Chapter 583 Postscript Xuande

Chapter 583 Postscript: Xuande (2)

"It seems that your grandfather is not omniscient and omnipotent..."

In the side hall of Wuying Palace, Zhu Zhanhe and Zhu Qiyue sat on chairs. Zhu Zhanhe took the lead and said calmly:

"Timur's Ulugh Beg followed your grandfather's example and implemented new policies. The country's strength did not weaken and become turbulent as your grandfather had imagined. Instead, it prospered."

"The Kipchak Empire is indeed divided as your grandfather envisioned, but judging from the situation, it will take at least ten more years."

Shah Rukh died a year earlier than Zhu Gaoxu, but his son Ulugh Beg was influenced by the Ming Dynasty and learned from it, implementing new policies and sinicization to reform internal conflicts.

During the ten years of Xuande, he used political and military means to resolve several opponents, making the Timurid Empire's national strength grow rapidly.

During this period, Zhu Zhanhe also used his means to make the White Sheep Dynasty and the Black Sheep Dynasty fight against the Timurid Empire. However, Ulugh Beg had a corps of 100,000 musket shooters and 100,000 armored cavalry archers, so the interference operations of the White Sheep Dynasty and the Black Sheep Dynasty against the Timurid Empire did not go smoothly.

Thanks to the diligent efforts of Shah Rukh and Ulugh Beg, the Timurid Empire has now developed into a country with a population of more than 30 million, an army of more than 300,000, and a treasury of about 15 million strings of Ming Dynasty Tongbao currency.

In terms of strength alone, the Timurid Empire is definitely the number one among the 77 vassal states of the Ming Dynasty. Even Japan, Korea, Siam and other countries have to rank behind it.

Zhu Zhanhe was naturally not used to such a vassal state, especially when this vassal state gradually slipped out of his control, he even had the idea of destroying it.

"More than ten years is enough time for the navy to develop well."

Zhu Qiyue knew what his father was thinking, and he also wanted to lead his army personally to destroy the remaining Mongolian forces in the Mongol Empire.

This idea was shelved earlier because the railway had not yet been built. Now that the Central Henan Railway has been completed, as long as the time is right, we can send troops to conquer the enemy.

Thinking of this, Zhu Qiyue took the initiative to speak:

"Ulugh Beg is now fifty-six. He can't stand it for much longer. Even if he can, his son can't stand it."

"What the court needs to do now is to mobilize supplies to various prefectures in Hezhong for storage. Once the Timurid Empire takes action against the small countries that were split off from the Golden Horde in the north, we can take action against the Timurid Empire in the name of protecting our vassal states."

"In this way, we will occupy a high position in terms of morality and reputation, and it will not be a problem to conquer the Timurid Empire."

"But what I am more worried about is the Indian side."

"After all, India is the largest commodity market for the imperial court. Except for Bangkara, all other countries in the country are boycotting the imperial court's products, which the imperial court cannot tolerate."

"At this critical moment, we still need to send troops to teach a lesson."

"If the imperial court takes a step back, the other vassal states will probably have their own ideas and further challenge the imperial court's authority."

Zhu Qiyue's eyes flashed with ferocity, but Zhu Zhanhe agreed: "You should handle this matter well, and keep a close eye on Yu Qian and Zhang Mengcun."

"Now, in addition to the treasury, there are more than 9 million taels of gold, and the rest of the treasury only has more than 23 million strings of cash available."

"In recent years, the imperial court has spent all its money and grain inside the Great Wall, and the people outside the Great Wall are already extremely dissatisfied. If the imperial court does not support the people outside the Great Wall, I am afraid that the people outside the Great Wall will gradually flee south."

"The Imperial Astronomical Observatory also said that the temperature has dropped by 0.1 degrees in the past ten years. I'm afraid it will become increasingly difficult to survive in the north. With the existing manpower and agricultural output, if we don't support the people outside the Great Wall, the people outside the Great Wall will inevitably migrate south."

