However, the desert environment was too crude to make a golden statue, so they cut off the heads of their companions, hoping to bring their souls to India. So if Chen Xuanzang was really determined to go west, he should take the skulls of his nine companions with him, which would be the fulfillment of the remaining wishes of the three incompetent people.
