I want to embrace the moon for nine days
Chapter 478: Pre-obtaining Mana Power for 3 Lifetimes, Old Jigong with a Fan in the Wind
The pangolin huddled in the corner, holding a bright gem between its two claws.
It was actually an elixir that was made for him by Lu Dongbin and Li Tieguai, two of the Eight Immortals.
Just when he was feeling dizzy, this precious pill naturally came out to protect its master, allowing him to regain some clarity.
But now, he stared blankly at the scene in front of him, and the gem in his claws accidentally fell to the ground.
This old senior, Emperor Mu, is so... so fierce!
The Eight Immortals are known as the Eight Immortals of the Upper Cave. They have a sense of worldliness and a hermit spirit. Therefore, their magic spells are sophisticated and ingenious. Even when they are casting spells, they sometimes look like ordinary people, but unknowingly, they have used great supernatural powers.
Even for the most high-profile Lu Dongbin, his magic sword is just like a green snake in his sleeve, and his magic is just like a painted crane flying.
Pangolin has always learned from them. Most of the ones he met in Dongsheng Shenzhou were immortals of this kind. He had never seen such a violent attack as using one's own coffin board to hit people.
The two coffin lids collided in mid-air and turned into powder.
The seven coffin lids were all standing in the air, forming a circle and slightly rotating, as if forming a large seal, suppressing the two spiritual lights below.
Su Hanshan came over to take a look and found that the two rays of light were extraordinary.
Zhang Kui's spiritual light, after suffering a severe blow just now, was still struggling like a python, and there was a sense of resonance with the earth, as if the python was turning over and the earth was turning upside down.
It is truly extraordinary to have mastered the underground escape technique to his level.
But tracing back to the source, his advantage still lies in his connection with the stars.
With the support of a large amount of energy from the stars in the sky, he was able to naturally apply it to the underground escape technique.
The normal people's method of escaping underground has a tendency to resonate with the earth and draw strength from the earth. The word "escaping" does not only mean running away, but also means fusion.
Zhang Kui's method of escaping underground does not borrow power from the earth at all. Instead, he relies on the abundant energy from the stars in the sky to directly convert the star energy into earth energy.
He merely borrowed the veins of the earth to allow himself to escape more smoothly. During the whole process, not only did he not borrow vitality from the earth, but he also added more strength to the veins of the earth. Of course, he went smoother and faster.
In Zhu Tianlin's spiritual light, there was a sword vaguely wrapped around it. It was the same sword he had just used. It was of extremely high quality and it was probably not something that could be cultivated by someone at his level.
But because he possesses energy from outer space, he can bring out the full potential of this sword.
The sword was spinning with a buzzing sound, and it seemed like it was about to break free from the suppression.
"Strange! This kind of self-aura should be the consciousness of the cultivator, sublimated after a long period of tempering. Whether it is the other worlds that the ancestors mentioned to me, or the many worlds I have visited myself, there is no exception. Why do these two people's auras feel..."
Su Hanshan stretched out his hand and absorbed the two rays of spiritual light into his palm. He stared at them for a long time and made secret calculations in his mind.
"It feels like the aura of these two people existed first, and then their consciousness was born."
This feeling is like a magic weapon forged by some extremely powerful person, which has given birth to a spirit.
The six venerable Purple Bamboo Umbrellas whom Su Hanshan had subdued in the Mausoleum of the Qin Emperor were, by some strange coincidence, reincarnated as humans through their magic weapons and achieved success in their cultivation, which was somewhat similar to this situation.
He shook his arm, collected the two rays of light into his sleeves, used the domain of ghosts and gods to continue analyzing, and turned to look at the pangolin.
Pangolin was a little nervous and didn't know what to say: "Senior!"
"The man just now claimed to be the Southern Plague Messenger, so he must have other messengers, or even a master. The other one is related to the hunt for the Eight Immortals, so the power behind him is very unusual."
Su Hanshan sighed deeply, "It seems that I can't stay in this tomb any longer. Otherwise, even if I can continue to fight them, this tomb will be blown up by the aftermath sooner or later."
Pangolin was even more at a loss: "I really didn't know they would follow me, senior, I..."
"The monk who directed you to come here is the one who caused the destruction of my grave. He is also one of the reasons why you were followed."
Su Hanshan swept his right hand, and the entire mausoleum was taken away by him like a wave of water. He waved his left hand and held the pangolin in his palm. With a scorching gaze, he said, "Let's go find him first."
That monk's ability to conceal his whereabouts is indeed very good.
However, Su Hanshan intercepted the cause and effect of King Mu of Zhou. The monk instructed the pangolin to dig King Mu of Zhou's tomb, which was equivalent to taking the initiative to provoke him. The cause and effect connection clearly fell on Su Hanshan.
With Su Hanshan's Wuliang Zhendao cultivation, it was not difficult for him to sense a monk he had dealt with not long ago from the pangolin.
