It could be one or two days, three or five days, or more than ten days, as long as Xuanzang was in a good mood, he would stop to preach. There was no regularity in the place where he preached, either in a deserted mountain or temple, in the fields, in the mountains, forests, river valleys, or in towns and villages.

Xiaobailong was stunned by what Xuanzang had done along the way!

One day, after Xuanzang had been preaching to a small river for half a day, Xiaobailong finally couldn't help asking, "Master, when I was in the West Sea, I also saw monks preaching, but the way these monks preached was slightly different from yours!"

Xuanzang smiled and said, "You mean those monks gathered intelligent creatures and then taught the Dharma, while I just taught the Dharma randomly."

The little white dragon said hurriedly: "Master, I just don't understand. The fish and shrimp in this river have no intelligence. What's the point of the master preaching to them!"

Xuanzang smiled brightly and said, "Little White Dragon, do you know what it means to spread the Dharma and what it means to preach the Tao?"

Little White Dragon frowned and murmured, "Preaching the Dharma, preaching the truth?"

Xuanzang continued, "In order to continue their heritage, the monks in the world naturally seek living beings to pass on their teachings. However, what I am talking about is not to continue the heritage, nor is it the method of cultivation!"

During the time that Xiaobailong followed Xuanzang, he often listened to Xuanzang's teachings, but he had never seen Xuanzang explain the methods of cultivation.

Xuanzang continued, "My true Buddhahood is the Tao, not the Dharma! The method of cultivation requires inheritance and continuation between living beings, while the Tao requires living beings to comprehend it between heaven and earth." Xiaobailong became more confused after hearing this: "Master, what does this comprehending between heaven and earth mean?"

Xuanzang smiled and said, "I have been preaching all the way westward to imprint the true Buddha's way on the world!"

The little white dragon looked at Xuanzang with bulging eyes and said, "Brand between heaven and earth!"

Xuanzang looked up at the void and said, "In the beginning of ancient times, who preached the truth? How can we study it when there was no form of heaven and earth? The sage Taiqing once said, 'The truth gave birth to one, one gave birth to two, two gave birth to three, and three gave birth to all things. There are thousands of ways in the world, but at the beginning, all living beings learned the truth from heaven and earth. I will imprint the truth of Buddha between heaven and earth, and in the future, countless living beings will naturally understand the truth of Buddha from heaven and earth!"

After Xuanzang finished speaking, Xiaobailong was still confused! In fact, even if the experienced Dragon King of the Four Seas was here, he would probably be confused too!
Imprinting one's own Taoism on the world is not unprecedented in the universe! Taoism ancestor Hongjun and Demon ancestor Luohou both did it in the past!

Since the countless eons since the Dao-Demon War, the Demonic Path has been suppressed by countless forces in the heavens and the myriad worlds, but the Demonic Path is still passed down because the Demon Ancestor Luohou left his own Demonic Path imprinted between heaven and earth, so that all living beings in the world can comprehend the Demonic Path through heaven and earth. Therefore, as long as heaven and earth are not destroyed, the Demonic Path will not be destroyed.

Although there are precedents in the heavens and the myriad worlds for imprinting one's own laws on the world, the precedents are the Dao Ancestor and the Demon Ancestor! Apart from the Demon Ancestor and the Dao Ancestor, even the saints only integrated their own laws into the world, and never imprinted the laws on the world. Xuanzang's move was really shocking!
Xuanzang's move was actually not a rash one!
Xuanzang's true Buddha's way and identity were bound to conflict with Lingshan Buddhism, and were bound to be unacceptable to the Heavenly Dao and Hongjun! In this case, Xuanzang would cut off the firewood from under the cauldron, directly using the great catastrophe of heaven and earth to cover it up, and imprint the true Buddha's way between heaven and earth.

Xiniu Hezhou is a territory where Buddhism has been operating for countless generations. Buddhist teachings and Taoism are intertwined here. It was not actually that difficult for Xuanzang to imprint the true Buddha's way on Xiniu Hezhou.

Yes, although Xuanzang imprinted the true Buddha's way in the world, he only chose Xiniu Hezhou, a place with rich Buddhist and Taoist connotations! With Xuanzang's cultivation and magical powers, it is impossible for him to directly imprint his own Taoism in the heavens and the worlds like the Taoist Ancestor and the Demon Ancestor. In fact, even in Xiniu Hezhou in the earthly world, without the blessing of the great catastrophe of heaven and earth and the cover of the catastrophe, Xuanzang would have no chance of success.

As the one who was to be afflicted by the great calamity of heaven and earth, Xuanzang naturally had some advantages during the calamity.

Moreover, once Xuanzang's plan was completed, Lingshan Buddhism would no longer pose any threat to Xuanzang, and even the two Buddhist saints would find it difficult to control Xuanzang. After all, as long as the true Buddha in the world of Xiniu Hezhou was not destroyed, Xuanzang would not be able to truly perish. By then, let alone the two Buddhist saints, even if Tiandao and Hongjun wanted to plot against Xuanzang, they would have to spend a lot of energy.

For the heaven and earth, it is beneficial for the heaven and earth that Xuanzang's true Buddhist path is imprinted between heaven and earth.

Therefore, even if Tiandao and Hongjun plotted against Xuanzang, they would still face the backlash of heaven and earth!

Of course, these backlashes were nothing to Tiandao and Hongjun. After all, Xuanzang was not a Hunyuan Daluo Jinxian, and what he imprinted between heaven and earth was not a complete law. However, making Tiandao and Hongjun hesitate and pay a price when they plotted against him in the future was the limit of what Xuanzang could do.

Daozu Hongjun once said that everyone below a saint is an ant! This statement not only refers to the saint's terrifying strength, but also to the saint's contribution to the world by integrating his own law imprint into the world.

Seeing Xiaobailong’s confused face, Xuanzang just smiled and didn’t say anything else!
After the difficulty in Guanyin Temple, Xuanzang also initially recognized Xiaobailong, otherwise he would not have told him these things!
Of course, since Xuanzang dared to say this to Xiaobailong, he was not afraid that Xiaobailong would spread the news! What's more, Xiaobailong might not necessarily spread the news.
The dragon clan backed Jiejiao, and the West Sea dragon clan had a lot of dirty things with Buddhism. Even if Xiaobailong told the dragon clan the news, the dragon clan would not tell Buddhism. The only thing Xuanzang was a little concerned about was Buddhism.
