Super Copy of Great Power Technology

Chapter 474 Astronaut Training

But half an hour later, Qiao Ruida's personal Weibo account reposted Ruida Aerospace's blog post and left a message, "The Telescope was launched successfully. I tried it out a little bit and the photos were great!"

Qiao Ruida's personal Weibo account is a super V with more than 60 million fans. This repost had a huge impact. In just half an hour, tens of millions of netizens saw this beautiful picture of the Horsehead Nebula and left countless comments and reposts. It then attracted many online media to follow suit and became a hot topic on almost the entire Internet.

"Oh my god, what a beautiful nebula! Is this really a picture taken by a telescope, or is it made using a computer?"

"The scene in this photo seems familiar. It seems that the Hubble Telescope has also photographed this nebula, right?"

"Yes, the Horsehead Nebula image is one of the most classic starry sky images taken by the Hubble Telescope."

"The Horsehead Nebula is located to the lower left of Zeta Orion (Betelgeux) and is part of the Orion Molecular Cloud Cluster. It is about 1500 light-years away from Earth and is a dark nebula. Because of its shape, the dark dust and rotating gas form a horse's head when viewed from Earth, so it is called the Horsehead Nebula."

"From this photo, it can be seen that the image taken by the Telescope is even better than that taken by the famous Hubble Telescope. At least some of the big stars hidden behind the nebula have been captured."

"The Clairvoyance Telescope is more powerful than the Hubble Telescope, that's impossible. According to the information I have learned, the cost of the Hubble Telescope exceeded 20 billion US dollars, and that was 20 billion US dollars at the end of the last century. The valuation of the entire company of Reda Aerospace is not that high, how can they build a space telescope more powerful than the Hubble."

"The high cost at the end of the last century does not mean the high cost now. Just like a mainframe computer that originally cost tens of millions to buy, its computing power is not as high as a modern copycat mobile phone. I think with the rapid development of technology, the cost of space telescopes will also drop significantly. Moreover, the cost of raw materials and labor in China is much lower than that in foreign countries. Therefore, the cost of the Clairvoyant Space Telescope is definitely not as high as that of Hubble, and it is reasonable that its shooting performance is better than Hubble. After all, Hubble is an old product from more than 20 years ago. No matter how advanced the technology was back then, its technological content is just average now."

"Downloading the source file of the image. I want to see how high-definition the 1500G image is."

"One picture is 1500G, it's outrageous. My computer hard drive only has 1000G. I cleared all the hard drives and couldn't download it."

"I am also downloading the source files of the images, but it is an assignment given to us by our instructor. We need to analyze and write a paper. It is really troublesome."

"For a single large file like this, ordinary image viewing software can't open it, right?"

"From now on, our country also has its own space telescope, which is worth celebrating."

"The starry sky is so amazing. An area that looks empty to the naked eye can actually produce such a beautiful nebula when photographed with a space telescope."

"Do you have any other photos of the starry sky and nebulae? Can you post them together? I want to make a starry sky series desktop."

"Taking photos with a space telescope is very time-consuming. You need to adjust the shooting angle and extend the exposure time. After obtaining the photos, a series of post-processing is required. All in all, it takes at least two or three hours to take a photo of the Horsehead Nebula. If you want to put together a series of starry sky photos, you will have to wait a long time."

After the Clairvoyant Space Telescope successfully entered orbit, the heavy-duty Suzaku launch mission was considered a perfect success, and the heavy-duty Suzaku rocket has become the rocket with the largest carrying capacity in China. Two days later, Ruida Aerospace released the heavy-duty Suzaku rocket, which provided information about its satellite launch business. It can launch a super-heavy satellite, or it can launch multiple satellites in a platter. The average launch price of the heavy-duty Suzaku rocket is much lower than that of the ordinary Suzaku rocket. Within an hour of being put on the shelves, it received more than a dozen orders and dozens of intended orders.