"Go to the Imperial College for me in a few days to see when the internal combustion engine can be developed. The area outside the Great Wall is the granary of the capital, and we must not let anything go wrong."

Zhu Zhanhe gave a serious instruction and Zhu Qiyue nodded, "Don't worry, father. I know what to do."

"I'm relieved to leave the matter to you. Your grandmother has been in poor health these days, so you will be in charge of the Wuying Palace."

Zhu Zhanhe sighed and mentioned the health problem of his mother Guo Yan. Zhu Qiyue nodded and said:
"Father, just go and take care of grandma. I have my own ways to do it."

The conversation between the father and son gradually shifted from court affairs to family affairs, but compared to them, Yu Qian and Lu Yu began to argue at this moment.

"Tingyi, you'd better not get involved in this mess!"

Lu Yu stopped Yu Qian in the square outside the Wuying Palace. This was not in line with his way of dealing with people, but Yu Qian was his friend for many years after all, and he would feel uncomfortable if he did not stop him.

Faced with the obstruction, Yu Qian stopped, turned around and looked at his good friend with a frown.

Lu Yu walked up to him, pulled him to the shade under the city wall, and said in a serious tone: "Do you really not know, or do you want to drag me into this mess?"

"I only know that the court is seriously overstaffed, and wars could break out in the west and on the sea at any time. Solving the overstaffing problem is urgent!"

Yu Qian and Lu Yu looked at each other, without any sign of concession in their tone.

"The Wang Party is so powerful that neither you nor I can resist it. Listen to my advice and hand over this mission to Zhang Mengcun in a few days on the pretext of illness."

"Wang Hui is sensible. He knows that the court needs to increase revenue and reduce expenditure. Zhang Mengcun organized the national inspection, which saved you and me a lot of trouble."

With his hands behind his back, Lu Yu explained in person how Yu Qian could get the credit while escaping.

However, during this process, Yu Qian stared at Lu Yu blankly, and finally said, "Let Wang's party investigate Wang's party themselves?"

"Jiangnan is not the territory of the royal party." Lu Yu frowned and said:

"Although the Three Yangs are dead, Wang Zhi, Chen Xun and their group are still here."

"Half of the officials in Jiangnan are officials. It's better to let Zhang Mengcun deal with them than for us to get involved..."

Before Lu Yu finished speaking, Yu Qian said coldly:
"I don't want to sit back and watch the fire, and I don't think Zhang Mengcun has the courage to investigate Jiangnan thoroughly!"

"You insist on getting involved?" Lu Yu's tone was filled with emotion, an emotion that shouldn't exist for someone in his position.

"What do you mean by getting involved?" Yu Qian asked him, then turned around and said:

“Something has to be done by someone.”

He raised his legs and walked out. Lu Yu looked at his back and couldn't bear it.

It is no longer the Hongxi period. Although the current emperor still has a strong control over the court, he is not that emperor after all.

If a major case is launched and concluded, the court and the world will benefit, but it is hard to say for the person in charge of the case...

Lu Yu still wanted to stop Yu Qian, but he finally didn't make up his mind.

It is true that Yu Qian is his good friend, but the life he has now achieved through hard work is not easy to come by.

He cannot get involved in the muddy water of the Beijing inspection. Even if he is standing on the shore and watching, he needs to be vigilant at all times.

Besides, only by standing on the shore could he help Yu Qian at the critical moment.

With a long sigh, Lu Yu turned around and walked back to Wuying Palace, his steps heavy...

On the first day of July in the tenth year of Xuande, the "Da Ming Daily" announced a nationwide inspection, with Yu Qian, the Left Censor-in-Chief of the Censorate, as the chief officer and Zhang Mengcun, the Right Censor-in-Chief, as the deputy officer. They commanded more than 30,000 officials from five government offices, including the Censorate, the Ministry of Justice, the Dali Temple, the Embroidered Uniform Guard, and the Western Factory, to conduct the inspection.

