Chapter 1030 The Sage's Words

After Zhou Qing smiled back at them, the seven sages also turned their eyes away and stopped staring at him.

However, while the Seven Saints looked away, the immortals near Zhou Qing began to pay attention to him, either overtly or covertly, and were extremely curious about him.

How could the immortals who were closest to them not notice the gaze of the seven sages just now?

An extremely unfamiliar immortal has attracted the attention of these seven sages. This is definitely a big deal and cannot be ignored.

The immortals were all very curious at this time, and didn't understand what was so special about Zhou Qing that he deserved such treatment.

Zhou Qing gradually calmed down. It was not a bad thing that the saints were paying attention to him. Instead, it would be beneficial to his future progress.

Because of the character of the saints, as long as the fact that Zhou Qing came from the future was not exposed, the saints would have no reason to take action against him, and he would be very safe.

Be it the Four Tribulations Transcendent Immortal or the Seven Apertures Heart, they were not enough reasons for the saints to kill him.

What's more, when Wensheng meets a young man with the same talents as himself, the possibility of good things happening in the end is much greater than bad things.

Besides, the worst that can happen is running away...

"Everyone, today..."

The old man in the middle, also known as Wensheng, spoke. His voice was gentle and made people feel peaceful when they heard it.

He first said a lot of opening remarks, informing everyone that this time the seven of them would give lectures in turn, promote their ideas, and engage in debates to test their theories.

If there is anyone present who has unique insights into a certain school of thought or theory, he or she can also participate, speak up and express his or her own ideas.

Here, authority is not determined by one’s level of cultivation. Everyone is a teacher but also a student, a listener and a storyteller.

The Sage of Literature encourages everyone to think, listen more, think more and speak more, and even ordinary people can speak.

Three people, there must be my teacher Yan.

And there are more than just three people here?
There are three hundred thousand people with seats alone!

Of course, you can't just speak casually if you want to debate with the sages.

Soon the rhythm of the sages' Tao will cover the entire place. If you open your mouth, the rhythm of the sages' Tao will cover your voice first.

If the truth in your words can be recognized by the saints, then you can speak in public and discuss directly with the Seven Saints.

Otherwise, if everyone could speak without restrictions, this place would become a vegetable market and be extremely noisy.

After the lectures and debates are over, the saints will begin to explain the way of cultivation and guide everyone.

In fact, this part is what the people who come here are most looking forward to. At least most of them come here for the guidance of the saints.

It is too difficult to debate with the saints. Only a few people can do it and very few people can participate in it. Moreover, no matter what the thoughts and doctrines are, they cannot bring direct benefits.

But when the saints explain the way of cultivation and give guidance on cultivation, that is naturally different.

Perhaps by listening to just one word, one can break through the barriers and greatly improve one's strength. Strength is definitely what most practitioners value most.

Zhou Qing also knew the identities of these seven saints. They are:
Saint of literature, Saint of Taoism, Saint of benevolence, Saint of law, Saint of agriculture, Saint of reason, Saint of mathematics.

Among them, the Saint of Agriculture and the Saint of Reason were both disciples of the Saint of Literature.

As the first sage who created the Age of Saints, Wensheng has the most followers. It is not difficult to understand that new sages are born among his many disciples.

After the Sage of Literature finished speaking, the Sage of Principle was the first to speak and preach his own doctrine.

"Heavenly principles, the origin of all things, the laws of nature, the rules of civilization..."

When sages speak and preach their teachings, that is certainly extraordinary.

The rhyme of the sages' teachings spreads, and even an illiterate fool can accurately understand the meaning of every word of the sage.

The Sage of Li uttered holy words and various visions appeared, which echoed his teachings. It can be said that his teachings were explained with pictures and texts, which was very vivid.

A "world" of "Heavenly Principle" evolved above the Sage of Principle, allowing everyone to see what the perfect world as believed in the Sage of Principle's doctrine is like.

Everyone present was immersed in it, wandering in the ocean of the Sage's teachings. Unless they were extremely averse to such teachings, they would feel unprecedented peace.

After listening for a while, Zhou Qing gradually understood the core idea of Lisheng's doctrine.

This sage believed that the principles of heaven are the source of all things and the standard for everything.

Whether it is the natural world or the civilization of living beings, they all develop under the order of "heavenly principles".

Wind, rain, thunder and lightning, the rotation of the four seasons is the law of nature.