At this point, Qiao Ruida's purpose of leading the team to Ruida Space City has been fully achieved. However, he did not leave for Beijing immediately, but chose to stay in the Space City. Half a month later, the Ruida Astronaut Group was established in Ruida Space City. Ruida Astronaut Group currently has two official astronauts, Xie Duanyang and Brianna Anderson. There are 26 reserve astronauts, and Qiao Ruida, the boss, is also one of the reserve astronauts.

Among them, Xie Duanyang was poached from the National Astronaut Corps by Ruida Aerospace at a high price. The reason why the National Astronaut Corps agreed to release him was that Xie Duanyang was about to reach the age of the station, and even if he stayed in the National Astronaut Corps, he would hardly have the opportunity to go to space. Another reason is that Ruida Aerospace paid a large sum of talent training fees for Xie Duanyang. Of course, Xie Duanyang's personal wishes are also very important. He is a person who is extremely obsessed with aerospace. In order to have a chance to enter space one day, he has been in the National Astronaut Corps for more than ten years and has been a backup astronaut for more than ten years, but he has never had the opportunity to enter space. Seeing that his age is gradually increasing, Xie Duanyang's chance of realizing his dream has become smaller and smaller. Until the people of Ruida Aerospace came to him and heard that he would have the opportunity to go to space if he went to Ruida Aerospace, Xie Duanyang signed the contract without saying a word.

Another official astronaut, Brianna Anderson, was transformed by Qiao Ruida using a scientific dimension puppet. This kind of puppet has solid theoretical knowledge and strong hands-on ability, which is rare. In addition to Qiao Ruida, the other 25 reserve astronauts are all young people recruited in the past few days. They have at least a bachelor's degree and their ages range from 22 to 30. Qiao Ruida and this group of people are of the same generation, and they don't look out of place when standing together.

That afternoon, all members of the Reda Astronaut Team, including Qiao Reda, entered a one-month astronaut training and exercise. The training instructors were Xie Duanyang and Brianna Anderson.

To become a qualified astronaut, you need to carry out seven types of learning and training, mainly including:
(1) Basic theory learning Basic theory learning is to help astronauts master the basic knowledge related to manned space flight, including more than a dozen courses such as advanced mathematics, computers, flight dynamics, aerodynamics, geophysics, meteorology, astronomy, astronautics, design principles, structure, navigation control, equipment testing of rockets and spacecraft, and aerospace medicine knowledge.

(2) Physical training Physical training is designed to improve and consolidate the astronauts’ physical fitness, enhance their disease resistance, and enable them to complete their training and flight missions with a strong physique and vigorous energy.

(3) Psychological training Psychological training is aimed at improving the psychological quality of astronauts, including psychological education, psychological relaxation training, psychological compatibility training, isolation training in a confined environment, and psychological training targeting illusions.

(4) Space environment adaptability training Space environment adaptability training is aimed at improving astronauts’ endurance and adaptability to special environmental factors, as well as their ability to adapt after returning to the ground. It mainly includes overweight endurance adaptability training, vestibular function training, weightless aircraft flight training, head-down bed rest experience, and weightless training tank simulation weightless environment training.

(5) Life-saving and survival training Life-saving and survival training refers to the astronauts' mastery of life-saving and survival skills in special circumstances, mainly including emergency evacuation training before launch, life-saving training during flight, extravehicular training after landing, survival training and rescue training.

(6) Flight procedures and mission training Flight procedures and mission training is to enable astronauts to master various mission procedures of manned spacecraft, including the manipulation and control of spacecraft attitude, the identification, diagnosis and handling of faults, the use and operation of various equipment, normal flight procedures training, emergency flight procedures training, etc.

(7) Large-scale joint exercises Large-scale joint exercises are conducted through man-ship joint exercises, man-ship-ground joint exercises, and man-ship-rocket-ground joint exercises conducted at the launch site to enable the flight crew to understand and master actual flight procedures.

With so much learning and training content, it is definitely impossible to complete it within a month, so we can only pick some basic projects to carry out first. In the morning, people's minds are clearest, and knowledge learning courses are mainly arranged. The textbooks used are the same series of books as those of the National Astronaut Corps, and the lecturers are of course Xie Duanyang and Brianna Anderson. Occasionally, there are old experts invited from the National Astronaut Training Center, or astronauts who have been to space several times, to give classes to everyone and share some experiences of going to space.

