Di Jun?

Many people have never paid attention to this name at all.

Compared with famous ancient ancestors such as Yan Emperor, Huang Emperor and Gonggong.

Many people have never heard of Emperor Jun.

But if you are an expert in studying Chinese mythology and legends.

Don't miss this magical existence.

But this person is rarely mentioned in our history books.

If you ask ten ordinary audience members, maybe only one or two of them will know.

Even if you know it, it is likely that you know it through ancient novels.

Not to mention foreign audiences.

They had never even heard of who Di Jun was.

Some historians, mythologists and archaeologists.

In fact, they have always had different opinions about Di Jun.

Why is there no complete genealogy in ancient my country?
Age is one reason.

There is also the loss of historical data.

But more importantly, some historians have mixed up the facts.

Once one person makes a mistake, he will keep making mistakes.

The example Ye Zhen most often cites is the translation of phoenix and dragon.

The phoenix is mixed with the Western phoenix.

Our dragon is confused with the Western dragon.

Also, in ancient times, the various names made it very difficult for later generations to understand.

Take Huangdi for example.

Some people call him Gongsun Xuanyuan, some call him Xuanyuan, and some say that Huangdi's surname was Ji, and his name was Ji Xuanyuan.

In addition, Huangdi was also known as Youxiong, and some people said that his surname was Si and his name was Xuan.

All of these refer to one person.

What's going on here.

In fact, if you have studied ancient times.

Ancient people had various names, like Li Bai, whose surname was Li, given name was Bai, whose courtesy name was Taibai, and whose alias was Qinglian Jushi.

He was also called the Immortal Poet by later generations.

In fact, these all refer to one person.

If Li Bai had a position, such as Prime Minister Li and Prefect Li, they were all him.

If Li Bai were the emperor, there would also be a country name and the like.

This is even more complicated.

This is why our country's archaeology can often find the truth through some clues.

Because all these things can be pointed to one person.

It's like you're in a grave and find a tombstone with no name on it.

But if it says the four words "Qinglian Jushi", then you can translate it.

You can find out who that person is by looking for someone called Qinglian Jushi in history.

What about Emperor Jun?

Some historians often confuse Emperor Jun and Emperor Ku.

There are people like this everywhere nowadays.

Some mythologists discussed together.

"Isn't Emperor Jun the Emperor Ku? One of the Five Emperors."

"That's right. This is the result of oracle bone research."

"What's there to talk about?"

Even though he is one of the Five Emperors, Emperor Ku is rarely mentioned.

why?

Among the Five Emperors, he is the only one who is almost invisible.

Many people don’t even know how to pronounce this word.

But later researchers insisted on confusing Emperor Ku and Emperor Jun.

Some people think that Ku is Jun, and even say that Emperor Ku is named Jun, which is such a funny thing.

This is just like what Ye Zhen said just now, it is funny to mistake Yan Emperor for Shennong.

In fact, this is a kind of blasphemy.

The reason why Emperor Ku is rarely discussed is because it allows others to study Emperor Jun.

It seemed as if Emperor Jun was about to disappear.

Ye Zhen introduced Di Jun to everyone.

“If we talk about the status of Emperor Jun, we can use Emperor Ku, one of the Five Emperors, as his replacement.

It's just the funniest thing ever, complete blasphemy. Why?
Let me briefly tell you something that everyone knows.

Everyone remembers the story of Dayi shooting down the sun.

The story of ten suns rising at the same time, the three-legged golden crow.

How did the ten suns come from? They were born by Xihe.

And who was Xihe's husband? It was Emperor Jun.

Di Jun is the only celestial emperor recorded in the "Classic of Mountains and Seas".

That’s right, Di Jun’s status is so high that he is the Emperor of Heaven.

This is a unique title.

It is also the only name found in the oracle bones we have now.

The names of the other five emperors, including Huangdi, have never been found in oracle bone inscriptions. "

Emperor Jun only appears in "Classic of Mountains and Seas", which can be said to be very ancient.

Everyone knows the wonderful book "Classic of Mountains and Seas".

It can be said to be the only existing mythological blueprint in our country.

If they appear in "Classic of Mountains and Seas", they can be said to be the oldest ones.

It is something that has been circulated since the pre-Qin period.

Later, some Taoist illustrations of gods and immortals were compiled by later generations.

"Why do scholars nowadays think that Emperor Ku is Emperor Jun?

It is only because Huangfu Mi is quoted in "Shi Ji Suo Yin" as saying: "Emperor Ku was named Jun."

However, "Guoyu", "Shiben" and "Da Dai Li" all only mention Ku without mentioning the name Jun.

In the early Qing Dynasty, the old records of Yanshi during the Shun and Kang years pointed out that Emperor Ku was named Jun, also known as Gao Xin, with his capital in Bo. He died after seventy years in office.

According to this record, Gao Xin was named both Ku and Jun.

This is all wrong, because Emperor Ku was also mentioned in "Classic of Mountains and Seas".

But there are only three of them, but Emperor Jun has as many as fifteen.

The two are not mentioned at the same time at all, because they are not from the same period.

When mentioning Di Jun, he is often called the Emperor of Heaven.

Until now, Di Jun has been a mythical figure full of mystery.

Because apart from the "Classic of Mountains and Seas", there are very few records of Emperor Jun.

However, what can be confirmed is that this is another lineage of gods independent of Yanhuang.

Because the totem worshipped by Di Jun's lineage is the bird.

The ancient ancestor of the divine Eastern bird-worshiping tribes.

It’s Emperor Jun.

Emperor Jun's status is enough to be on par with the Three Sovereigns, or even surpass them.

It is impossible that Emperor Ku, one of the Five Emperors, could commit such a crime.

Scholars in our country have discovered it in oracle bone inscriptions.

It records an ancient "Gaozu" whose name was Jun.

But researchers insist that 夋 and 喾 are the same character.

That is to say, Emperor Jun was mistaken for Emperor Ku."

Obviously, anyone who is a little bit knowledgeable knows this.

Emperor Jun and Emperor Ku are completely different people.

Just like Yan Emperor is regarded as Shennong among the Three Emperors.

Emperor Ku is also regarded as the ancient emperor of heaven.

Obviously this is impossible.

Even the audience noticed it.

"One is the Heavenly Emperor from ancient times, how could he be Emperor Ku, one of the Five Emperors?"

"I really want to pry open those people's heads to see what's inside."

"So later people mixed up Emperor Ku and Emperor Jun, just like Emperor Yan and Shennong, for the purpose of confusion?"

"Even Huangdi himself was not the Emperor of Heaven. Is it possible that Huangdi's descendants are the Ancient Emperors of Heaven?"

You don’t know until you hear it. Once you hear it, everyone is shocked by the mistake.

Is it really such a joke?
So everyone should de-mystify some professional and high-end things.

Because even professionals have different factions and opinions.

Just like the “Simuwu Ding” we learned when we were young.

Now it turns out to be "Houmuwu Ding."

The two words "Si" and "Hou" only have different directions in the inscription.

So some of the knowledge we take for granted.

It is also possible that changes will occur with the development of the times and the deepening of research. (End of this chapter)