The Mausoleum of Emperor Mu is located in the belly of a mountain.
Su Hanshan walked out of the mountain with calm steps. In an instant, he traveled a thousand miles and landed on a city.
It was evening now, and the city was bustling with people everywhere.
The only exception is the southeast corner of the city. Due to an earthquake a few years ago, many houses sank and tilted. No one dared to live there, so everyone moved away.
Because the City God warned people in dreams, no one was injured at the time. Therefore, the people who moved away had no need to commemorate the place, and within a few years, it was overgrown with weeds and became a place for wild children in the city to play.
They used a handful of rice grains to catch some small fish in the river, moved bricks to build a stove here, boiled the small fish in a broken clay pot, and played house games.
Recently, a little monk came here to play for some reason. He was wearing a blue-gray monk's robe and cloth shoes. He was plump, white, round and cute, with a small cloth bag on his back.
The children gave him lively little fishes. He put the fishes into a cloth bag and then took out sweet red bean paste buns.
Therefore, children love to play with him.
No one noticed when Su Hanshan fell. A little girl turned around and found that there was an adult there. She couldn't help but let out a cry.
"Nammu that Amitabha."
The fat monk looked at Su Hanshan and said to the children, "You all go back. This donor is here to see me."
After the children got the steamed buns, they went away in groups of three or four.
Su Hanshan said with a smile: "Little Fatty, I'm not here to look for you, where is your master?"
The fat monk stared at Su Hanshan with his eyes wide open for a while, then looked at the pangolin. The pangolin gestured to him with its two claws on its chest, but he didn't know whether Su Hanshan understood or not.
But an old monk had already walked out of the dilapidated house next door.
The old monk was skinny as a stick, with a shabby monk's hat on his head and tattered clothes on his body. He held a rotten palm-leaf fan in one hand and covered his stomach with the other hand. He staggered out and laughed before he spoke.
"Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations!"
Su Hanshan smiled and said, "Congratulations to the pangolin for finding me, and congratulations to me for not dying for ten thousand years and crawling out of the grave?"
The old monk said with a bitter face: "The donor's tone sounded like he was here to ask for punishment, but the monk pointed out the pangolin just to make up for it. I never thought that someone would catch up with the pangolin and also catch it in the donor's tomb."
"Fortunately, by the time the monk noticed it, the donor had already taken action. He is really capable."
The old monk gave a thumbs up, his face full of sincere admiration.
Su Hanshan smiled faintly and said nothing.
"Master Shi doesn't believe me, so hit me to vent your anger."
The old monk stretched out his wrinkled palms, looking dejected and ready to be beaten.
Su Hanshan said, "I was just looking at your two names. Your name is Ji Dian, and many people in the world have received your help and call you Ji Gong. That's right, then what is the name of this little monk..."
The little monk perked up and raised the cloth bag in his hand: "I'll be called Cloth Bag Little Monk."
"Should I call you Budai or Maitreya?"
Su Hanshan looked at the innocent little fat boy without asking too much. His gaze shifted back to Jigong. "With your magical powers and status, if you really want to help Pangolin, you can inform the Heavenly Palace, pass a message, or do it yourself. Why do you have to instruct him to dig my grave?"
Ji Gong waved his tattered palm-leaf fan, took two or three steps, and sat down next to the stove that the children used to build. He said, "Donor, I, the old monk, have always been down and out, and the little monk has also been down and out recently."
"Don't even think about asking us to help deliver a letter to the Heavenly Palace. Even if we want to deliver a letter ourselves, we can't do it."
The little monk Budai said, "Maybe someone in heaven doesn't want to get involved in our affairs, so they issued an order to the human world that no one is allowed to pass on any requests for help recently. In this case, Pangolin was still implicated by us, so the old monk wants to give him some pointers as compensation."
Su Hanshan became curious: "Although I am in the tomb, I occasionally listen to the noise outside. Lingshan is such a big family business. Why don't you two ask for help from your hometown, but ask for help from the Heavenly Court, and were rejected? Did something big happen in Lingshan?"
Ji Gong looked up at the sun and said slowly, "It is all my own fault."
As he said this, it seemed as if a secret about Buddhism between heaven and earth, which had been covered up by thousands of layers, now had a thin crack.
Su Hanshan naturally grasped the truth from it.
"Buddhism's great wish?!"
The Buddhist method of great vows is a very magical spell that can advance future magical power and solve current bottlenecks.
For example, if a person vows to make all the people in his country free from disease and disaster, to have everything they need, to have good food and clothing, to be rich and secure, to have the earth as white as gold and the sky filled with flying white jades, then he himself will become a Buddha.
Normally, one should first fulfill the prerequisites one by one, and in the process, constantly accumulate practice and hone oneself, and finally have the power to become a Buddha.