For others, the training course was very troublesome, but for Qiao Ruida, it was very easy. In terms of knowledge, Qiao Ruida learned with almost no effort. He only needed to flip through the textbook once to remember most of it. He could repeat more than 90% of the teacher's explanation after listening to it once, and he could remember it permanently. Compared with his colleagues who were also receiving training, he was much better. In terms of training, influenced by the system, Qiao Ruida's physical fitness was much better than that of ordinary people. He easily passed the most tiring physical fitness test. He also performed outstandingly in various environmental adaptation training.

An old professor invited from the National Astronaut Training Center looked at Qiao Ruida, who was operating a spacecraft simulator not far ahead and skillfully completing manual rendezvous and docking operations. He exclaimed: "This student Qiao has a good physique, strong endurance, and abnormal learning ability. He is really a good candidate to be an astronaut. It's a pity that he already has such a foundation. It's impossible for him to give up his current career and go on an adventure in space as an astronaut."

"Professor Tang, that's not necessarily true. Our President Qiao is very adventurous. During our casual chats after class, he has expressed more than once that in the future he must personally fly the spacecraft developed by Ruida Aerospace to break out of the earth, out of the solar system, and take a look at the vast universe and stars." The person who took over the conversation was Xie Duanyang. He had been in the National Astronaut Training Center for more than ten years and was an old acquaintance of Professor Tang.

"Oh, so this Qiao Ruida really has some adventurous spirit. He is not like those ordinary entrepreneurs who are successful but afraid of death. Duanyang, you have been in Ruida Aerospace for more than half a month. Are you doing well?"

"Thank you Professor Tang for your concern. I am living a good life at Ruida Aerospace. I have no worries about food and drink, and the benefits are good. My salary has more than doubled. More importantly, after coming to Ruida Aerospace, I have the opportunity to go into space, and I won't have to wait too long. This is more important to me than anything else. Professor Tang, perhaps you don't know yet, but the manned spacecraft 'Tianlong-1' independently designed by Ruida Aerospace has completed its design and trial production, and is currently undergoing ground testing. I believe that in another one or two years, it will be finalized and put into mass production. By then, I can board the Tianlong-1 spacecraft and fulfill my dream of going into space." When talking about his current work and life, Xie Duanyang was filled with emotion.

"With the technical strength of Ruida Aerospace, it should not be difficult to engage in manned space flight, but technical accumulation and product iteration are also indispensable. If you want to go into space with Ruida Aerospace, it may be a bit difficult. You have to wait at least five or six years. You have also studied the history of China's manned space flight. You should know that for a mature spacecraft, it will take at least five years from design drawings to production, test flights, and manned flights." Professor Tang couldn't help but pour a bucket of cold water on Xie Duanyang, so that he would not be too optimistic about the future.

"Professor Tang, the five or six years you mentioned is the time required by traditional R&D methods. When developing new products, our R&D department of Ruida Aerospace uses virtual development and explosive update iteration methods. The R&D process can be shortened to about one-sixth of the traditional R&D process, which is extremely fast. This is also the reason why Ruida Aerospace can master medium and heavy rocket technology and rocket recovery technology so quickly."

Hearing Xie Duanyang's words, Professor Tang immediately became interested and asked, "Virtual development and explosive update iteration, what are these technologies? Why haven't I heard of them before?"

"Virtual development is to build rockets and spacecraft in the earth environment simulator carried by the supercomputer, simulating countless launches and recoveries to find flaws in the design. Explosive updates and iterations are to build more, launch more, find flaws in the design through accidents, and continuously update and iterate. I'm not a scientific researcher, so I don't know the specific details." Xie Duanyang shrugged and said apologetically. The reason why he said this is that he really has limited knowledge of these technical things. Another reason is that when he joined the company, he signed a confidentiality agreement. There are some things that he will not disclose to people outside the company even if he knows them very well. (End of this chapter)
