Chapter 787 Hodgepodge

From this day on, the Qin State officially embarked on the exploration of studying the microscopic world in all aspects.

In the past, the ancients always emphasized the importance of self-cultivation and guarding the heart; they also adopted inherent habits when recording classics, focusing on refined expression, and writing articles must be accurate and vivid.

But starting from today, the situation will change completely.

Under the influence of Fusu, two major systems began to emerge within the Qin State, one was the Confucian school of literature and the other was the school of differential calculus.

In the past, in mathematics, an idea could be expressed in just a few sentences, but now, according to the requirements of Emperor Qin II, formulas must be expressed using numbers and symbols to simplify them into tools that everyone can use.

To this end, the Qin people also followed Fusu's advice and set up an experimental group and an experimental primary school. They brought a group of primary school students to the Imperial College to let them study while testing whether the mathematical principles could be explained to children or even to the old grandfather selling vegetables on the street.

After all, the old Qin Kingdom has a profound cultural heritage, and every family has at least a few books. One is Easy to Learn, which doesn't matter if men can't understand it, but they can take it out to show off; the other is a multiplication formula, which is exactly the same as the multiplication formula that Fusu recited in the world he traveled to two thousand years later.

The only difference is that the multiplication table unearthed during the Qin Shihuang era was in reverse order, starting from ninety-nine equals eighty-one, while the modern multiplication table starts from one equals one.

Although Zhang Cang was reluctant, he was still pulled by Geng Shouchang to do mathematical research.

After reorganizing their ideas on land division, they began to develop the first mathematical formula in Qin history - the calculus derivative formula.

This formula came out a thousand years ahead of schedule and is equivalent to the world's first mathematical formula.

It is said that one gives birth to two, two gives birth to three, and three gives birth to all things.

Now that you have a gourd, can’t you draw a gourd?

In mathematics, the Qin people finally filled in the gap that had always been missing.

After mathematics, the next thing is physics.

Logically speaking, alchemy should be closely related to microscopic chemistry, after all, it is all about formulas. When different proportions of powder are added, some will explode, some will change color, and some will solidify.

But because this was the Qin Dynasty, there were no such advanced and sophisticated technical tools. They couldn't even make glass or rubber, let alone make precision observation instruments or microscopic glassware.

In this case, calling this alchemy chemistry is an insult to modern chemistry.

On the contrary, this is somewhat similar to physics. In essence, it is to create some new material components, and the created material components are still subject to certain presets.

To do this, they record every time they create a new phenomenon with a substance, or a completely new substance.

Some aspects are used in military weapons research, while others that cannot be applied to military service would have been discarded in the past, but not now.

Because times are changing, an era of peace has arrived, and people are pursuing wealth, stability, and many descendants. At this time, those things that were regarded as waste in the past will be discarded and regarded as useless, but this will not happen now.

Everything can be studied and utilized.

For this purpose, the Qin Academy has set aside many empty rooms for specialized researchers.

However, when the government organizes people to conduct research according to certain goals, some problems may arise.

For example, some people with connections come in, or they have no idea about research and are completely forced to do it.

For invention and creation, interest is the primary driving force.

As is the case today, the Qin Empire is always subject to many restrictions when conducting micro-academic research.

But as the saying goes, although you may try to plant flowers but they may not bloom, you may plant willows by accident and they may grow into a shade.

Anyway, thanks to the efforts of alchemists, physics and the invention of gunpowder have made great progress.

They have evolved from blowing up a furnace at the beginning to almost destroying an entire palace.

Although the Mo Sect has not yet achieved any world-renowned achievements, it has already become famous throughout the world.

It is said that the people from the Mo Sect have normal face color when they enter the Mo Pavilion every day, but when they get off work at the time of Shen, their faces are either covered in black and gray or blue.

If you suddenly hear a loud noise in the sky in Xianyang City, it must be another explosion in Moge of Taixue.

From being unpopular in the beginning and being suspected of being a money-burning project to being still unpopular now, Mo Ge still has a long way to go.

The little they have achieved so far cannot outweigh the financial blow they have inflicted on this little baby who has just begun to learn to walk.

However, Fusu still strongly supported the people of Mo Ge because they achieved the effect that Fusu wanted.

In drawings and paintings, as well as in documents submitted to the emperor, there was a beginning trend of parting ways with the Confucian school.

As mentioned before, the focus of the classical literature school is on the macro perspective. The ancients did not like to get bogged down in minutiae and only cared about the meaning and spirit of everything.

