you know who the other party is?"

“I don’t know yet.”

Luo An shook his head honestly and added:
"But there are other people secretly involved in this case. I did discover some of it during the investigation."

When Luo An first took over the case, he did not notice anything unusual. At first, they were indeed just two ordinary murders. What attracted attention was that the murderers in the two cases were likely related.

During the investigation of the case, the appearance of the same inverted cross and wooden necklace made Luo An realize that there might be a big problem behind this case.

What really made Luo An feel that there was something unusual behind the case was when he received the text message and went to the coffee shop.

As he walked into the coffee shop, Luo An immediately sensed, through the "emotional perception" in his mind, a chilling and undisguised vicious emotion that wanted to kill him.

The man was Harris, who was wearing a leather jacket and standing in the front.

Later, when he met Sister Ellie in the small room, Roan thought that Harris's emotions came from her orders.

But later, when Sister Ellie put forward conditions and Luo An pretended to be submissive and temporarily agreed, Harris's evil thoughts did not diminish at all, but became even stronger.

During the negotiation between the two, Harris became more impatient. Later, when Roan fought back, Harris became much more excited, giving people the feeling that he finally didn't have to wait any longer and could start to kill Roan.

Sister Ellie took great pains to bring Roan to the negotiation, obviously intending to keep him as her own dog.

Harris, as Sister Ellie's subordinate, always wanted to kill Roan. Roan had many guesses about this.

For example, Harris has mental problems, one of Harris's relatives or friends has a grudge against Roan, or Harris is not Sister Ellie's man, but he obeys other people's orders.

No matter which speculation it was, it meant that there was something wrong with Harris, so Luo An did not kill him directly. Instead, he knocked him out, and then asked Lacey to take him away secretly and temporarily detained him in a place where no one could find him except Lacey, for subsequent interrogation.

After hearing what Ms. Ingeborg said just now, Luo An immediately remembered this incident and found that his guess at the time was indeed correct.

There is someone behind Harris. This guy is an undercover disguised as Sister Ellie. The real goal of that mysterious man is to get rid of himself with the help of Sister Ellie.

Luo An selectively told half of his findings and analysis and kept the other half to himself.

Even so, after listening to Roan's description, Trick Kennedy opened his mouth in a daze, and Ms. Ingeborg looked at Roan in surprise and doubt.

Maximilian looked up and down at Roan for several seconds with approval in his eyes, and finally turned to look at Mr. Clement who was also shocked, and said with a smile:
"Clement, Ingeborg is right. Your luck is really so good that it makes people jealous."

Maximilian had worked in the White House for most of his life and had met so many people that in front of him, at the age of seventy-four, forty-year-olds were considered young.

Even so, it was the first time that Maximilian had seen a young man like Roan, who had sharp perception, quick thinking, extraordinary skills, and could easily fight against enemies several times his number.

In addition, Luo An is not lacking in political thinking, understands the rules and knows how to use them.

The most important thing is that Luo An is only in his twenties this year, not even thirty, and there are still decades waiting for him in the future.

At the end of the thought, Mr. Maximilian's eyes flashed with a hint of jealousy. He looked at Luo An deeply, patted Luo An on the shoulder, and finally left the room without saying a word on his crutches. Mr. Maximilian disappeared, and Ms. Ingeborg slowly walked up to Luo An:
"You gave me a surprise today, Roan."

Although she was a little shorter, she still looked at Luo An carefully several times, and with a smile on her face, she reached out to help Luo An smooth out the wrinkles on his clothes on his shoulders.

Finally, Ms. Ingeborg took out a black business card with gold-plated characters from her pocket and handed it to Luo An, saying with a smile:
"There will be a dinner dance at my estate next month. You and Trick can come together. Remember to bring a female companion."

"No problem, ma'am."

Luo An took the business card, smiled and nodded:

"I will definitely not be absent."

"Good."

Ingeborg's smile became even kinder, and then she turned to look at Trick Kennedy beside her. The smile on her face disappeared, and she rolled her eyes at him and said:
"I really don't know what little Robert has taught you... Take care of the rest and don't make any more mistakes."

"must."

The smile on Trick Kennedy's face was a little awkward. Ms. Ingeborg said nothing more. She turned around, patted Roan's arm gently, and walked out of the room without looking back.

Only Roan, Mr. Clement and Trick Kennedy were left in the room at this time. Roan looked around and was about to speak, but Mr. Clement shook his head and led the two of them out of the room.

An elderly white man who looked like a butler stood at the door and returned the weapons and equipment to Roan with a smile, but the backpack disappeared. Mr. Clement did not say much when he saw this and led Roan and Trick to the door of the small building.

Leaving the building and walking onto the street, Trick Kennedy patted Roan's shoulder apologetically but said nothing. Then he nodded to Mr. Clement, trotted towards the car in the distance and hurried away.

Mr. Clement waved his hand, and a car slowly stopped in front of him:
"Roan, get in the car with me."

"Okay, sir."

Luo An and Mr. Clement got into the back seat of the car, the door closed, and the familiar secretary started the car and drove slowly forward.

After a few seconds of silence, Mr. Clement said:
"Trick had just taken that position and didn't know much about some things, so he didn't react immediately. He didn't deliberately let you take over this case. Someone figured it out and took advantage of it."

Luo An's expression remained unchanged and he asked:
"Sir, what's going on?"

Luo An realized that someone was targeting him behind the case, but who that person was and why he did it, Luo An, who had not interrogated Harris, had not yet completely figured it out. There were still some questions that he did not understand.

Clement did not answer Roan's question immediately, but asked in return:
"Luo An, do you know where this is?"

Luo An looked at the scenery outside the car window and replied:
“Georgetown, northwest of Washington, D.C.”

“Yes, Georgetown.”

Mr. Clement nodded slightly and said:
“It is only two miles from the White House, an eight-minute drive away, and many well-known politicians from across the federation, including Congress, the Supreme Court, and the White House, live nearby.

In addition, many ministers, deputy ministers, and government officials from the federal government also live in this area.”

Mr. Clement paused for a few seconds, then turned to look at Luo An and said with a smile:

“So some people say Georgetown is the real political center of the federation.”
