Chapter 64

Chapter 64 Phone
Not long after the first year of high school, I got gastroenteritis due to improper diet, so I asked for leave to go to the hospital to see a doctor.

It was already Thursday when I asked for leave, and school was over on Saturday, so I didn't go after that week.

On Friday night, when I was about to go to bed, my mother received a call, which showed that it was from the head teacher.

"Hello, teacher." Mom answered the phone.

"Hello, Auntie, we're looking for number one." Number six spoke on the other end of the phone.

"Oh, it's a roommate. I'll give her the phone later." Mom walked into my room and handed me the phone.

"Hello?" I answered the phone, and my mother whispered in front of me, "Your roommate called you from the head teacher."

I nodded, and my mother closed the door and went out.

"What's the matter?" When I heard it was my roommate, I sat up.

"Number One? Is it Number One?" Number Six asked from the other end.

"Are you connected?" The voices of No. [-], No. [-], No. [-] and the whistling of wind came from the other end of the phone.

It was probably holding the head teacher's phone, and he was afraid that others would hear the conversation while standing at the door of the office, so he hid in a vent where there were few people.

"It's me." I heard so many voices on the other end of the phone, and I had an inexplicable feeling that I couldn't explain.

"Oh, it's the voice of number one..." The other end of the phone was confirming if it was me, "Are you feeling better? Are you okay?"

"It's nothing serious, just take some medicine and you'll be here next week." I tried hard to hear what they were saying.

"It's fine." The four people on the opposite side seemed to be relieved, and number two suddenly remembered something, "What?! Come next week? She doesn't have to take tomorrow's math test!"

"Huh? Is there a math test tomorrow?" I laughed out loud.

"Yes! You don't need to take the exam! I'm so envious!" No. [-]'s tone was full of "jealousy".

"Oh! She also escaped today's English test, how cool." Number three also remembered something.

"Ah, it seems that I really missed a lot of things."

"Hurry up and come back, it's your turn to be on duty tomorrow morning!" Number five also remembered something.

"Hey, whoever of you is on duty for a while, I'll return it next week." Hearing the non-sentence voices on the opposite side of them, I suddenly felt a sore nose.

"Oh, are you sure you'll be back next week? We have something for you!" Number Five said again.

"Oh yes yes! We have something for you!" echoed the others.

"Ah... what?" I thought for a while, I didn't seem to do anything special recently, forget it, I can't think of it.

"Hey, you'll know when you're here, and now there's no sense of mystery." No. [-] kept a secret.

The preparation bell for evening self-study rang.

"Oh...it's time for class..." A voice came from the other end of the phone.

"Is it ready? What is there to talk about for so long?" It was the voice of the head teacher.

"Hang up now, hang up now." I felt that No. [-] was two steps away from the head teacher holding the phone.

"We're in class, we've failed, take care of yourself, see you next week." No. [-] spoke at a significantly faster pace.

"Oh yes yes, bye."

"Bye bye, bye, bye..." On the opposite side were the voices of roommates saying goodbye in disorder.

The call ended with a duration of 4 minutes and 51 seconds.

When I gave the phone to my mother, my mother asked my roommate what they wanted from me.

"Take care of my condition."

"You guys have a good relationship with your roommates."

"of course."

When I returned to school the next week, I received a bottle of dried flower perfume, which my roommates bought together, and a greeting card that said "Get well on the [-]st".