Whether it is painting, writing, or sculpture, they don't care about the tools or the outlines. The key is to convey the meaning - that is, God.

So their research methods are always full of a sense of the overall situation. But in fact, to put it bluntly, it is empty and does not pay attention to all the details. The result is to study everything. If you don’t study the details, how can you talk about studying everything?

So one problem with reading the ancient classics is that they feel empty and boring, and they are too grand.

As soon as they opened their mouths, they talked about self-cultivation, managing the family, governing the country and bringing peace to the world...How to cultivate oneself and manage the family, no one said anything;

There are a lot of mental methods and prescriptions, but no one has written about the methodologies and techniques that can truly help people live a better life in the world.

After Fusu succeeded to the throne, he began to make up for this shortcoming.

Fusu saw that the young men in Mo Ge were useless, and he had already been "deified" by the people, so he thought he might as well try something fancy since he was free anyway.

……

……

……

If physics doesn't come up with something new, it will really be a hodgepodge, like chemistry but not chemistry, and like physics but not physics.

To this end, Fusu worked hard on a major task and promoted modern scientific civilization in a completely new way.

However, these things did not conflict or contradict each other with Fusu's next big event of publicly using divination to assist the country.

Just like what Siddhartha Gautama said when he was explaining the scriptures to his disciples, in fact, you disciples still do not have enough knowledge.

The truth is a sphere. Although everyone sees it as a circle, their expressions are different because of different angles.

But just seeing this side is not enough.

Because the faces sometimes conflict with each other, only when you get a whole ball, you will understand that there are no strange people and no strange things in this world.

Physics, chemistry, Qimen Dunjia, and Taoist magic have never been in conflict.

However, almost no one in this world has the opportunity to master all this knowledge and explore it.

Perhaps in history, only Siddhartha Gautama, an absolute scholar and wise man, has achieved this.

Of course, Huangdi, Jiang Ziya and others are also remarkable figures. It is just because they are from different countries and have different language systems that people think they belong to different worlds.

However, in thousands of years, there has only been one person who could reach that level, Siddhartha Gautama.

Unfortunately, people always think of Buddha as the god they imagine in their hearts. In fact, he is just a wise man who has mastered a lot of knowledge. Sakyamuni is a person, not a god. Buddha is not a god.

However, there are always people who regard Buddha as a god who can fulfill wishes, and ignore the most fundamental spirit of Buddhism. Buddha is only conveying a spirit of how to be a human being and do things, but as a result, it is used by people to deceive people.

Let me repeat again, Buddha is not a god. The essence of Buddhism is to convey the spirit of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas living in the world.

Buddhism, cultivation of immortality (allowing your soul to ascend to a higher dimension), Chinese Taoist metaphysics, science, and even Western religions are not contradictory to each other.

Fusu was also a sensible person. In order not to delay those who had the opportunity to cultivate immortality, he did not interfere with those classics.

All the classics, intact.

In the future, there will be no disputes between ancient and modern literary schools in history.

Qin Shi Huang wanted to leave good things for future generations, but Fusu did not. He destroyed everything for future generations, giving evil people the opportunity to do evil.

Therefore, Fusu not only had no intention of interfering with the Confucian school, but also gave them a large sum of money to carve stone scriptures and bury them in the palace to prevent them from being.

In addition, let them conduct in-depth research and further study the I Ching and Qi Men Dun Jia.

Because compared with the content expanded by Yixue in later generations, the Yixue and even Qimen Dunjia that Daqin possesses now are somewhat out of date.

How should I put it? It was during the Song Dynasty that the study of Yijing developed significantly, and the Plum Blossom Yishu and Ziwei Doushu appeared.

Although they are both Yixue, they are very different. In the Qin Dynasty, these mysterious arts were basically used to serve the country and the war.

However, after the Han, Tang and Song dynasties, the Taoist magic was transformed into services in peacetime and served the common people.

Liu Ji, a great poet during the Ming Dynasty, is probably unfamiliar to most people, but he was actually Liu Bowen under Zhu Yuanzhang.

It was not until Liu Bowen came to summarize the books of Qimen Dunjia and the art of war passed down by Zhang Liang and Zhuge Liang, and compiled a complete book of Qimen Dunjia, systematically summarizing this science.

Of course, the development of Yixue has always been adhering to that saying.

Yi is for the benefit of the gentleman, not for the benefit of the villain.

