Apricot of the Great Desolation
Chapter 284 Nagging Tang Monk, Tight Curse
Chapter 284: Chatty Tang Monk, tight curse
"You're welcome. Demons are rampant here. Why did you come here alone?" Taibai Jinxing asked.
"The poor monk came from the Tang Dynasty in the east and wanted to go to the Lingshan Mountain in the west to obtain the true scriptures! Passing here, I don't want to meet demons. Thank you for saving me, senior! Don't you know your senior's name?" Xuanzang said affectionately, his tone full of gratitude. .
"Haha, you don't have to be polite, elder. My name is Taoist Chang Geng. I travel around the world and slay demons. I just did it casually to save you!"
"The Western Lingshan Mountain is a fairyland. How can you go there with a mortal body?" Taoist Chang Geng asked.
"To be fair to the Taoist priest, this poor monk once received enlightenment from the Golden Light Bodhisattva and knows a route that even a mortal can go there!" Xuanzang said honestly.
At this time, Xuanzang was a pure Buddhist monk, adhering to the monastic rule of not lying and telling the truth directly.
He didn't know what it meant for a mortal monk to have a road that could lead directly to the fairy world.
Taoist Chang Geng laughed dumbly, shook his head, wondering how the golden cicada became like this after reincarnation, and then warned:
"Don't mention the elder's words again. If an evil cultivator hears this, I'm afraid his soul will be searched for. By then, it will be wiped out and there will be no reincarnation."
Xuanzang was shocked and frightened for a while, then he thanked Taoist Chang Geng repeatedly.
"To be fair to the elders, there is a Five Elements Mountain thousands of miles away. It was located here 500 years ago. A great demon was suppressed in it. It was the Buddha himself who subdued it back then. If the elders are passing by, please be careful!" Taoist Chang Geng reminded again! road.
"The poor monk saved it, thank you Taoist priest for letting me know!" Xuanzang expressed gratitude.
"Dare to ask, Master, why was that big demon suppressed by the Buddha?"
"This poor guy doesn't know either!"
"Then what does this great demon look like? Is he an immortal?"
"Yes!"
"What are you going to eat and drink when you're trapped under the Five Elements Mountain?"
"Being pressed down by a mountain, he should have passed away long ago!"
.........
Chang Geng's head was covered with black lines, and then he stopped talking, and his figure turned into nothingness and left directly.
When Xuanzang saw Chang Geng leaving, he shook his head regretfully, and then embarked on the journey again.
After Xuanzang left, the tiger (tiger) who was beaten into the air by Taoist Chang Geng walked over leisurely, and turned into a man nine feet tall, with a thick back and a rough face, but wearing a Taoist robe.
He stepped forward, slapped his head first, and said with astonishment on his face: "I never thought that Jin Chanzi would be like this!"
Taibai Jinxing also had a look of helplessness on his face, and he said: "Perhaps the tenth reincarnation has caused some bruises to Jin Chanzi's soul!"
Bai Ehou nodded thoughtfully, while Taibai Jinxing skipped the topic and asked:
"When this calamity is over, my little friend should have attained Taiyi!"
Bai'ehou no longer thought about Xuanzang. He smiled complacently and asked, "Does Mr. Xing even appreciate this little merit?"
Taibai Jinxing said: "The little god is not a disciple of a saint. The road is difficult, and every step needs to be considered. What you get is a share, how can you choose?"
Although the person in front of me is only Jinxian Yuanquan, he is a third-generation disciple of Jiejiao and the youngest disciple of Jinling Holy Mother. He is taking advantage of his journey to the west to gain merit.
The Holy Mother of the Golden Spirit is the perfect existence of the quasi-sage, and she practices the way of swordsmanship, which is the way of swordsmanship that reaches the heavens and breaks all laws with one sword, and goes forward indomitably.
Who doesn’t know that although the headmaster of Jiejiao is Taoist Duobao, the person responsible for combat power is the Holy Mother of the Golden Spirit!
As a young apprentice, the Bai'ehou was the most favored by the Holy Mother of the Golden Spirit. Therefore, he grew up in the cradle, and the uncles and uncles around him were at least Daluo, so he no longer had any fear of the strong.
Fortunately, Taibai Jinxing is usually easy to talk to, and is a well-known good person in heaven. He will not fight over words, and the two of them get along happily.
The three Taoists of Xuanmen have great achievements, and ordinary second-generation disciples and even third-generation disciples do not look down upon the merits of this journey to the west.
Only those under Da Luo, or those who are about to behead Da Luo's corpse, will come to measure the calamity. The former is to enlighten Da Luo, and the latter is to kill the good corpse.
After the two chatted for a while, they left separately, one went to heaven and the other went to Jin'ao Island.
But it is said that after Xuanzang escaped from the tiger's mouth, he followed the route and soon came out of Shuangcha Ridge and saw a mountain that was like the palm of a living being.
At this time, Sun Wukong also saw Xuanzang, and he shouted:
"That master came from the Tang Dynasty in the East and went to the West to worship Buddha and seek scriptures?"
