When debating scriptures, generally speaking, there are usually five Dharma seats next to the tree.

Sitting on it were the abbot of the temple, the dean of the college, the dean of the precepts academy, the leading sutra teacher and a sutra teacher.

Because the dean of the academy and the presiding venerable are the same person, the temple only has four thrones.

The four monks will each ask questions.

As long as you pass these four monks.

You can obtain the degree of "good knowledge", practice "impassion", and perform "empowerment" and "generosity".

In other words, you can formally visualize and recite mantras, be called a guru, and wear red monk robes, go to some small temples, and obtain the status of a Buddhist altar.
