Chapter 12
After eating, Rosia returned to the room.

Werner did not ask her about anything that happened during the day, nor did he mention it to Aunt Mesa, as if everything that happened during the day was just an illusion of her own.As strange as it was, she was more grateful for his respect.

The layout of the room was very similar to the one she lived in Mrs. Cornman's house. Rosia opened the drawer and took out her notebook. After meeting Aunt Mesa, this notebook returned to her hands.

Turning over a new page, she slowly wrote what happened today. She performed an operation and saved a person.Maybe it might cause some trouble in the future, but as a doctor, she has always been taught to save lives and heal the wounded. She might regret it in the future, but this time, she still had to do it.

After simply remembering the embarrassing incident of doing the horizontal bar on a bicycle, Rosia's mood improved inexplicably, and she wrote the time at the end:

1939 2 Month 28 Day.

The students' vacation was really short. Rosia slept, had breakfast the next day, and was about to go back to school. The same was true for Werner.

Outside, Credy, who has always been inexplicably hostile to Rosia, drove over in a military vehicle.Although she was glad that she no longer had to do the horizontal bar, Creedy was also someone she didn't want to see.She had always wondered if Creedy had any unreasonable thoughts about his parents, which was why he was so hostile to her existence.

Werner opened the car door for her in a gentlemanly manner, and Rosia jumped in. She didn't want to look into Credy's eyes, so she kept her head lowered.

The car arrived at the entrance of the medical school very quickly. Rosia greeted Werner and got out of the car, and the car continued to the military school.

As soon as Rosia entered the school, she felt that the atmosphere in the school today was very strange. Girls were everywhere looking at her.

She understood that it must be because of the surgery she had performed yesterday. She was originally a nursing student and suddenly became a skilled doctor. She managed to attract some attention from her peers.

Although she is not used to it, she is still very happy that her professionalism has won the respect of others.

After entering the classroom, the girls already in the class also paid attention to her. Rosia walked to her seat and sat down. Ilana was already there. When she saw her coming, she asked mysteriously: "You discovered a lot today. Have people looked at you?"

"Ah."

Ilana nudged her with her elbow: "Then tell me quickly, was that charming handsome guy yesterday your boyfriend? Or his fiancé?"

Rosia: "..."

Is this why everyone looks at her?
Could it be that her surgery was not as good as Werner's beauty and charm?
Rosia was depressed and didn't want to talk to her deskmate at all.

Ilana had no ability to observe at all, and kept talking: "I have never seen such a handsome and outstanding man, and got the attention of such a person. You are really lucky, Barabara..."

Rosia's face turned completely dark.

She understands why Germany favors boys over girls, because men are constantly striving to increase their charm, while women only know how to have unrealistic fantasies every day.

Just when Ilana was chattering, Teacher Gilica came over. It was not class time yet, and she did not put on a serious face. After searching for Rosia in the classroom, she called her out.

Rosia is also very grateful for Teacher Gilika's help yesterday. Germans are loyal to orders and obedience and always respect their mentors.Today she sincerely expressed her respect.

"I'm very grateful that you allowed me to witness a wonderful operation yesterday and let me participate in it." Teacher Gilica was very happy. "The instructor woke up last night and asked us to convey our gratitude to you. Val." General Hotz came to give the lecture yesterday and did not leave. He saw your excellence and courage and asked us to reward you."

"So, the school decided to make an exception and transfer you to the medical school." Teacher Jilica was obviously very excited, and patted her on the shoulder to encourage: "Go, let them experience the charm of the mysterious oriental medicine."

Rosia was stunned, transferred to medical school?Transferring a nursing student to medical school is really a big exception!

Seeing her dumbfounded expression, Teacher Gilica suddenly became happy, winked at her, and then continued: "There is another big surprise. Originally, I wanted to give this opportunity to Dr. Gray, but You’re so cute, I’m going to announce it in advance.”

She let go of her hand on Rosia's shoulder, straightened her nurse's uniform, and told her very seriously but still smiling: "Doctor Gray is going to take you to Poland to further your studies. There are top German doctors there. Doctors, they and Poland are collaborating on a new drug."

"Poland?"

Rosia felt as if she had been struck by lightning, and her whole body became stiff.

"Yes, Poland! It is a beautiful place." Teacher Gilika showed a yearning expression: "You have to believe that doctor is a great and important profession. An excellent doctor is far more valuable than an excellent soldier. Just work hard.”

Teacher Gilika looked at her dull face again and couldn't help but laugh again: "Look at my cute little guy, he was so frightened by the huge surprise."

She didn't think anything was wrong with Rosia. This should be a normal reaction to receiving such news.So after she straightened her clothes again, she left happily.

Rosia stood there, feeling that she didn't know what she was thinking in her mind, it was completely blank.

After a while, she realized in a daze that she was going to Poland, the tragic place where World War II began.
