Chapter 36 Wizard Rumors
Walking all the way down the stairs, the two soon came to a basement.

In the dim space, in the distance is a sarcophagus.

"This is?"

Looking at the figure inside the sarcophagus, Sauron's face changed slightly. It turned out to be Orens, the long-lost lord of Night Crow City, rumored by the outside world.

"Father is dead?" Sauron lost his voice.

"not at all."

Frost shook his head and said softly: "It's just temporarily falling into a deep sleep and can't wake up."

Soren breathed a sigh of relief.

But then, he frowned again, and said in a deep voice, "But why did father do this? Isn't he a high-ranking knight?"

Frost shook his head and walked towards the sarcophagus.

Sauron also followed and looked inside the sarcophagus, only to see a burly man in pure black armor lying in the sarcophagus.

His face was calm, as if he was in deep sleep.

And on Orens's chest, an ancient black book was quietly placed. The gray-white skull on the cover gave off a somewhat ominous atmosphere.

"That's why your father fell into a deep sleep!"

Frost looked solemn, and picked up the ancient black book.

"About half a year ago, someone salvaged this book from Moon Shadow Lake."

"Then, a merchant bought it and dedicated it to your father."

"At first, Orens didn't care."

"But later, for some unknown reason, he suddenly regarded this book as a treasure, and he carried it with him on weekdays and did not allow anyone to get his hands on it!"

"After a while, I found that Orens was getting more and more wrong. I was about to remind him, but found that he had fallen asleep."

"After that, I tried many methods, but none of them could wake Orens up."

"In desperation, I could only look for clues from this book, only to find that this book cannot be opened at all!"

Saying this, Frost sighed.

"Can't be opened? What do you mean?" Sauron frowned slightly.

"It means literally."

Frost shook his head, and said helplessly, "Even if a knight known for his strength puts all his efforts into it, he can't open this ancient black book."

"As for fire, water invasion and other methods, they are also useless!"

After listening to Frost's narration, a trace of thought appeared on Sauron's face.

It seems that the night raven lord who was rumored to be missing has always been in the night raven city, but Frost was worried about Orens' safety, so he placed him in the basement.

"A book that cannot be opened?"

Sauron's eyes flickered, and he reached out to pick up the ancient black book.

Frost hesitated, but didn't stop him. Although the ancient black book was the culprit for Orens's deep sleep, it wouldn't kill him immediately.

Frost had studied it for a long time after Orens fell asleep.

But no matter what method he used, he couldn't open it. The seemingly ordinary black book seemed to be sealed by invisible shackles.

Sauron looked at the ancient black book in his hand.

There is a skull on the cover, which looks lifelike. The whole book is not light, and it feels cold in the hand.

He tried to turn the pages of the book, but he couldn't do it with all his might.

"Really?"

Sauron's heart sank. This black book was really weird, so he looked at Frost and asked.

"After your father fell asleep, you have been studying this book."

"Now, is there no clue at all?"

A hint of helplessness appeared on Frost's face, he shook his head, and pondered: "There are no specific clues, but according to my speculation, this book is probably related to the legendary wizard!"

"Wizard?" Sauron's eyes flashed.

"Yes, wizard!"

Frost nodded slightly, thinking: "Among the ancient classics, wizards are a group of people who control extraordinary power."

"Controlling flames, manipulating corpses, and even calling wind and rain!"

"A powerful wizard, even a great knight can't compete with him. With a wave of his hand, he can destroy a city!"

Hearing Frost's narration, Sauron felt a throbbing in his heart.

"Are there really wizards?"

Sauron's eyes lit up. According to the memory of the original owner, he had heard many legends about wizards when he was young.

However, those legends are always mythical stories.

No one knows if wizards really exist!
Looking at the ancient black book in his hand, Sauron's heart felt hot. If wizards really existed, then this black book might be the key for him to become extraordinary.

"Of course, this is just my guess."

At this moment, Frost spoke again and sighed, "Sixty years have passed since I became a bachelor."

"When I was young, I also fantasized about the existence of wizards."

"However, when I was in my 30s, I traveled almost throughout the Duchy of Tar, and found no traces of wizards."

"I'm afraid there's nothing there."

"Therefore, I am not sure whether those stories about wizards are true."

In this world, wizard stories are like legends.

I don't know how many people have embarked on a journey to pursue wizards, but they have nothing for decades. Even Frost had a dream of becoming a wizard when he was young.

But after a hard search to no avail, Frost also returned to reality.

"You don't have to worry too much about your father's affairs."

Leaning on crutches, Frost came to Sauron's side and comforted him, "With his senior knight's physique, even if he sleeps for several years, his life will not be in danger."

"The top priority now is to stabilize the situation in Night Crow City!"

"The wolves in the western region will not take care of you just because you are young. If you can't deter them, Night Crow City may never have peace!"

Sauron nodded and said, "I understand, Grandpa Frost."

Then, the two turned and left the basement.

After parting with Frost, Sauron returned to his room, locked the door, and took out the black book that could not be opened to study.

"Could it be that some spell is needed?"

Sauron looked at the black book on the table, and murmured, "Or is it a ritual? Blood recognition or something like that?"

Just as Sauron was thinking, the moonlight outside the window projected down, and shone on the cover of the black book. There seemed to be a glimmer of green light burning in the skull of the skull.

"This is?"

Sauron's heart skipped a beat, noticing the changes in the black book.

He subconsciously wanted to back away, but this time, the skulls on the cover were opening and closing, making a low and depressing sound.

"Young man with dark talent, the door to the Necromancer School is open to you!"

As soon as the words fell, the black book was slowly opened, and the grotesque contents inside were presented to Sauron without reservation.
