A letter to readers
Hello dears:

This book ends here, and our good times will pause for a while.

Next, let’s talk about some of the settings in this book.

1. How did Yu Yuan come about?
In fact, I am firmly against keeping large marine animals like killer whales in captivity. When I was designing Yu Yuan, I saw a video of two killer whales biting each other's tongues under the guidance of a keeper. The title was "Kiss of Killer Whale Couples". I wonder if you have seen this video.

To be honest, I was quite shocked when I saw it, because this is not a behavior that killer whales usually possess, this was artificially bred in order to make killer whales more "human-like".

I've noticed that people seem to enjoy seeing animals behave in a human-like way.

Of course, if the animals do this unintentionally, or imitate their owners’ actions, I think there is nothing wrong with it, and I also think it is cute.

But everything has its limit. When it exceeds that line, it becomes pathological.

One of the most typical examples is the Teddy Bear that walks upright. Everyone thinks it is curious and interesting, but few people know how much harm this action does to the dog itself. Its spine is deformed and it suffers pain with every step.

So after thinking about it, I chose to set "Yu Yuan" like this.

Yu Yuan’s predecessor was “Beia”. What I want to tell you is that killer whales are not happy in the aquarium. They have a hard time every day, and they may even suffer if the environment is not good.

Some killer whales are forced to fertilize and give birth to calves all year round, and then the calves are separated when they are still young and sold to other aquariums. The typical case is well-known as "Tilikum", and of course there is another poor killer whale that everyone can learn about, "Kiska".

As for Yu Yuan, she is a victim of "human-like extremism". The blind pursuit of making animals like humans is itself pathological. We are not the same species, and each species has its own nature.

2. Why include such a bad character like Maxim in a healing story?
In fact, Maxim has a prototype.

There used to be a "killer whale prison" in Russia, where beluga whales, dolphins and killer whales captured from all over the country were imprisoned in small compartments, waiting to be selected and then sold to oceanariums in various places.

Catching naturally bred killer whales and exchanging them for a large sum of money is a huge profit!

Although the killer whale prison no longer exists, there are still killer whales in the oceanarium. It is conceivable that in many dark corners, these transactions that cannot be known to the public are still going on.

A Qi is a victim of these "gray transactions".

So after much thought, I wrote this article, hoping that everyone can have a better understanding of the killer whale species.

Okay, now the chat is over. Thank you all for reading my book and thank you all for your comments. I am very happy.

See you in the next book!
