Chapter 517: Unexpected Airport Pick-up Group

Chapter 517: Unexpected Airport Pick-up Group
After spending a day and a half in Spring City, Chen Shuting gained the goodwill of dozens of agents, and Bian Lang also made dozens of "friends", then they rushed to Guangdong Province to participate in the recording there.

Originally, New Pants and Huang Wei were working together, so Bian Lang could go alone to join them.

But in the episode "Repay a Lifetime", Guangdong Provincial TV station kept pestering the Rolling Stones to come over and sing a Cantonese song.

In the end, they used Dong Shuxian's emotional card, so the Rolling Stones couldn't push it anymore, so they had to come together.

On the same flight as the Rolling Stones were two other idols who were also participating in the recording, but they were in business class and did not meet the Rolling Stones who were in economy class.

But no one expected that when the Rolling Stones got off the plane and just stepped onto the jet bridge, a ground staff member came to inform them: "Hello, Mr. Bian, your fans have organized a pick-up, but we have arranged for you to go to the exit of the VIP vehicle channel."

Hearing this, even Chen Shuting was really surprised.

After all, the Rolling Stones were not very particular about traveling. As long as they sat together, they had no requirement to sit in business class.

Because once when they went to BJ, Bian Lang and Di Li flew business class, and the people in the front row were a successful man and a young girl.

During the trip, I complained about Yunnan Province. I said that there were too many people in Xishuangbanna and the food was not accustomed to them. I also went to several popular scenic spots, which were all full of people from the three northeastern provinces.

The successful person said that she did not come at the right time, and that he had been in Yunnan for several years, and that he would be responsible for receiving her next time. He also said that the people in Yunnan were too stupid and did not know how to make money...

Bian Lang was quite annoyed by people like this, so he stopped using VIP later on. Occasionally, when he met a few fans who wanted autographs or photos with him, Bian Lang would never refuse.

So this is the first time I have encountered a VIP channel pick-up at the airport.

"I wonder how many of them there are?"

Facing Chen Shuting's question, the ground staff hesitated for a moment before pulling out a Gunners scarf and a marker from his uniform and asking Bian Lang to sign: "Brother Lang, long live Arsenal and the Rolling Stones!"

"Hey, aren't you afraid that I will complain to you?"

"You're not that actor from that island country. A rock musician wouldn't do such a thing!"

Bian Lang smiled and signed for him, then asked again: "How many people are there outside to pick you up?"

Then he said hesitantly, "This activity has been reported to the ground staff. We don't know exactly how many people there are. You will know when you go out."

Looking at the expressions of Bian Lang and the others, they really didn't know about it beforehand, so he didn't mention anything else at all.

He is a fan of the Rolling Stones and the Gunners. When he heard about the airport pick-up yesterday, he was a little disappointed and thought: "Why are the Rolling Stones doing this? They are organizing a airport pick-up for fans. They have no rock spirit at all."

Later he found out that it was not the case at all. The people who came to pick him up at the airport were of mixed composition, including music fans, football fans, fans and passers-by!
It is easy for music fans to understand. After all, the Rolling Stones are now mainly active in Yunnan Province and BJ, and have very few opportunities to come to Guangdong Province.

It is easy to understand for Gunners fans, as their recent winning streak has continued unabated, and the Gunners have not lost since "The Angel" became the fans' new favourite.

This kind of thing is definitely the most face-saving for every Chinese gun fan! It is reasonable to come and "worship" the real God.

But he was really confused by the ordinary passers-by fans, and these passers-by were not the age of the main star-chasing force. Many of them were in their 30s and 40s.

Later I found out that these people have one thing in common: they are all loyal fans of Cantonese songs.

However, this category of Chinese music, which once had a huge market in the Chinese music scene and swept the Southeast Asian entertainment industry, is now only slightly better than rock music. However, it is still basically supported by those classic old songs from more than ten or twenty years ago.
Those music fans in the Greater Bay Area who are deeply influenced by the regional culture have a kind of sentimental love for Cantonese songs that they cannot give up. People who have not lived in that environment may not be able to fully appreciate the charm of Cantonese songs, which are nurtured by the cultural heritage of the nine tones and six tunes.

But if you think about it too deeply, you may never get out of it.

One of the cool things about Cantonese is that it can be used to directly translate English songs. The nine tones and six tunes of Cantonese can easily match any musical melody.