It is impossible for a person with evil intentions to master Yixue, let alone make progress.

Liu Bowen also wrote the same words in the Complete Book of Qi Men Dun Jia: The essence of Qi Men Dun Jia can only be learned by those who have the desire to correct the world and save the people.

So, it is not that there is no chance to get started, but if you don’t have the spirit to learn Yixue, you will not be able to get the essentials. Even if you use all kinds of cunning and treacherous means to learn it, you will be bitten back in the end.

This is numerology.

If you think about it carefully, how could God allow people with evil intentions to master the Yijing? That would be unacceptable.

God knows that some bad guys are very bad. He would rather let them stay at the bottom level all their lives than promote such people to high positions. So how could he allow these bad guys to have their way?

In short, the entire Yijing was still like a pure baby when the second emperor of the Qin Empire first ascended the throne. Yijing only had two functions: simple hexagram texts and divination.

The essence of Yixue has not yet been developed.

The shortcomings of ancient China in physics and astronomy have not only affected the development of science, but also the development of Yixue. In fact, the shortcomings of physics, astronomy, chemistry, and geometry have always restricted the ancients' understanding of the River Chart and the Luoshu.

But after the 21st century, when one group of pioneers were flexibly using the Qi Men Dun Jia to solve cases in real life, another group of pioneers were using physics and geometry to understand the River Chart and Luo Shu.

After research, they used a more intuitive plane diagram to draw out the spatial dimensions expressed by the River Map and Luoshu.

Although this group of people had not received widespread attention before Fusu traveled through time, the achievements they made have great significance for people to understand the universe and life and improve their lives.

As for the present Daqin, you can say it is a newborn baby with infinite possibilities in the future; but in fact, Daqin is actually extremely poor now.

Brutal wars benefit no one.

The Qin Dynasty had nothing, let alone geometry. It was good enough if they could make the wheel round.

The Qin Empire had just started and it had an emperor named Qin Ershi. He had to eradicate all the ills two thousand years ago and lead the Chinese people onto the right path - it was difficult, very difficult.

It was also difficult for Fusu's ministers.

In general, these ministers will face many difficulties in the future to complete what Qin II planned to install in the Qin Empire.

Feng Quji, who had just followed six ministers to argue with Emperor Qin II, was met with rebuff again.

This time he embarrassed himself in front of Qin II again.

Let us recall that the last time Feng Quji vowed not to conflict with Fusu and to be a good minister was last time.

Who would have thought that just by changing a set of clothes, from spring clothes to autumn clothes, Feng Quji actually got married three times.

He had done such a stupid thing again.

Feng Quji was originally just worried that the emperor was being too radical and wanted to put some pressure on Fusu. However, Fusu pushed him, the prime minister, far away and didn't even give him a chance to speak.

What needs to be made clear is that just because Feng Quji came with them, it doesn’t mean that Feng Quji is in the same group as the six of them.

Daqin, this is a powerful country.

However, few people explore the particularities behind this powerful country.

While Qin, like other countries, inherited the Zhou system, Qin was able to evolve a more advanced political civilization under pressure and replace aristocratic politics with a bureaucratic system.

Within the Qin State, duels between ministers had long since broken away from the complex aristocratic hereditary system, so the struggles between them were even more brutal, and they were not even considered relatives.

In addition, since Shang Yang's reform, a tendency has emerged within the Qin State. As successive kings built a centralized system, when Ying Zheng, the favored son of heaven, was born, he accomplished the feat of promoting the centralized system to the entire China in one breath. A situation had been established in the world where power was above everything.

In other words, in China, having money doesn’t mean anything, you still need power.

This is completely different from the free and chaotic atmosphere during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period.

In that era, if Fan Li did not want to be an official, he could go into business; the businessman Lu Buwei was good at business but felt bored with life, so he wanted to be a politician and invest in himself.

In their minds, there is actually no difference between the two.

Or in other words, in the last era, what power could get people, money could also get people.

But starting from Qin Shihuang, this situation no longer existed.

Under the centralized system, all commercial activities must kneel before the imperial power.

In an era when the bureaucratic system had just been established, the ministers had to cross the river by feeling the stones when facing the king.

As for the ministers' interactions with each other, they were like walking in a thorny field with cloth covering their glasses.

Since the establishment of the imperial system, no one has been on the same page with anyone else.

To put it bluntly, the emperor and the common people are in the same boat, and the ministers are the emperor's tools.