More than twenty years of peace had made many officials lose their vigilance. Therefore, when the imperial inspection was launched, and carried out with such strictness as to raise major cases, many people were caught off guard.

Yu Qian's seriousness came in handy at this time. For him, no matter how high or low the official's position was, or how powerful his influence was, as long as the source of his property could not be explained clearly, he would sentence these officials according to the "Ming Dynasty Law".

In fact, he could have detained the officials and waited for the emperor's decision, or handed over the officials and evidence of their crimes to the Ministry of Justice and left the conviction to the emperor and the six ministries. However, he did not do so.

He knew very well that the money and grain available to the imperial court were not enough to drive the rapid development of the new policy, and the overseas vassals also had their own ideas.

The imperial court needs money and food, and enough money and food.

Ever since the death of Emperor Shizong Wu, few officials have dared to get to the bottom of the matter, and the reason is simple... everyone is tired.

After 78 years of high pressure during the Hongwu, Yongle and Hongxi dynasties, the officials felt exhausted.

It is precisely because of this that no major cases occurred during the ten years of the Xuande reign.

However, this did not mean that the emperor was compromising with his ministers, but that the emperor wanted to take action when the time was right.

Now the time to act has come, but many people dare not act, so the emperor chose himself.

The people in the temple dare not do things, only he, Yu Qian, can do it...

"Yu Tingyi! You will not die well!!"

"Your Majesty! I am wronged!"

"Execution—"

As the sound of execution rang out and accompanied by the sound of "puff", a huge head fell to the execution platform outside the Jiangdong Gate of Nanjing City.

The bloody scene was unacceptable to many onlookers, and sounds of vomiting were heard one after another.

However, facing the people's embarrassment, Yu Qian sat on the high platform with a calm expression, picked up the gavel and slammed it down hard.

"continue……"

"Snapped--"

On the sixth day of the seventh month in the tenth year of the Xuande reign, Yu Qian opened the prelude to the "Yi Hai Case" with the lives of 167 officials and 732 clerks in Nanjing.

More than 30,000 officials from the Five Departments began to conduct inspections from Nanjing to other places. The inspections were so strict that officials were afraid to ride in carriages and could only walk to the yamen to do their work, for fear that people would think they had embezzled a lot of money and grain.

But facts have proved that during the more than 20 years of peace in the Ming Dynasty, the officials below did not behave themselves as they claimed. Instead, they began to amass wealth in revenge after the death of Emperor Shiwu.

On the fifth day of August, the first month after Yu Qian arrived in Nanjing, more than 700 officials were imprisoned, and more than 3,000 clerks. The confiscated money, grain, houses, and land amounted to more than 2.4 million strings of cash after being converted into cash.

Such a large amount of proceeds from the confiscation of property made Wang Hui and others from the Six Ministries immediately realize that corruption at the grassroots level was far more serious than they had expected.

The imperial court needs money, and it is impossible for the upper echelons to fall out with each other, so they can only start from the grassroots.

The grassroots level can be abolished, which doesn’t matter, because what the Ming Dynasty lacks the least now is officials.

There had been no major cases for more than twenty years, and there were more than 1,300 Jinshi candidates waiting for official positions, and more than 24,000 Juren candidates at home.

As for officials, there is no shortage of them. Up to now, there are 34 middle schools in the Ming Dynasty, and more than 200,000 students graduate every year.

Among them, only less than one thousandth can enter the Imperial College, and the remaining nine thousandths may be able to pass the imperial examination to obtain a Jinshi seat, enter the Hanlin Academy to wait for appointment as an official, or become a Juren.

The other 99 percent basically became workers or military officers, sergeants, and clerks in the frontiers.

Whenever the imperial court released news of a civil service examination, this group of students would be enough to fill the vacancies in the civil service.

Because of this, as long as the key members are not involved, it is easy to carry out this major case.