The birth, aging, sickness and death of living beings, and even their reasonable desires, are also the laws of nature.

The natural world needs to abide by the "laws of nature" so that it can function normally and various natural disasters will not occur.

All living beings also need to abide by the "laws of nature" and act accordingly, so that the self, family, country, and civilization can reach the most perfect state.

When everything follows the laws of nature and operates stably, it is a perfect world.

Of course, this is just one of the core ideas of the Lisheng doctrine.

His theory is extremely complex and meticulous, and can be perfectly self-consistent without any loopholes or flaws. If it were put into writing, it would be such a huge amount of content that it would take numerous works to record it all.

But after listening for a while, Zhou Qing shook his head in his heart.

He did not deny or disagree with the teachings of the Sage of Reason, but the existence of practitioners themselves was a disruption of order.

After mastering the power, practitioners act more according to their own will rather than worldly rules.

The stronger the practitioner, the less likely he is to be restricted by rules.

It is actually impossible to expect practitioners to completely abide by a certain order and not transgress it in the slightest.

But if order can really be used to restrain everyone, it will indeed be beneficial and can indeed promote development.

There is truth in the saying that without rules, there will be no order.

The premise is that such order is a good order, and it must be constantly updated with the changes of the times, always in line with reality, and will not become backward or advanced.

But no matter what, the "heavenly law" advocated by the Sage of Law is basically impossible to come down completely.

Zhou Qing, who had just arrived at the Age of Saints, could see this, and naturally most other people also understood it in their hearts, including the Saint of Reason himself.

But one of the reasons why sages are called sages is that they are willing to fight for their entire lives to put their ideas into practice and never give up.

As long as Li Sheng is still on the road and there are still people who recognize him, that is enough.

Although he did not think that the doctrine of the Sage of Reason could be fully realized, Zhou Qing still listened very seriously.

This is a sage's summary of the principles of heaven and earth and his own thoughts. To mortals, it is just some theoretical knowledge, but for people like Zhou Qing who practice Haoran Qi, it is also a perfect resource.

The practice of Haoran Qi, in the final analysis, is to recognize the truth, understand the truth, master the truth, and create the truth.

The thoughts of a sage are extremely precious.

In later generations, it is simply impossible for such teachings by sages to occur.

Moreover, in the Age of Saints, if one wants to advance to the level of the Lord of Life, one must have a sufficiently high level of literary and Taoist cultivation. This is a hard requirement.

So now that he had this opportunity, Zhou Qing could be said to have listened more seriously than anyone else.

You may not agree with the ideas of these sages, but you cannot deny that they do make sense.

Even sages with opposing ideological doctrines would not deny this.

After the Saint of Reason finished speaking, the Saint of Agriculture spoke next.

The two of them are disciples of Wensheng. Wensheng is also present at the moment, so it is naturally impossible for them to be the last to perform. It is more of a "dropping in the bucket" approach.

"Agriculture is the foundation of human culture and the stone of civilization..."

The Agricultural Saint is an old man who looks very weathered, with dark skin but bright eyes.

As he opened his mouth, a world evolved above him.

Zhou Qing listened carefully to the teachings of the Agricultural Sage and discovered that although he was the Agricultural Sage, his teachings did not only involve farming.

The essence of the teachings of the Sage of Agriculture is that people are valued.

From farming to life, the core is to value life.

Use agriculture to protect and develop life.

After listening for a while, Zhou Qing understood something: this Agricultural Saint must be a great master of wood and life.

The teachings of these saints are generally closely related to the path they practiced.

Don't be fooled by the Agricultural Sage's constant talk about farming. If you really fight with this sage, you will know how powerful his attainments in life are.

Like the Sage of Reason, his thoughts seem to be just advocating that heaven and earth and all living things should follow heaven and earth, but we can also get a glimpse of his foundation from them.

If you fight with the Saint of Principle, you will experience the power of Heavenly Principle. At that time, Heavenly Principle will no longer be the doctrine of the Saint of Principle, but the embodiment of his power. It will restrain and restrict you in all aspects and make it impossible for you to go against his will.

After the Saint of Agriculture, the Saint of Law began to spread his own doctrines.

The Dharma Sage's teachings are widely spread among the countries in the Xuanhuang Realm today and are a well-deserved famous school of thought.

The thoughts of the Saint of Law and the Saint of Principle actually have certain similarities. Both believe that order and rules are the most important, and that all things must operate within order.

