Chapter 9 08 - Two Directions
For quite a long period of time, people have to face a problem.

The power of a group is obviously higher than that of an individual, so all people gather together to form a tribe, and a tribe is a step further, a kingdom.

The establishment of the kingdom stems from the inability of individuals to resist natural and man-made disasters, so people gather under a political power to resist external influences with the strength of the group.

But how the group should distribute the benefits so that more individuals can be satisfied is a big problem.

Of course, this problem has been temporarily resolved.

To this day, the pyramid-like ruling structure still runs through people's social groups.

As for the people at the bottom, it is enough to ensure that they will not die, and the consideration will be more in-depth later.

Rama did not consider the question of distribution.

For a long time, he always played the assigned role.

As a scholar of the tribe, he never showed his strength, and even Tadela, the falcon responsible for protecting him, never knew Rama's strength.

"No one is really without ambition. Even if you don't love power, you should like the accessories that power brings."

When returning to the tribe, he came to Babel's camp.

The ruling power of the tribes is very clearly differentiated.

As a matrilineal social structure, the [Mistress] is the core of power for the entire Tanit tribe.

After the death of the previous mistress, a group of existences named [Elders] realized the importance of power. They refused to restore the [Mistress System] and ruled the entire tribe with the [Nine Elders] as the core.

This is a normal situation, there is only one [mother], and she enjoys all the powers of the tribe.

But [elders] are different. There can be many elders, and they enjoy relatively equal power.

Therefore, many of the Nine Elders are unwilling to have a [Mother] reappear in the tribe.

Except for Babel, she doesn't want to share power with others, she wants to be the [Mistress] and enjoy all the power to herself.

But if you think about this matter with your knees, you know that most of the other elders will not agree, power is limited, and Babel's sole power means that they have changed from the one who makes the decision to the group of people who obey the power.

After grasping the power, they naturally don't want to let go.

So in the end, Babel chose to clean up most of the elders.

The dead will not refute the opinions and propositions of the living, and Babel understands the principle of solving the person who caused the problem if the problem cannot be solved.

When you can't resolve an objection raised by a person, let the person disappear with his opinion.

In this way, there will be no objection.

Rama intends to start with Babel.

She is very ambitious, and objectively speaking, it is a wrong choice to want to seize power from an ambitious person.

They regard power as everything above their children's parents and even their lives. If you dare to peek at her power, she will try to kill you.

But in the plot, Babel exposed a fatal weakness.

She is too weak.

When there is weakness as the keynote, the ambition to go straight to the blue sky with a big heart can only be described in a simpler way-the heart is higher than the sky, and the life is thinner than paper.

"Rama?" The woman sitting on the chair smiled softly, "My child, I rarely see you at this time."

"Why, do our talented scholars need more help from the Horde?"

She is too perceptive.

"Elder Babel," Rama said calmly, "I went to Kawan Station and saw the world beyond the sand sea."

"The land there is rich and the materials are abundant. Compared with it, the Sand Sea is not a suitable place for survival."

"I know, this is exactly what I want you to see." Babel said with sarcasm, "The elders prevent the children from seeing the new world, worrying that they will hate the sand sea."

"I have to admit that their views are not unreasonable."

"But this land, where is it worth our love?"

If you think the land is barren, then go for the fertile land instead of forcing and teaching children to love singing about the barren desert.

You can love the tribe, but you don't have to love the sand sea.

This is Babel's idea.

"Seeing a brand new world, I should have greater ambitions... For example, why are they occupying this rainforest, why can't the owner of the rainforest be us?"

Rama whispered, "Do you think so?"

"Shouldn't I think so." Babel laughed dumbly, "But good boy, don't express your thoughts."

"If you say what you can't do, you will either cause disaster or be ridiculed."

"And what we really want to do, even the gods don't need to know, you just do it."

"Okay, okay, you have always been a smart person, and you don't need to be taught by your elders." The woman's eyes were burning, "Tell me, what do you want."

"Power." Rama didn't hesitate.

"Ordinarily, I should reprimand you, because power is precious and rare, and only a few people can grasp it." Babel spoke lazily, "But fortunately, there are many elders in the tribe. They are old, but they hold power and are unwilling to let it go."

She was telling Rama how to gain power.

Let them die.

This answer is in line with Rama's cognition.

The elders taught the desert people at the bottom of the tribe to respect their companions and love the tribe.

Elders vie with each other for power at the top of the tribe.

It has always been like this, and it will never stop.

"Just the elder's power is not enough." Rama shook his head.

"If you can kill them quietly, I can support you to the throne, but the price is that I need your loyalty."

Babel laughed and said, "But what are you talking about now? You say this is not enough?"

"Do you want my position?"

She laughed, "Or, do you want to be my master?"

The rule of the tribe is actually the rule of the sages of the Holy Order, and among the six sages, one of the great sages is the most respected.

Among the elders of the Tanit tribe, Babel did not have much power at this time.

Because she was born Falcon.

Falcons are orphans that the tribe plunders or adopts. They receive the most rigorous education and training, and live as weapons of the elders.

Tadella is a falcon, and so will 【Rezji】and 【Nilan】who will confront their younger sister in the future.

This kind of background determines that the upper authority will basically not allow them to hold too much power.

A knife is a knife, killing people is enough, why let a knife hold power?
It is true that Babel was able to rise to the position because his ability surpassed this group of elders by too much.

The power was peeped by others, but Babel couldn't produce any anger.

It's not because she is tolerant and kind, but because she doesn't want to argue too much with ignorant but gifted children.

Although the 16-year-old Rama has some academic talents, he is still an immature child to Babel.

He is valuable, so Babel is willing to give more opportunities.

Rama took out the God's Eye from his pocket, and the crimson God's Eye shone dazzlingly.

"A former god," Babel reached out and took the God's Eye, "You got this thing without anyone knowing."

"Why, the gap between the two worlds is so huge that you can't accept it at all, right?"

She thought that Rama got the God's Eye after seeing the barrenness of the sandy sea and the abundance of another world.

This is of course a bit bizarre, but the acquisition of the Eye of God is so unreasonable.

Some people are going crazy chasing the God's Eye, but in the end they just get nothing.

But there are some other people who obviously don't care about the Eye of God, but the Eye of God has quietly reached their hands.

This is a gift from the gods, and the will of the gods has never been understood by humans.

"No, it's something I got earlier." Rama's palm was filled with red-gold flames, "It's only recently that I have the strength to solve the problem, so it can be exposed."

"The ability to solve problems..." Babel whispered, "If you talk to me in this tone, then you are no longer my child."

"Whether it's an ally, a master, or an enemy, it will depend on your words and abilities later on."

"Rama, what do you think?"

Power is involved, there is no family affection, and naturally there are no children or elders.

They are all enemies that need to be defeated or even eliminated.

Conquer or be conquered.

"I will become the master of the tribe and lead the tribe to a higher place." Rama took a deep breath. "For a long time, there were not no scholars and heroes in the desert, but they left their hometown and went to the rainforest to welcome a new future."

"I don't like the barren sand sea, but the richness of the rainforest."

"But I can't abandon the same race."

Rama couldn't say that he likes deserts, but he doesn't like places where the seasons are like spring and the products are abundant.

But not liking the desert is not the same thing as turning your back on the tribe. It is also two different things to like the fertile rainforest and ignore the hardships of the tribe and only seek one’s own future.