Wang Hui, Lu Yu and others began to mobilize the Jinshi scholars waiting for appointment in the Hanlin Academy to serve as officials in local areas. At the same time, they announced that a national civil service examination would be held in October of this year, and 5,000 people would be temporarily recruited.

After the news spread, local students immediately began to prepare for the exam.

In order to avoid turmoil in the official team, Wang Hui and his team only announced a quota of 5,000 people, but the specific number of recruits was actually decided by Wang Hui and his team.

As the days passed, Yu Qian's movements became more and more serious.

From Nanjing at the beginning to the entire Nanzhili, and then to Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Shandong...

As each place was inspected by the emperor, the number of corrupt officials uncovered was staggering.

The case lasted for more than a year, and this was possible thanks to the convenient transportation provided by railways and steamships.

If it had happened during the Hongwu or Yongle reigns, it would probably have taken three to five years to close the case.

On the fourth day of the second month of the twelfth year of the Xuande reign, Yu Qian led more than 30,000 officials from the five ministries back to the capital to report and declare the case closed.

In a year and a half, 17,647 local civil servants were found to have committed crimes, nearly 30% of the entire team.

Based on these more than 7,000 civil officials, more than 3,000 military generals and meritorious officials were implicated. In addition, more than 174,600 civil servants, regardless of military or political status, and more than 24,600 merchants were found.

Thirty percent of the government officials in the country have accepted bribes, but the amount of the bribes varies.

Yu Qian's uprightness came in handy. Such a scale was not reached even in several major cases during the Hongxi period, which shows how wide the scope and intensity was.

Equally important was the money and grain earned, which far exceeded the court's expectations.

After the arrest of 220,000 officials and merchants, the seized land, houses, antiques, paintings, gold, silver, jewelry, and goods were worth more than 44,763,000 strings of cash. Although the scale of the confiscation of property was not as large as several major cases during the Hongxi period, this was also because Zhu Zhanhe pointed out that this major case involved people of the fourth rank or below.

Yu Qian wanted to investigate further, but was stopped by Zhu Zhanhe.

Such money and food were enough for Zhu Zhanhe to implement many of the policies he had in mind.

If it were someone else, they might have stopped because of the emperor's signal, but if Yu Qian stopped, he would no longer be himself.

"I, Yu Qian, the Left Censor-in-Chief, beg Your Majesty to thoroughly investigate the remaining 426 officials and meritorious officials involved in the Yi Hai case!"

Outside the Qianqing Palace, Yu Qian and more than a dozen honest officials from the Censorate knelt at the gate, holding a memorial in their hands and speaking in a tone that was neither humble nor arrogant.

In the distance, many officials sent their spies to see this scene. They were filled with hatred but did not dare to confront Yu Qian directly.

Originally, the target was the middle and lower levels, but now Yu Qian wants to take things to the middle and upper levels. Who can tolerate him?
For a time, memorials impeaching Yu Qian came in like snowflakes, piling up like a mountain on Zhu Zhanhe's desk.

"Look for yourself. These memorials are all impeaching Yu Qian."

Zhu Zhanhe stood in the Hall of Mental Cultivation in the Qianqing Palace, his hand on the pile of memorials, and shook his head.

Zhu Qiyue sat aside, watching this scene, and sighed secretly in his heart.

After all, they, father and son, are not as good as their grandfather.

"If your grandfather were still alive, he would probably investigate this case from bottom to top, but you and I can't do that."

Zhu Zhanhe admired Yu Qian very much because he saw his former self in Yu Qian.

But my old self is already dead, died on the way to the heights.

Even though he admires Yu Qian now, he cannot let Yu Qian continue to move forward.

"You have to sort out his crimes. You can't kill him, but you can't let him show up again."

Zhu Zhanhe gave an order, and Zhu Qiyue nodded, stood up, bowed, and left the Yangxin Palace.