It sounds like the two sides have a lot in common and seem to fit in very well. It's not an exaggeration to say that they are brotherly doctrines, but in fact, that's not the case. The relationship between the Saint of Reason and the Saint of Law is actually very bad. Their doctrines and thoughts are not only incompatible in nature, but are completely opposite.

If the reason advocated by the Sage of Reason is the order that objectively existed before the creation of heaven and earth, then the law advocated by the Sage of Law is the rules set by humans.

One is "natural law", the other is "human law", one is objective, the other is subjective.

This is a fundamental contradiction.

From the perspective of the doctrine of the Sage of Reason, "human law" is the greatest rebellion against "heavenly principles".

"Heavenly principles" are constant, and everything should be run according to "Heavenly principles". If "Heavenly principles" forbid it, you cannot do it, and if "Heavenly principles" do not forbid it, you can do it.

You have also created "human laws". Aren't you trying to change "natural laws"?
If it is allowed by "natural law" but prohibited by "human law", then whose opinion should we listen to?

The same is true in reverse. The existence of "heavenly principles" is also the biggest restriction on "human laws."

What we want is human rules, not heaven's order.

How can the perspective of man and the perspective of heaven be the same?

That’s why we say this is a fundamental conflict.

After listening for a while, Zhou Qing realized the problem. The two schools of thought, theory and law, were in sharp conflict with each other.

However, Zhou Qing didn't care about it. He was not a disciple of any school. He just came to listen to the "lecture".

As long as the logic is useful to him, he doesn't care about the conflicts between the two sides.

After listening for a while, Zhou Qing felt that his righteous energy had grown stronger, and his mind became more active.

Such an opportunity should not be missed.

#precipitation#
While Zhou Qing was concentrating on various schools of thought and absorbing their principles, Wensheng was also paying attention to him.

Seeing that he was immersed in the mysteries of sages, Wensheng nodded slightly.

He can tell at a glance whether someone is listening sincerely or pretending to listen.

This young man, who came from nowhere and has a keen mind, is very qualified.

The teachings and thoughts of saints and sages are spread here, and the charm of their teachings is becoming more and more profound.

Many people who had not been interested in these theories before were now fascinated by them.

The true words of sages are beyond imagination.

Even if the saints do not use any magical powers to seduce you or change your mind, but just speak in ordinary words, you will subconsciously feel admiration after you understand what they mean.

Finally, it ends with the teachings of Wensheng.

The "wen" in "wensheng" refers to the "wen" of literature and Taoism. His doctrine goes straight to the root of things and, in a sense, is the most noble.

After Wensheng finished speaking, the seven saints began to debate. Others could also participate in this process, as long as your reasoning could be recognized by the saints.

When the saints debated, the debate between the Saints of Principle and the Saints of Dharma was the most intense.

Fortunately, the two of them did not lose their sagely demeanor. They only engaged in literary debate and did not develop into martial arts debate.

As he listened, Zhou Qing found that the debate was even more exciting than the lecture.

Who says saints wouldn’t be sarcastic?
His theories are profound, his thoughts are lofty, and when he is sarcastic, he is much more powerful than ordinary people.

Zhou Qing felt strange.

The heroes of the world are so numerous that they are countless.

Among the people here, there are indeed some who have extraordinary abilities. They have successfully gained the recognition of the saints and are able to communicate directly with the saints.

Whenever such a person appears, he will attract the envy and admiration of everyone.

Zhou Qing also felt that his eyes had been broadened. It turned out that there was never a shortage of wise people in the world.

After a while, there was a moment of silence, when no one spoke, Wen Sheng suddenly looked at Zhou Qing and asked:

"Does this gentleman have any opinion?"

Zhou Qing was stunned. He didn't expect Wen Sheng to ask him this.

opinion?

I do not have it.

"Please forgive my ignorance. I am still in the learning stage and have not been able to come up with my own understanding."

Since it was the Sage of Literature who asked the question personally, then the sage's Dao Yun would naturally not stop Zhou Qing from speaking.

But Zhou Qing didn't intend to take the limelight. If he hadn't been noticed by Wensheng, he might have to find a way to attract his attention, but that was not necessary now.

Besides, this is definitely not Zhou Qing’s forte, so there’s no need to teach him about it.

The Agricultural Sage smiled and said, “It is a good thing to be humble, but you should not be too humble.”