It can be sung by literal translation without changing the tune or pronunciation, which is impossible with Mandarin Chinese.

For example, Uncle Ya's "We Will Rock You"
The Chinese translation of the first paragraph is:
Man you're a loud kid, playing in the streets, hoping to be somebody someday. You're all dirty and messy, kicking the tin can around, sing loud, we're gonna rock you, we're gonna rock you...

If you listen to the original song at this moment and sing it using this translation, even if you can do it, you will find it not only difficult to sing, but even Jay Chou will find it difficult to pronounce the words effectively, and the song will not have any beauty when it is sung.

But the direct translation into Cantonese is different:

"The handsome guy can only talk nonsense, the little guy, go to the street to play, there is always a big guy with a beard, dirty and old, looking very ugly, playing with drink cans on the street until sunset, sing! Let's shake our hearts together, shake our hearts together..."

If you are familiar with the original song and Cantonese, just recall the melody and you will definitely be able to sing the feeling of the original song by following this passage of lyrics.

However, even though this is such a magical Chinese language, there have not been any particularly popular works in the past decade or so.

But going back further, starting from the 80s, there would be one or even several hit Cantonese songs every year.

The same is true for the original Earth.

In the 80s song "The Bund", Frances Sylvia sang the line "The waves are running, the waves are flowing, the vast river is surging and never stops." Even if the time point before the waves traveled back in time is considered, the popularity of the song is definitely national level.

In the 83 film "The Heart of Iron and Blood", Roman Tam and Jenny Tseng sang the tortuous song "Even after going through countless hardships, the heart is still filled with gratitude and loyalty!" I don't know how much chivalry and tenderness they expressed.

The voice of Teresa Teng in "Walking on the Road of Life" from 83 seems to still linger in my ears: "I still wish to believe that the beautiful scenery and good times are at my feet, and I wish to use laughter to cover up the pain."

Danny Chan, who also went to heaven, sang in the same year: "Love and affection are gone, love and affection are gone, why do I still like you?"

There are so many later works such as "Love Across Thousands of Mountains and Rivers", "Thousands of Songs", "Glory Days", etc. If I were to cite such examples, the content of one or two chapters would be too casual, so I won't go into details.

And the Cantonese songs released by Bian Lang in the past six months, whether they were "Cold Rainy Night" and "No More Hesitation" sung by himself, or "Red Sun" that he gave away, they are all works from the original Earth classic series.

As for the recent song "Repay a Lifetime", although its popularity and influence in the original Earth are far less than that of "Hai Guang is Really Great", its catchyness and the intention of the lyrics are unquestionable.

Many passers-by fans in the Cantonese-speaking area, especially male fans with elderly parents and young children, were even more touched after listening to the song. So when they saw someone organizing a pick-up at the airport, they also wanted to take advantage of their young age to satisfy their star-chasing addiction.

Moreover, the way these people act is totally different from those confusing and annoying behaviors of students and idol fans.

A big brother relied on his social connections to go through the activity reporting process at the airport police station, and with this move he completely controlled the initiators.

They are not professional either, they are just blindly organized by the fans of those idols. However, I feel that the operation of this big brother is a hundred times more formal than those of those brainless fans.

After receiving the notification from the airport police station, the ground staff figured out a way to report it, and it was approved.

So even though he knew that nearly 500 people came today, he just didn't say it, wanting to leave this surprise for Bian Lang to discover on his own.

Bian Lang thought that the connection between their departments was not tight, so he did not continue to ask. Then he said to his brothers based on his imagination: "I estimate that there will be about a hundred people. When the time comes, we will all get off the car and greet them seriously before leaving!"

The brothers had no objection, and Dayong even joked: "We are a lot of Rolling Stones. If there are a hundred or so fans, it won't take much time to sign autographs for them all."

But the moment they got in the nanny car and came out of the VIP channel, every one of the Rolling Stones was thrown into disarray.

As soon as their car stopped, the 500 people began to sing in unison under the leadership of the leader: "Oh... I have my own stories in my heart, and I wrote down every loss, tear, sorrow and dream by myself..."

This was the first time that Bian Lang had seen such a scene in his two lifetimes. He was moved by the mixture of various emotions.