With Zhu Qiyue's retreat, Yu Qian, who was in charge of the Yi Hai case, was imprisoned in the imperial prison by the Jinyiwei and was guarded by three layers of people inside and outside.

His actions quickly made many people in the temple understand the emperor's attitude.

Except for some officials and meritorious officials who suffered losses in the Yi Hai Case presided over by Yu Qian, who continued to submit petitions requesting that Yu Qian be punished and executed, the rest of the discerning people gave up the idea of killing Yu Qian.

In April, Wang Hui and Jiang Huai jointly submitted a petition for a new policy, hoping to take advantage of the full treasury to implement the new science and technology invented by the Imperial Academy into the military, economy, and people's livelihood.

In their memorials, Wang Hui and Jiang Huai proposed a series of policy measures in light of the current actual situation and in accordance with the will of the people of the world, meritorious officials, civil and military officials, and the royal family.

This memorial was called "Wang Weizhong's Direct Memorial". After considering the content of the memorial, Zhu Zhanhe and Zhu Qiyue approved it.

On the sixth day of May, the new policy reform was officially launched, including:

(1) Rectify the banking and financial sectors, issue 70 million guan of construction and military bonds, and open up banking lending, mortgage, investment and other businesses.

(2) He made rational adjustments to the industry of the country and formulated the Industrial Law to prevent overproduction caused by blind competition, thereby strengthening the court's control and regulation over capitalist industrial production and easing the growing class contradictions.

(3) Increase the production and subsidies of agricultural fertilizers, and provide a three-year tax-free policy for the cultivated land reclaimed by the people.

(iv) Vigorously build public works such as railways, official roads, canals, dams, etc. to ease social crises and class contradictions and increase employment.

(5) Encourage poor people to live in Dongzhou, Nanyang, Nanzhou and Beizhou, and give them 20 strings of cash per household for migration, which will be allocated after they arrive at the migration destination.

(6) People who migrate overseas are allowed to equip themselves with armor and cold weapons to protect their "cultivated lands", but are prohibited from using firearms. Violators will be punished with death...

The Thirty-Six New Policies covered all aspects of the Ming Dynasty, so it is also called the "Xuan De New Policies."

After the policy was announced, it was publicized by more than 2,300 newspapers including the Da Ming Pao and soon caused a huge response.

The imperial court, which was originally unable to maintain high investment due to insufficient money and grain, continued to implement the new policy because of the seized money and grain.

With the allocation of money and grain, the originally weak industries began to flourish.

Light and heavy industries such as shipbuilding, metallurgy, railways, trains, bicycles, rubber, textiles, cotton, tea, pottery, etc. began to absorb a large number of people and create a large number of jobs.

At the same time, the army recruited 120,000 young soldiers and conscripted them in less than three months.

There is no doubt that Ming Dynasty's education is top-notch in the world. However, compared with the more than five million primary and secondary school graduates each year, Ming Dynasty's basic jobs are simply unable to meet the needs of such a large number of graduates.

The only places that can liberate them are the vast South Pacific, South Asia, North Asia and other regions.

If the direction is chosen right, we only need to grasp the details to greatly alleviate the current contradictions, which is the case with the Xuande New Deal.

After the road permit system was further relaxed, the people, in order to make a living, started a series of activities such as going to Southeast Asia, South Continent, East Continent, North Continent, etc.

According to statistics, from the 12th year of Xuande to the 18th year of Xuande, more than 7.6 million strings of cash were distributed for migration expenses, which means that at least 380,000 households chose to migrate overseas, with at least 1.5 million people.

However, in just six years, relying on the migration costs and the spontaneity of the people, more than 1.5 million people migrated overseas.

Including the garrisons organized by Zhu Zhanhe, the Ming Dynasty migrated more than two million people to the west and overseas in less than eight years. The domestic cultivated land area exceeded 860 million mu, and the population also increased day by day.

Since this new policy was promoted by Wang Hui and Jiang Huai, their reputations also reached their peak during this period.