"It's not that I'm humble."

Zhou Qing said: "Know what you know, and know what you don't know."

Li Sheng smiled, "What you said makes a lot of sense."

"..."

Wensheng nodded: "I understand what you mean."

You understand something...

This sudden change attracted the attention of everyone present, and everyone was envious.

From the initial attention to the current special questions and answers, it is clear that Zhou Qing is deeply concerned by the saints.

Next, the saints began to explain the way of cultivation. Zhou Qing was refreshed. He put some thoughts behind him and listened attentively to the saints' teachings.

The seven sages all spoke, touching upon the mysteries of realms, magical powers, secret methods, breakthrough points, etc.

Among them, some saints said something about breaking through from the fairyland to the destiny realm.

"We are lucky. Destiny unexpectedly manifested itself, giving us the opportunity to make continuous progress. However, because this is not a normal cycle of destiny, every progress we make is fraught with difficulties."

"The Way of Literature and the great spirit are the keys to open the door to the realm of destiny."

The manifestation of the destiny in the Age of Saints turned out to be an accident, not the normal rotation of destiny?
Zhou Qing thought to himself, from the information he had received in the past, destiny was something that could not be interfered with by humans and was entirely up to fate.

But why did this accident happen during the Age of Saints? What caused this accident?
At the first moment, a name appeared in Zhou Qing's mind.

Destiny Sect!
The most special and important event in the Age of Saints was undoubtedly the destruction of the Tianming Sect.

The Destiny Daoist tradition, which even the Xiantian God Emperor believed could be eternal and indestructible, suddenly and bizarrely perished in the Xuanhuang Realm. This was undoubtedly an unprecedented event.

No one knows how many years have passed since the Tianming Sect was destroyed, but that period of time is still shrouded in shadow, and even the long river of time cannot be used to peek into it. What this represents is too terrifying.

If it was the demise of the Tianming Sect that led to the abnormal rotation of Tianming and the unexpected Age of Saints, then Zhou Qing could understand it a little.

"In this world, the destiny is both revealed and unrevealed. It is impossible to sense the destiny remotely in a normal way. However, the Way of Literature is the gap that reveals the destiny. Only through the Way of Literature can we interact with the destiny."

"If you want to break through the fairyland and reach the realm of destiny, you must first cultivate your Haoran Qi to the realm of literary perfection, and then use the way of literature to directly sense your own destiny star, leaving traces of Haoran Qi on the destiny star, and use destiny to carry literature. In this way, you will enter the realm of literary destiny."

"Only in this way can we use the connection between the noble energy and the destiny star to enter the destiny and carry out the subsequent practice."

"Compared to the normal way of breakthrough, this method is extremely difficult and the path is extremely narrow. After you reach the state of perfection in literary aspect, you must pay attention..."

The normal way to break through is to remotely sense destiny first. As long as you complete this step, you can naturally enter into destiny and find the destiny star.

But in the Age of Saints, the Mandate of Heaven was not fully manifested, or even only a trace of it was revealed.

That trace is the way of literature.

It is not feasible to sense destiny remotely, as this cuts off the normal way to reach destiny.

The breakthrough from Wenxiang to Wenming is different from the breakthrough from fairyland to destiny. The former will not ascend to the realm of destiny. It requires you to be in the mortal world and directly sense the destiny star.

This is undoubtedly difficult. It is not easy to find the destiny star between destinies, let alone there is a layer between them.

If destiny is fully manifested, then this step can be easily completed when the practitioner attacks the Lord of Destiny, and it is not difficult.

But unfortunately, the manifestation of destiny is incomplete today, so I can only take an unconventional approach.

Using destiny to carry literature, after being promoted to the realm of literary destiny, the immortal will have a clear and indelible connection with the destiny star.

In this way, with the help of some special methods, one can follow this connection, through the gap in destiny, and enter into fate.

You don't even have to enter the realm of destiny, you can directly shatter the destiny star from a distance!
After all, after using one's life to write a text, the first few steps to be promoted to the Lord of Life are equivalent to being completed.

This is different from the breakthrough path of the Destiny Orthodoxy, and will not restrict your path.

The path of the Tianming Daotong was left by their ancestors, and the traces of the predecessors' great way are obvious.

But in the Age of Saints, you really are in direct contact with destiny, but compared to the normal way of breakthrough, this path takes a detour.
