Chapter 132: Born as a Buddhist, Buddhist in the secular world (please vote for me)
Half an hour after placing the order, there was a sudden sound of tapping on the windows in the fortress.
Luofu turned around and saw a pair of Klein blue bird eyes.
"Thanks for your hard work."
Luofu opened the window and scratched the Sky Eagle's head with his fingertips.
From its claws, take off an exquisite card holder made of gold and silver threads.
[Soft Sword, White Snake Immortal], [Hundred Transformation, Bamboo Leaf Green], the two green and white snakes are already in place.
Luofu took out several character puzzle pieces of gray and white quality from his material card bag.
They are nothing more than [drug shop shopkeeper], [Pufeng Yamen servant], and [black-hearted county magistrate].
Basically, they were picked up from Jimingfang City in Shanhai and Shenlan. The cheapest ones only cost a few dozen alliance coins.
"A 'human life' is not as expensive as a season membership of a movie and TV app. Sometimes I think about it, this time and space... is really abnormal."
Luofu gathered the cards and temporarily put these thoughts behind him.
He first picked up the identity card [Born Buddha Son], and with a lot of effort, a blood-red ribbon that was more than ten meters long quickly appeared in the living room.
Luofu leaned on the sofa very casually, lowered his head and unbuttoned the cufflinks on both sides of his shirt, exposing his two forearms, looking down at the fate of the "born Buddhist" like a god.
This illusory river of destiny is like a slide, constantly flashing, and his short but wonderful life is quickly connected by these fragments of experience:
In the eastern part of the world, in a certain dynasty, a man surnamed Qiao in Fengzhou, nicknamed "Timely Rain", worshiped the secular god "Ji Huan Farewell Buddha" for many years, and finally had a son. At the age of 46, he had the first child in his life. A child, a boy.
As soon as the child was born, many strange phenomena appeared in the Fengzhou area that stretched for three thousand miles.
The condor is flying, the rainbow bridge is crossing, flowers are falling from the sky, and golden lotuses are flowing from the ground.
A bright gold "swastika" on the back silently indicates the extraordinary nature of this child.
This member of the Qiao family can live to a ripe old age in this troubled world, so he certainly has no shortage of vision and experience.
He was very clearly aware that his child was most likely the reincarnation of a powerful being.
After thinking for a while, he simply spent a lot of money to ask the midwife to take care of him in the village.
For a period of time after the child is born, trustworthy people are asked to take good care of it to prevent anyone from associating the "swastika" mark on the child's back with the vision of that day.
Time flies and the day comes for the child’s [-]-day banquet.
A scabby monk in shabby clothes came swaying over with a smile and a broken bowl.
Qiao Yuanwai was a good-hearted monk in his life, so he invited the monk to the main hall very politely, regardless of his dirty smell.
The leprous monk remembered everything he saw and heard at Qiao's house, occasionally nodding with satisfaction.
While the banquet was in full swing, I proposed to give the young master a gift.
It was a golden lotus flower. The pure gold material with a sense of richness was difficult to associate with this poor monk.
The subsequent development of the story is very classic.
It turns out that this scabby monk is the incarnation of an eminent monk in the ancient Buddhist temple in the Imperial Capital. He came here today to accept the young master of the Qiao family, who has just passed his [-]th anniversary, as his disciple.
Seeing that Yuan Qiao is a sincere monk at heart and a sincere person, he decided to postpone the date of accepting disciples to ten years later, so that he could enjoy a few more years of family happiness.
After explaining the whole story, Lang smiled and walked away.
As soon as this incident came out, Qiao Yuan was struck by lightning.
As we all know, the secular Eastern Land and the Azure Ancient Zhuxia are very similar in all aspects, including concepts.
Under this premise, Qiao Yuanwai, as a father who came to have a son at an old age, could not accept the fate of his only child to become a monk no matter what.
But how could he, a rich country man, be a rival to the ancient Buddhist temple, the largest temple in the world?
In the blink of an eye, when Young Master Qiao was ten years old, the child, who was still tied up with his headband, ignorantly fell onto the stage of Lotus who came to "extradite" him under the cries of his parents.
Being extremely spiritual, he vaguely realized that this was probably the last time he would see his parents in the mortal world.
So, he held the edge of the lotus platform, stuck his head out, and tried his best to look down, but he only saw a vast white cloud, as if everything in the past was nothingness.
The "Leggy Monk", who showed his true appearance with kind eyebrows and kind eyes and treasured monk's robes, caressed the child's head.
He originally planned to make the other person "awaken" on the day the child gets married.
Unfortunately, there is not much time left for him.
When the true Buddha entered Nirvana, the world fell into the "disaster of stupidity and laziness" again.