At the same time, during this period, many old ministers from the Hongxi period began to gradually die.

In the 13th year of Xuande, Yishiha, the former eunuch who held the seal of the Imperial Household Department, died at the age of 85. Zhu Zhanhe granted him a burial in the Shiling Mausoleum.

The following year, Duke of Nan Wang Xuan and Duke of Ying Fu Rang passed away and were posthumously named King of Pingnan and King of Dingnan. Their sons inherited the title of Duke and were posthumously named Zhongwu and Zhongmu. They were granted burial in Shiling and entered the Yantai of Shiling.

In the 16th year of Xuande, Wang Ji died in Beijing at the age of 84. Zhu Zhanhe posthumously conferred the title of Marquis of Jingyuan on him, and his son Wang Ying inherited the title of Earl of Jingyuan and was posthumously named Zhongwu.

In the winter of the same year, Xu Sheng, Marquis of Changchun, and Chen Chang, Marquis of Zhaozhou, died at the ages of 82 and 87 respectively.

Zhu Zhanhe posthumously conferred the title of Duke on the two men, and their sons inherited the titles. They were given the posthumous names of Zhongshun and Zhongsu, and court was suspended for three days.

In the 18th year of Xuande, Wang Rong, Chen Mao and Li Shi passed away, and their titles were inherited by their sons, who were given the posthumous titles of Wuyi, Wumu and Wushun.

In the 19th year of Xuande, Duke of Yingguo Zhang Fu died at the age of 89. He was posthumously named Zhonglie. His son inherited the title and suspended court for three days.

With the death of a large number of nobles and generals during the Hongxi period, although the Ming army increased its border and naval forces, the conflicts between the royal family and the vassal states could not be eased.

In the 20th year of Xuande, the Minister of Revenue Wang Hui and the Minister of Rites Jiang Huai died of illness while in office and were given the posthumous titles of Wen Zhong and Wen Zheng.

Upon learning the news that the two had died of illness, many people took the initiative to build temples to worship them, and Zhu Zhanhe also acquiesced to this behavior.

In March of the following year, Lu Yu died of illness while in office and was given the posthumous title of Wenzhen.

In April, Xu Shuo died of illness while in office and was posthumously named Wenxiang. Zhao Gui and others also passed away one after another.

By June of the 21st year of Xuande, the team of civil officials left by Zhu Gaoxu to Zhu Zhanhe had completely fallen, and were replaced by a new team.

In July, Zhu Zhanhe released Yu Qian and appointed him as Minister of War.

At the same time, Li Xian was appointed as the Minister of Personnel, Wang Hui's son Wang Yu was appointed as the Minister of Punishment, Wang Ao was appointed as the Minister of Revenue, Yao Kui was appointed as the Minister of Rites, and Liu Zhao was appointed as the Minister of Works.

In addition, Shang Lu, Peng Shi, Ma Wensheng and others entered the cabinet.

Although the six ministers and cabinet ministers of this period still had sufficient capabilities, their performance was obviously not as good as those during the Hongxi period and those left by Emperor Shiwu for the vassal states.

At the same time, as the Ming Dynasty was not tough in its vassal diplomacy and was tolerant in continuously developing its internal economy, many vassal states began to look down on it.

The envoys from various countries who came to Beijing to pay homage also believed that the current Ming Dynasty was far inferior to the period of Emperor Shiwu. After listening to the reports of the envoys, King Yi Yeong of Joseon even commented in the "Annals of Joseon":

"Emperor Xuande was good at civil affairs but not military achievements, and he was timid and cowardly, so his vassal states looked down on him. Only Korea was loyal and obedient, and was far inferior to the previous emperor."

"The prince is a man of both civil and military abilities, but he is not able to hold great power, and is unable to display his talents. The late emperor's legacy is not for the right people, and is far away."