Especially when his eyes swept over those fans who were older than him, he felt that all the efforts he had made in his life were worth it!

At this moment, he even felt that the Golden Melody Awards and the Grammy Awards were not as important as the recognition of the music of the Original Earth by such a group of music fans.

After being in a daze for a moment, Bian Lang came to his senses and called out to the other band members who were also a little dazed, and took photos with the members who were waiting to pick them up on both sides of the road.

None of the members who came to pick up the plane did anything beyond the one-meter barrier. They all followed the staff's instructions and stood outside the one-meter barrier to take the group photo.

Then Bian Lang and all the members of the Rolling Stones bowed to the fans to express their gratitude.

But during the three or five minutes of delay, two more nanny cars came out from behind.

On the car were two idols who were on the same flight as the Rolling Stones.

As soon as the car stopped, the male idol in the car in front felt something was different.

Looking forward from the back seat, he exclaimed "Good guy"!
With a smile on her face, she complained to her assistant, "Why didn't you tell me in advance so I could prepare a little... Master, please stop for a while after the car in front leaves. I'll put on some lip gloss..."

The driver wasn't quite sure of the situation, and there were three cars in front of Bian Lang and his crew blocking their view. He instinctively thought that those people outside to pick them up were really coming for the person in his car.

"Okay, just tell me when you're ready!"

The assistant in the passenger seat turned around and looked at the agent. From the confused expressions on their faces and the agent's slightly shaking head, it could be judged that it was not that they forgot to inform their artist, but that they had not prepared for this at all.

The agent paused for a moment before slowly speaking: "Jiang Tao, don't get out of the car yet. I'll get off first to see what's going on."

The female idol in the car behind was quite calm. She rolled down the window and took a look. Just then she saw the manager of the car in front get out. She smiled playfully and said, "Who do you think those people in the front are here to pick up? Could it be that Jiang Tao's fans mistook the car for some Fortune 500 executive and blocked the car in front?"

The agent laughed when he heard this: "Xiao Man, you shouldn't be in this circle with your mouth. You should go to Wang Yunfei and learn from him. Who knows, he will be more popular than you are now!"

"Really? But I've never seen a female comedian before!"

"Yes, but only a few. If you really want to develop in this direction, I can arrange it for you!"

The agent spoke seriously, and Fu Zhiman also responded seriously: "Then you have to accompany me and be my supporting actor!"

The front-row assistant didn't have the same good attitude as these two. She felt that if it was really Jiang Tao's fans who came to pick her up at the airport, and some entertainment reporter accidentally took a photo of her sister Xiaoman, wouldn't that be very embarrassing?

"Sister Xiaoman, should we go back and wait for a while? Master, are there other exit doors here?"

The manager and Fu Zhiman could of course hear what the assistant was thinking, and they both waved their hands indifferently. Then the manager said, "You are still too young. What your sister Xiaoman said just now was just a sarcastic remark. How could those people in front be here to pick up Jiang Tao?

If it's true, they showed off when they got off the plane just now. If there is no team organization, this kind of scene would not happen. I just don't know who is the real boss?"

After the agent said that, the assistant suddenly realized, "Then his agent was photographed, right?"

"Who knows? As long as he doesn't run off on his own, there shouldn't be any problem."

Just as he finished speaking, he saw Jiang Tao's agent walking back to the nanny car with a very unhappy look on his face, and the car in front also showed signs of moving.

As soon as the agent got in the car, Jiang Tao asked, "What's going on? This is organized by the Guangdong Province Fan Club. Are they going to give us a surprise?"

The agent shook his head and said, "No, they are not here to pick us up. Master, please don't move for a while. Wait until the car in front is a little further away, then step on the accelerator and try not to be photographed."

Jiang Tao felt like he was getting angry when he heard this, and his sarcastic tone came out: "Such a big scene, how much money did they spend to hire passers-by to come here to perform? I have to go down and take a look!" After saying that, Jiang Tao opened the car door and got out.

Then he vaguely saw a long-haired head sticking out of the side window of the front car, waving goodbye to the airport pickup staff on the roadside.

At the same time, a uniform shout suddenly broke out from the entrance of the passage:
“I wish the Rolling Stones a platinum album in March, a diamond album in half a year, and a world tour soon!”

“I hope Bian Ah Sheng can reach new heights and sing more Cantonese songs!”