The world is in urgent need of an "enlightened one", or a "new Buddha", so that the ignorant people can understand the bliss of the other side.
Can't wait any longer...
"It's a bit evil."
Seeing this, Luofu suddenly shuddered.
Under the blood-red filter, the "Ji Huan Zi Buddhist Shrine" that has been worshiped by Qiao Yuanwai's family for many years, the guests at Young Master Qiao's [-]-day banquet, the leprous monk with a good face... all reveal an unspeakable evil nature. …
Even though he was only looking down from a distance across the river of destiny, Luofu still felt that some filthy and terrifying existence was being born.
With the blessing of Brother Monkey's [Tao Body] characteristics, he is not afraid of these mental filth.
But even so, the cold and greasy feeling, like a venomous snake in a tropical rain forest slowly crawling across his skin, still made him feel uncomfortable all over.
"call."
Luofu took a deep breath and held the Roaring Dog who was napping next to him in his arms. Finally, he felt a little warmer.
Read on:
After entering the temple, young master Qiao, no, the young monk named "Guan Zhen", met many important people.
There is the majestic uncle in yellow robe, the gentle aunt with graceful temperament, and the kind master with two "white caterpillars" lying on his eyes...
Everyone around him was kind to him.
Everything is just like at home.
But the closest person to him is a senior brother who is only six or seven years older than him and whose Buddhist name is "Guan Chao".
This great-looking elder brother also has a "swastika" mark on his back, but the color is slightly darker, only light gold.
Every time this senior brother goes out, he will bring him a lot of delicious food and fun things, and also tell him about things outside.
But for some reason, many people in the temple didn't want to see this big brother.
The always tolerant Master "Pu Yu" also strictly prohibited the two of them from meeting or talking to each other.
Guan Zhen was puzzled by this, but out of the unwarranted feeling of closeness, he still met with Senior Brother Guan Chao frequently.
Fast forward to one day two years later, Senior Brother Guan Chao suddenly said many inexplicable words, such as "Everything in this world is just a dream", "My heart has been covered in dust for a long time, it should be wiped with blood", "You and my brother", "For me... "Go outside and take a look." This made Guan Zhen very confused.
At the same time, his outstanding spirituality since childhood also made him vaguely realize that this brother who treated him like a brother was probably not going to die soon. That night, he, who had always slept well, had an extremely realistic dream.
The dream scene is the most heavily guarded Sutra Pavilion in the temple.
This realm that even he rarely has the opportunity to enter has some sayings:
According to legend, thousands of years ago, a monk with great love and determination to save all sentient beings spent ten years and went through countless hardships and obstacles in order to free all sentient beings from the "scourge of stupidity and laziness", and finally obtained some mantras from the old Buddha.
After returning to the court, he recorded them one by one, and then the famous "Jiu Zang Sutra" was created.
After the sutra was written, his junior disciple, the eminent monk Pu Huo, sat cross-legged on the Guanwu Terrace in the imperial capital and lectured on the sutra for 49 days. He finally solved the world's stupidity and achieved enlightenment.
Yes, the Sutra Pavilion of this ancient Buddhist temple is where the two eminent monks compiled the scriptures.
The earliest "Nine Treasures of Ultimate Bliss Sutra", as well as the scriptures written by eminent monks in the past thousands of years, are all stored here.
In the past, every place in this pavilion was guarded by warrior monks.
Somehow in the dream, all the monks who had always performed their duties completely disappeared.
Under the dim yellow lamp, only two figures, one old and one young, were left, sitting facing each other.
In the pavilion, the extremely long red candle burned quietly.
In this extremely real dream, the little monk Guan Zhen could even hear the sound of candle tears falling slowly.
crackling—
A spark suddenly appeared in the beautifully carved lampshade.
The slightly old and rickety figure spoke the voice of Master Puyu: "My child, obsession is suffering. You and Guanzhen have the best understanding in the temple, and are most likely to reach the state of enlightenment, so why bother you?" What about self-error?”
"Master..." Senior Brother Guanchao's voice sounded, as gentle and calm as ever, "Can the Sutra... really be able to enlighten the world?"
"Haven't you been listening to the founder's allusions about seeking enlightenment and writing books to explain away the ignorance of sentient beings for more than ten years? This is what you have learned since childhood. Are you so deviant now that you even doubt these?"
"Master, this disciple was born in a village that was constantly plagued by wars. He fought with wild dogs in mass graves for food since he was a child. He has experienced suffering firsthand. He also knows more about what the people outside are going through. It's not that, it's really Can the sutra save all peoples? But why, after thousands of years have passed, are all living beings still suffering?"