Even Korea, which was close to the Ming Dynasty, made such an evaluation, not to mention Timur, Japan and other countries.

In March of the 22nd year of Xuande, news came from the Kunlun Xuanwei Office that war had broken out between Japan and Korea. Both sides deployed 30,000 troops to fight at Jinshui Lake, and the Xuanwei Office's order to cease fire was not implemented.

In early May, the Southeast Asian countries and Japan jointly launched military operations against Korea in Kunlun Island.

In the same month, a native uprising broke out in Dongzhou, with more than 200,000 natives attacking and looting many towns.

The news was delivered to Beijing one by one, and Zhu Zhanhe immediately organized a court meeting in Wuying Hall.

"Sing!"

"Long live your Majesty, long live long live..."

When the singing of the ceremony began, the 67-year-old Zhu Zhanhe sat in the main seat, with Zhu Qiyue standing in front of him.

Under the Golden Stage, Yu Qian has become a rare familiar face, while the rest of the faces are mostly strangers.

"The purpose of holding a court meeting is nothing more than the war between Kunlun Continent and Dong Continent."

"What do you think? Feel free to speak up..."

Zhu Zhanhe was a little lazy. As he grew older, he didn't care so much about state affairs.

He now has a new hobby, which is to drive a steam four-wheeled car himself.

Although this four-wheeled car could only run more than ten miles with a tank of coal and water, for Zhu Zhanhe, more than ten miles was already very good.

"Your Majesty, I request that the Lesser Western and South China Sea fleets be dispatched to Kunlun Island, and that Japan, Korea, Siam and other vassal states cease fire."

"In addition, you can issue an order to King Song and the other princes of Dongzhou to lead the royal guards to join forces with the Xuanwei Office to suppress the rebellion of the natives."

Guo Deng took the initiative to step forward and bow, then reported the rules discussed by the Six Military Commander's Office.

After hearing this, Zhu Zhanhe nodded and looked at Li Xian, the head of the six departments.

Li Xian bowed and said, "I think what Commander Guo said is very true. Besides..."

"Your Majesty, there is urgent news in the river!"

Before Li Xian could finish his words, Wang Tao appeared at the entrance of the palace.

He held an urgent report in his hand. Zhu Zhanhe's expression was slightly moved: "Read it!"

"Yes!" After receiving permission, Wang Tao opened the urgent report and read:
"Ulugh Beg, the leader of Timurid Empire, ignored the imperial court's repeated orders and led an army of 100,000 to the north to attack the Kipchak. The Kipchak asked the imperial court for help!"

"Your Majesty, I challenge you to a fight!"

When Wang Tao finished reporting the urgent news, Zhu Qiyue immediately turned around, knelt down, and bowed to ask for orders.

He had been waiting for this opportunity for more than 30 years, and finally he got it.

Zhu Zhanhe never expected that his eldest son actually wanted to go to the battlefield, but after thinking about it for a while, he seemed to think that if he could control his eldest son and let him gain military merit, it would be more convenient for him to ascend the throne in the future.

Thinking of this, Zhu Qiyue said: "Draft an edict to order the Crown Prince to control the two major military governorates of the Western Army and the Northern Army, organize the army, and stop Timur from invading the Kipchak!"

"The ministers and others lead the decree..."

Seeing that the emperor agreed, Li Xian, as a member of the prince's party, naturally could not hinder Zhu Qiyue.

Although people like Shang Lu felt that it was somewhat risky for the prince to go to the front line, they did not dare to advise him any further when they remembered that the emperor of the Ming Dynasty had been to the battlefield, and even Zhu Zhanhe had been to the battlefield in his early years.

"My son, I accept the decree!"

Zhu Qiyue was full of vigor and vitality, as if he was thirty years younger and had returned to the past when he went on the Western Expedition with his great-grandfather and grandfather.

Seeing him getting up and leaving, Zhu Zhanhe couldn't help but think of his father, and a smile gradually appeared on the corner of his mouth...
