Chapter 313 Victory
Harry took a deep breath and nodded to Snape.

Professor McGonagall had much less combat experience than Snape, who had once worked under Voldemort. Also, because she was busy teaching most of the time, the pressure on Harry was not as great as he had imagined.

But Snape was different.

He is a very powerful wizard who does not use dark magic or strong offensive spells. His ranking in Hogwarts is on par with Professor Flitwick and second only to Dumbledore.

Of course, he is now inferior to Grindelwald.

And looking at Snape's serious expression, it was clear that he was absolutely determined to defeat him.

Harry clenched his wand and licked his lips slightly excitedly.

Although it is not a life-and-death fight, it is enough to test one's strength as a wizard.

Dumbledore waved his wand, and a water-blue hemispherical barrier rose from the edge of the dueling field.

"Albus, you--" McGonagall's eyes showed worry.

"Don't worry, Minerva." Dumbledore walked forward, passed through the barrier and stepped into the duel arena. The old voice passed through the barrier and became empty.

"I will protect everything."

Mag nodded and put her heart back in her stomach.

Dumbledore's strength has always been trustworthy, since the moment she entered Hogwarts.

Even when Voldemort suppressed the entire wizarding world, she never changed her mind.

The barrier of the duelling arena rippled a bit like Trelawney's shattered beads.

McGonagall's heart suddenly skipped a beat. She took a deep breath, patted her chest with her hand, and looked down at Trelawney who was quietly 'sleeping'.

It won’t be accurate. So many predictions have failed, and it won’t be accurate this time either.

McGonagall pursed her lips and looked at Dumbledore's back.

But he is indeed old.

Perhaps, he should be advised to retire early.

McGonagall was trying to downplay the impact of the prophecy, but Dumbledore's voice suddenly brought her back to reality.

"Severus, Harry, don't use killing spells." Dumbledore emphasized: "This is just a competition. I don't want to see any of you get hurt."

Seeing Snape and Harry nod at the same time, Dumbledore took a deep breath and said in a deep voice:

"preparation--"

"start!"

As soon as he finished speaking, green light and red light shot out from Snape and Harry's wands respectively.

The two beams of light collided with each other, and violent white sparks erupted in the void. Immediately afterwards, the sound of a spell slowly rang out.

"All petrified!"

"Except your weapons!"

A hint of surprise flashed across Snape's eyes, and then he walked sideways, waving his wand towards Harry. At the same time, spells and magic power burst out the moment the tip of the wand was pointed at Harry.

"Weapons of destruction!"

Coincidentally, Harry performed almost the same actions as Snape, except that the spell was changed.

"All petrified!"

The red light and the green light collided again, and the light spot that was originally in the vision of the wizard watching the battle was lit up again.

Harry and Snape pulled away and moved again, wands held horizontally, the magic in their bodies pulsating with movement.

Harry's magic was like a blazing flame, Snape's like the night tide.

In the collision of fire and water, Dumbledore only felt a thin layer of steam blocking his vision. He couldn't help but raise his wand and his expression became more serious.

Flitwick clenched his fists tightly, and Magg pinched the hem of her skirt.

Logically speaking, the two collisions just now should have been tests between Harry and Snape.

But the speed at which the two of them cast spells was close to the level of a fierce battle between an Auror and a Death Eater.

It is understandable that Snape follows his words without any hesitation, but how can a young wizard like Harry reach such a state of being tempered by thousands of times?

Tom Riddle licked his lips, his eyes showing interest.

"Mr. Riddle, I advise you not to go after Harry," Quirrell whispered. "I'll keep an eye on you."

"You've changed so much recently, Quirrell." Tom's lips moved and made a hissing sound. "I can hardly recognize you. Can you tell me what you want?"

"I can help you. The power of one person is always stronger than two."

Quirrell frowned. He could speak Parseltongue, but he defined it as an appendage of past mistakes and sins, and resolved not to use it again.