"That's because they haven't heard the Buddha's message for a long time and have fallen into the disaster of ignorance and laziness. As long as one of you and your junior brother achieves true Buddhahood, you can teach the Dharma to the people and make all the souls in the world realize the bliss of the other side again. By that time , the disasters and sufferings you see will disappear."
"But this is something that all the ancestors have failed to do..."
"As born Buddhas and future enlightened beings, you two are born to do things that ordinary people cannot do. If we can't do it, you must be able to do it."
"Buddha..."
After talking to this point, Guan Chao slowly raised his head, with an inexplicable smile on his lips.
"Buddha, Buddha..."
He repeated it many times, then suddenly raised his head and said:
"The poor people in this life, after crossing the other side and returning to the pool of reincarnation, will become rich and wealthy people who have everything going smoothly in the next life; while the evil people in this life who commit murder, arson, and do all kinds of evil but enjoy all the glory and wealth will become in the next life, Six animals."
"Master, Master, are your so-called scriptures meant to warn all sentient beings to accept the sufferings of the present in exchange for the 'bliss' of the next life?"
"A mortal's life is neither long nor short. A few decades may be a moment of glory, but a moment of suffering may be better than thousands of years."
As he spoke, he pointed to the scriptures covered with a thick shadow not far away and said in a deep voice:
"These scriptures only tell the poor people that if they are willing to suffer and do not do 'evil things', they can exchange for wealth in the next life."
"But he didn't tell them that the catastrophe of the end of the Dharma has arrived, and there are not even a thousand souls that can survive the pool of past lives."
"Since there is no afterlife, why not tell those suffering people who are kind-hearted that they can steal the heads of those who are unkind in exchange for wealth in this life..."
"If the so-called mission of a Buddhist is to weave a bubble-like dream for millions of suffering people, and to be the accomplice of those tigers, wolves, and moths enjoying wealth, then the poor monk..."
"That's enough!" Pu Yu interrupted sharply, "You think you are very smart? If you can think of this level, do you still need to praise you for the teacher?!"
"Watching the tide, watching the tide, I think that as a born enlightened person, you should have led the world out of confusion with great wisdom, but you were the first to fall into the disaster of ignorance and laziness, and you dared to say such filthy words."
"Do you think we are gods and Buddhas? If you sit on the stage and open your mouth, the people will believe you and obey you? The so-called mantra of the old Buddha is actually the inner voice of the people! This is what they really need! On the contrary, people like you Thoughts are what will hurt them!”
"Baby, you're in trouble."
The old monk in red robe spoke word by word. His kind face looked slightly ferocious due to his excessive emotion. Under the dim light, it looked a bit strange and cold.
After that, the young monk defended himself loudly, but he didn't notice that his master's eyes were becoming more and more strange.
About a quarter of an hour later, the old monk suddenly stood up. The color of the new monk's robe made by the Imperial Palace Weaving House was extremely bright, as if soaked in dripping blood.
He looked at his eldest disciple for a long time, and he sighed suddenly, as if his patience had reached its end. He stepped forward, leaned close to his ear, and said in a very soft voice:
"Son, Master will teach you one last lesson.
There are two things in this world that cannot be exposed no matter what.Once it is exposed, a world-destroying flood will come and destroy everything.
Do you know what these two things are? "
The old monk's voice was cold and hoarse, with an inexplicable rhythm, like the whisper of an inner demon.
Guan Chao seemed to feel something, but his understanding was still not enough, so he had to shake his head slightly.
"Master tells you..." the old monk leaned into the young monk's ear and said, "It is the illusion of gods and Buddhas, the interests of carnivores and 'ants and mayflies'."
"You have only seen the former, but know nothing about the latter. Seeing things so one-sided, how can I safely hand over secular Buddhism to you... Watch the tide and go to retreat."
The dream came to an abrupt end here.
Guan Zhen woke up from his sleep. A few days later, he received the news that his senior brother was stabbed to death in the street by a beggar who "raises rice for kindness and fights for rice for hatred".
In this regard, he acted extremely indifferently, as if he didn't care about the death of this "stranger".
The master was quite satisfied with this, and left with only a few gentle words of advice.
Guan Zhen, who was completely "awakened", kept everything deep in his heart and practiced with peace of mind. In just three years, he became quite famous in the Imperial Capital.

Although it is a question, it is in the tone of a statement.
Guan Zhen turned his head very naturally, and the young man's clear and clean eyes were full of confusion: "Huh?"
The old monk in red robe observed expressionlessly for a while, then suddenly smiled: "My child, your cultivation level is not good enough, you are still like when you were a child, your emotions are on the surface... Go to retreat."
The story ends.
Luofu took a sip of Qingxin tea, and it took him a long time to come back to his senses.
