swallow a dragon ball
359. Final words
The book is finished, thank you to all the book friends who followed it all the way to the end.
Being able to follow the updates all the way to the end, I guess everyone is a little exhausted from the updates.
After all, as I get to the later stages of this book, the pace of the story becomes more and more depressing, and the protagonist doesn’t have much cool pretense, and it always feels a bit boring and tiring to follow.
To be honest, the ending of this book is a little inconsistent with the ending I imagined at the beginning, but by the end of the writing, I felt that it was not completely under the author's control.
The world he writes seems to have life and spirituality. No matter which direction it goes, everything feels destined.
The follow-up, especially the chapter where I entered the competition with the mastermind behind the scenes, felt a little out of control as I wrote it. Especially in the final battle with the saints, I always felt that Yahaijie did not have much capital to win.
Even when it comes to the protagonist, it is like passing the baton from generation to generation to cultivate a person like the protagonist, but it still feels not enough.
Even if we work together and work hard, I still feel it’s not enough.
After all, the world is where it is, and giant whales cannot be raised in a pond. This has always been my point of view.
Thus, there was an unprecedented and difficult victory for this book.
The victory is not that the protagonist is stronger than the saints, but that the saints themselves have problems. The protagonist is essentially forced to win!
Originally, I planned to write about everyone uniting as one, and then defeating all the saints through bloody battles, but for some reason I can't seem to write the passionate feeling of everyone uniting as one in the end of the book "The King of Meng".
Maybe the edges have been smoothed?
The ending of this book is a bit abrupt, but I still like the feeling that the most common sunshine, wind, thunder, rain and dew are the avenue itself.
This is my thinking about what the ultimate form of power looks like.
I feel that individuals among living beings are sometimes a little insignificant in front of the real way of heaven (nature), just like storms, tsunamis, and landslides.
The original gods of mankind were essentially all kinds of nature worship.
The sun has a god of helios, the frost has a god of frost and snow, and the ocean has a god of the sea.
And the gods are the embodiment of various natural powers!
This is very different from my previous protagonists. The final battle was about how brilliant the fairy light was, and how many stars and universes were destroyed in one blow.
The greatest force I understand is the primitive forces of nature.
It looks like the simplest falling snow, but as long as it falls for a while, the whole world will be frozen, and all living things will return to nothingness.
of course.
This is also related to my lack of knowledge and imagination. Maybe I failed to imagine a world under the laws of the fantasy universe, and what the true form of destruction of heaven and earth would be.
Therefore, the final battlefield I gave is that there is no light, no wind, no sound, everything returns to nothingness. Okay, after saying this, I will also summarize the gains and losses of my book.
My biggest feeling when writing this book is that the sense of expectation at the beginning is misplaced and the excitement in the follow-up is missing.
The misplaced sense of expectation is mainly reflected in the fact that the protagonist started from a young age and suffered all kinds of injustices and hardships. What everyone is looking forward to is the protagonist rising up to carry out Huang Chao's actions and revolutionize the world.
But I turned around and wrote about entering an aristocratic family, which seemed like a betrayal of my own class.
This is inherently very unflattering upfront!
In the middle period, when it comes to the battle between the real dragon and the unicorn, I want to create an opponent with a relatively high level of strength who only has a conflict of opinion with the protagonist.
When He Qilin appeared less, this feeling could still be maintained, but as soon as He Qilin appeared, I mistakenly made him lose his strength, causing the character to completely collapse.
After arriving at He Qilin, the protagonist directly participated in the dispute between the north and the south.
The protagonist's strength here seems a bit lacking, and he himself is not at the point where he can completely turn the tide, so there is still some lack of excitement.
In the last part, enemies appear one after another, but in essence they are not completely established, and the excitement is still seriously lacking.
Essentially, my writing skills are not good enough, I am not very good at opening dungeons, and my ability to create characters is also lacking, which makes the story not three-dimensional.
Heroes such as the "Four Generations and Three Heroes" I mentioned at the beginning appeared too many times at once, resulting in everyone having a small role, and then they failed to stand up.
The Nine Kings are also a good group. The writing seems to be fine, but the control of combat power is a bit unbalanced, causing all the Nine Kings to be soy sauce.
This is something I regret very much!
Because it is still very depressing, there is something missing in terms of perception and experience.
Now that I think about it, my book still seems to have some shortcomings in every aspect. For example, the cultivation system and the golden finger are both too complicated and seriously hindered. Overall, it has become neither good nor good.
In future writing, we still need to overcome these shortcomings and write the story more solidly. Especially for the control of combat power, we need to do addition and subtraction well. We cannot destroy the world at every turn, which can easily lead to the collapse of the world view.
In terms of characters, I feel that we need to make a good choice, either directly subtracting and directly templating, or focusing on establishing them and making them more specific.
In short, I am very grateful to all the book friends who have been able to follow up to this point. Thank you for your support and tolerance.
As for the new book, it will probably take some time to prepare, but it shouldn’t be too long.