"I don't need your help, Riddle." Quirrell spoke normally, with the wand in his sleeve quietly touching Tom's waist. "You just need to be quiet and conscientious in fulfilling the professor's rules. You don't have to worry about anything else."

Tom laughed and spoke normally, "I will, so don't be nervous, Quirrell."

"Let's watch the duel carefully." Harry and Snape only had each other in their eyes. The test just now made them realize that they would not be able to defeat their opponents without using their full strength.

Thinking of this, the magic power in the two of them suddenly surged.

Harry's wizard robes bulged out as if stretched by muscles.

Snape's clothes were sticking to his body, as if they were wet, and gave off a faint smell of dampness.

All the wizards present also focused their attention.

"A spring of fresh water gushed out!"

"The flames are blazing!"

Two essential spells for home and travel, originally used to fill a kettle and light a bonfire.

But in the hands of Snape and Harry, they became hideous.

The stream of water released from the tip of Snape's staff immediately swept across half of the dueling arena.

Except for Dumbledore and his own feet, the water level in his duel half suddenly rose by more than two meters, almost touching the top barrier.

Harry's flames were no less powerful, the red heat changed the color of the blue barrier.

Even under Harry's control, the destructive flames caused some of Dumbledore's unkempt beard to curl.

Dumbledore seemed to smell the burnt odor of his beard.

But he didn't care about that.

The collision of water and fire produced a large amount of steam, which seriously blocked his vision.

Dumbledore had to extend his magical tentacles to sense the duelists' states and movements.

"I should have insisted on learning the magic of clairvoyance," Dumbledore said to himself. "If I had, Minerva wouldn't have blamed me now."

Dumbledore's expression was solemn. He had to admit that he had seriously underestimated Harry's strength.

In this situation, he can only rely on his rich experience to ensure the safety of the duel.

【Everything is still under control.】

Dumbledore encouraged himself in his heart.

Outside the duel arena barrier, Flitwick looked at the three people covered in steam and said to Mag:

"Minerva, can you see what's going on inside?"

He leaned over to Mag's legs and whispered, "When you confiscated Albus's clairvoyance spell, did you learn it?"

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot." Mag suddenly woke up, took out her wand, pointed it at her eyes, and cast a spell: "Nothing can block it."

Her eyes flashed with light, and the situation inside the barrier suddenly became extremely clear.

"What happened? What happened?" Flitwick asked anxiously, jumping up and down.

"I'm watching. They haven't moved. Don't worry. I'll tell you."

"Hey, cast a spell on me, Minerva."

"..." McGonagall was silent for a while. After feeling that her cerebellum had not shrunk, she waved her wand and said, "Nothing is blocking it."

Flitwick's eyes lit up and he saw the scene in the duel arena clearly.

"Quick Freeze! Snake Kiss Mimicry!" Snape cast two spells in succession within one second.

The water vapor around them suddenly cooled down. Although it was difficult to see clearly, in the newly acquired infrared vision, the figures of Harry and Dumbledore were clearly visible to Snape.

"Expelliarmus." Immediately afterwards, the wand in Snape's hand shot out a red light and hit Harry directly.

Won.

Snape thought to himself, feeling slightly relieved.

Dumbledore looked in Harry's direction in shock. The red light that hit Harry was actually reflected back!
"Snapped!"

Snape stared blankly at the wand that slipped out of his hand. The water vapor condensed into ice crystals and fell down. Harry's smiling face appeared poetically in front of him.

"Lily is worthy of being your child." Snape murmured softly, and there was no loss in his eyes, but instead he was full of emotion and surprise.

He bent down to pick up his wand, looked at Harry calmly, and said, "Silent casting, what a brilliant decision, Harry."

"Thank you for your guidance, Dean."

Snape smiled and nodded, then said to Dumbledore seriously: "I lose, Albus."

"Should we let Harry rest for a while before the next person comes up?"

 Gone.

It turns out that there is still enough time to type on the subway.

The base of my thumb hurts a bit, so I put on a plaster.