Xuanzang was shocked. He didn't see Sun Wukong at all. He just thought it was some practitioner asking him!
Thinking about it, going to the West is not a shameful thing, so he replied: "Exactly! I wonder which senior is here?"
The monkey smiled and said: "You go forward, there is a mountain shaped like a palm and surrounded by five elements. If you come here, you can see me!"
Xuanzang was shocked. The words of advice from Taoist Chang Geng were still ringing in his ears. There was a big demon here, and he was suppressed by the Buddha under the Five Elements Mountain!
So, he pretended not to hear, walked in a hurry, and got further away from the Five Elements Mountain.
When the monkey with his golden eyes saw this, he couldn't help being happy. He shouted loudly:
"Master, why are you running away! The Golden Light Bodhisattva asked me to wait here. He said that there was a monk from the Tang Dynasty in the East who was going to the West to worship Buddha and seek scriptures. He asked me, Sun, to protect him! It must be you! "
Xuanzang stopped, hesitant, and thought to himself:
"If what this demon king said is false, then how did he know that the Bodhisattva had enlightened me? Then it is true."
"That's right, the journey to the west is extremely difficult and dangerous. I believe this demon king is really enlightened by the Bodhisattva and sent to protect me!"
For a moment, Xuanzang felt grateful to the Golden Light Bodhisattva, but also looked forward to the demon king in front of him. I wonder what he looked like?
He stepped forward, with magical power under his feet. He took several long strides and walked to the foot of Five Elements Mountain.
The only monkey I saw was pressed under the Five Elements Mountain, with only a monkey head and two arms exposed. The golden hair looked particularly beautiful. There were uneaten fruits on the plate in front of him, and a jade volume next to it exuded a gleaming light. Baoguang.
Xuanzang looked at Sun Wukong, and Sun Wukong also looked at Xuanzang. One person and one monkey looked at each other, with different thoughts. In the end, the monkey spoke first:
"You go up from here. On the top of the Five Elements Mountain, there is a Buddha's verse, which is written with the six-character mantra of Om Mani Pad Hum. Take it off. Then you step back and I, the old grandson, will come out!"
Tang Monk said "Oh" blankly, and then jumped up, leaping a hundred feet, crossing several times in a row, and reached the top of the mountain.
Sure enough, there is a golden Buddha verse affixed to it, emitting a faint Buddha light, and a vast and upright aura circulates, suppressing all demons.
Tang Seng Fu Ling's heart came, and he sat cross-legged in front of the Buddha's gatha and began to recite Buddhist scriptures.
As his murmur sounded, the golden Buddha light on the Buddha's verse became brighter and brighter. Gradually, chanting sounds sounded from all directions, echoing Tang Monk.
The Buddha's verse also broke away automatically, turning into a golden light and disappearing.
As the Buddhist verse disappeared, the monkey eating peaches at the foot of the mountain suddenly felt relaxed, and the violent power of the Five Elements on the Five Elements Mountain also disappeared, as if it were an ordinary mountain.
"Stay back, I'll come out now!"
Xuanzang was very obedient. He took a few more steps and used his magical powers. In a few steps, he was thousands of miles away.
The monkey put away the jade book and fruit in front of him, straightened his back, and shone golden lights all over his body, like an unrivaled god and demon, and the surrounding rocks were cracked.
"boom!"
With a loud noise, Sun Wukong broke free, and the Five Elements Mountain turned into rubble and flew everywhere. Stones as big as millstones even flew to Xuanzang's head, and were blocked by his protective golden light. The smoke and dust disappeared, and all that was seen was a giant ape with golden hair shining all over its body and two fangs flashing with cold light. It appeared on the spot, and its fairy aura shot straight into the sky, tearing apart the white clouds.
The monkey's body flashed and turned into its true form, appearing in front of Tang Seng in an instant. Only then did Tang Seng see the monkey's whole face.
He was not tall, only reaching his chest. He had outgrown fangs, a furry face and a thunderous mouth, giving him a ferocious look.
"Are you enlightened by the Bodhisattva?" Tang Seng asked.
The monkey chuckled twice and said: "Some time ago, Golden Light Bodhisattva came to Five Elements Mountain and told me that I would protect you from going to the West to obtain scriptures!"
Xuanzang thought in his heart: "Since he was suppressed by the Buddha, this monkey must have done something wrong back then. The Bodhisattva asked him to protect me, so he also wanted me to influence him!"
Therefore, Xuanzang looked compassionate and determined between life and death. His whole body exuded an aura of peace, and his eyes were filled with the light of wisdom. He said:
"Since you call me master and follow me on this journey, how about I give you a name?"
In ancient times, giving a person a true name meant completely accepting him or her and taking him into his sect.
This is why, whether it is Buddhism or Taoism, after accepting disciples, they must be given a Dharma title.
Sun Wukong was stunned. His eyes were filled with vicissitudes of life and he looked a little lonely.
It seems that I have returned to Fangcun Lingtai Mountain again, the kind and majestic Master, the Taoist boy who led him up the mountain, every plant and tree on Lingtai Mountain, and the peach tree behind the mountain!
It seemed like he had returned to the time when Patriarch Subhuti gave him his true name.
He shook his head and said: "Master, my disciple already has a name, let's call him Sun Wukong!"
Hearing this, Xuanzang understood that the apprentice in front of him really had a master.
Also, how could a demon king worthy of the Buddha's personal action not have the ability to reach heaven and earth?Nature has powerful teachings.
Xuanzang didn't force it, he just smiled and said: "In that case, I will call you Wukong!"
"it is good!"
"Wukong, why are you suppressed here by Buddha?"
"Ha! Buddha, if the gods in the sky hadn't trapped me, what could the Buddha do to me?"
"Wukong, don't be disrespectful to Buddha. If you can provoke all the gods in the sky to take action, you must have caused a huge disaster!"
"It's nothing, it's just making trouble in the Dragon Palace, breaking into the underworld, drawing the book of life and death, and causing havoc in the Heavenly Palace!"
"Heavenly Palace? That is the ruler of the six realms, an existence that countless monks in the world yearn for. You actually have the ability to cause trouble in the Heavenly Palace. You really have great magical powers!"
"Then, who is my old grandson?"
"Then have you met Buddha?"
"I've seen it!"
……
"Is that Erlang Xiansheng Zhenjun really powerful?"
"Is that he is great or you are great!"
"To shut up!"
Sun Wukong finally broke out. He really didn't expect that this was what the Golden Light Bodhisattva asked him to protect.
Sun Wukong is also a good dancer, he likes to make friends, and he is the most talkative. When he first chatted with Xuanzang, he was still very friendly.
But as time went by, Tang Seng seemed to have taken the wrong medicine. He became a chatterbox and became impatient with him.
Hearing Sun Wukong's roar, Tang Monk finally stopped talking.
It is normal to say that after Xuanzang left the realm of the Tang Dynasty, he did not even have a companion along the way, walking alone by himself.
Finally, he met Taibaijinxing, but Taibaijinxing couldn't stand him and ran away early, so he could only catch the monkey and torture him.
Tang Monk stopped talking. One person and one monkey cast long shadows on the wasteland. The picture seemed to have an inexplicable sense of harmony.
Without Tang Seng's torture, and Tang Seng is also a monk, his pace is naturally not slow. Although it is not as fast as Sun Wukong, it is still much faster than ordinary people.
One person and one monkey walked very fast, and soon they met a family. From a distance, they saw traces of the spirit gathering array. The monkeys didn't care, but Xuanzang needed to meditate to restore his spiritual energy.
So, the two decided to stay at this family's house for one night.
Opening the door, the owner of the house saw Tang Seng first. After listening to Tang Seng's explanation, the owner was very generous and directly invited the two of them into the house.
I wasn’t surprised to see monkeys, they looked like they were used to them.
These days, who among those with a little bit of cultivation wouldn’t keep two spirit beast pets for fun?
Obviously, our Monkey King, Monkey King, is treated as a pet!
They stayed silent all night. On the second day, the two continued their journey and met six bandits on the way. They made a living by robbing other people's spiritual resources, and were beaten to death by monkeys one by one with a stick.
At that time, the first conflict broke out between the master and the disciple.
Sun Wukong can naturally see that these six robbers are his six sense organs. They are called eyes to see joy, ears to hear anger, nose to smell love, tongue to taste thought, opinion to desire, and body to be worried.
This is what the so-called six impure roots are like.
It can also be said that these six are his inner demons, and subduing them is also part of the spiritual path.
But Xuanzang didn't know that these six calamities were the fallen sons of the demon world. Even though the monk had some cultivation, how could he see this!
So the two had a quarrel, and Sun Wukong left angrily.
After Sun Wukong left, Xuanzang returned to the time when he was walking alone.
One day, while he was meditating on a piece of bluestone, Golden Light Bodhisattva suddenly appeared and asked:
"Xuan Zang, where is your disciple?"
Xuanzang bowed respectfully, and then told Jin Guang the whole story of the future, Jin Guang smiled and said:
"That monkey made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace back then. He was an unruly madman and naturally refused to obey discipline. I have a way to control him!"
Xuanzang was overjoyed when he heard this. He bowed again and said, "Please show me the Bodhisattva!"
"I have a tight band. You can try to put it on that monkey. I will teach you a formula. If he disobeys discipline, you can recite the formula and discipline him to obey!"
Xuanzang hesitated after hearing this. He remembered the days he spent with the monkey during this period. He thought for a moment, shook his head slowly, and said firmly:
"Bodhisattva, the disciple is his master. Any faults he makes will naturally be borne by the disciple. If he refuses to obey the discipline, it should be because the disciple's teachings are not strict and he is imprisoned by external force. I'm sorry for the disciple's difficulty in obeying his orders!"