However, by utilizing the Great Wish Technique, one can first obtain some of the magical powers that will only be available after success, and then fulfill those prerequisites.
When the Buddha created this method, his application of the law of cause and effect was astonishing.
Of course, because they had enjoyed this part of the power first, which brought other conveniences, they had to be more careful and meticulous in fulfilling those conditions in the future. At the beginning, if a Buddhist master encountered any difficulties, he would use the Great Wish Technique to increase his cultivation by a large margin. Afterwards, he would find a way to fulfill his vows, and use hundreds or even thousands of years to fulfill the conditions he had said and pay the price. In this way, the foundation would be completely solid, and there would be no sequelae.
However, as Buddhism becomes more and more popular, more and more masters devote themselves to Buddhism, and the art of great wishes is used more frequently.
In order to obtain more powerful magical powers, the wishes they made were more grand than one another.
The earliest masters of Buddhism, if they have seven points of foundation, dare to make three points of vows.
Later Buddhist masters, if they had a seven-point foundation, would dare to make a seventeen-point vow.
It is not just a wish for all the people in the country to be free from illness and disaster. We can also boast that everyone can live for ten thousand years, have a beautiful body, have endless joy, live in a fairyland, and enjoy endless benefits.
There are even many Buddhist masters who don’t bother to comprehend other magical powers and just focus on studying. How can they make deeper wishes?
After making a big wish, the price he owed had not yet been paid, so he relied on his magic power to make a new big wish and gain even deeper magic power, which continued to accumulate.
They are simply unable to fulfill all the great wishes they have made, and the costs they incur will accumulate and become a kind of karma.
There are many kinds of karma, including good karma, bad karma, and karma that is neither good nor bad. There are individual karma and shared karma.
In the world of the original Demon King, the karma of the cosmic light mainly interferes with the long river of time, adds new historical channels, and thickens the foundation of time, hence the name of the cosmic light.

Many masters of Buddhism have drawn up enormous magical powers in advance and made enormous wishes, but they cannot be realized for a long time, forming a kind of "empty karma"!
At the beginning, there were those old masters in Buddhism who were deeply skilled in Taoism and discovered that other Buddhist disciples would not be able to repay the price in time and would be bitten back by karma.
Relying on their profound cultivation and sufficient foundation, they would help those disciples pay the price first and give them a warning.
Some disciples repented because of this, but of course there are still those who remain stubborn and refuse to change.
These old seniors have paid a lot for others, and in the end they have to make a vow to help others pay the bills in time.
They thought they had a solid foundation and that the vows they made were not empty boasts and that they would be able to fulfill them. They also felt that they made these vows purely out of kindness and had a clear conscience.
Little did they know that by doing so, they were already sliding into an abyss.
Things like empty karma don’t care whether your original intentions are good or evil, or whether they are good or bad.
There are so many Buddhist disciples, and of course some of them make vows in order to use the power to do good deeds, but as long as you don’t actually have time to repay the price.
Karma will inevitably arrive as expected.
The entire Buddhist community’s illusory karma has not only not been curbed, but has instead grown heavier.
Ji Gong sighed, "My Buddha Tathagata is unmoving, he always sits on Mount Lingshan, preaching the Dharma every day, trying to resolve the problem, but it doesn't work in the end."
The powerful ones in the Three Realms do not often give lectures. Most of the time they just let their disciples practice on their own and only give them some enlightenment occasionally.
Only the Tathagata Buddha preached at Mount Lingshan almost every day, first for a few hundred years, then for another few hundred years.
Unless there is something important that requires me to go out, there is no time to stop.
Anyone who wants to find Tathagata can basically encounter him preaching.
This is also his effort to fulfill the vows and offset the karma of Buddhist disciples.
But it can’t be completely eliminated, it can’t be completely eliminated at all.
Ever since the Tathagata Buddha compiled the Tripitaka and promoted Mahayana Buddhism, he should have made great vows to save all sentient beings. So no matter how much he preached, he could not tell his Buddhist disciples that they were not allowed to make great vows.
Even if there are a group of people like Guanyin Bodhisattva who do practical things to support us, they can only delay the time when the empty karma will occur.
Not long ago, this karma of nothingness finally broke out.
Because Buddhism worships the lotus, all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas use the "lotus platform" as a symbol of great magical power and great merit. However, when the karma of nothingness accumulates to the extreme, it even gives birth to a black lotus of nothingness.
Once this black lotus appears in the world, the Dharma power of all Buddhas will be completely gone, their supernatural powers will not be able to be displayed, and Buddhism will be in great danger.
"Donor, you have been in the mausoleum for a long time, so you are not well-informed. In fact, although these things were originally a secret of Buddhism, since the karma of nothingness took effect, those who have a little cultivation have already known the news."
Ji Gong said, "Buddhism has existed in the world for 333 years. The Buddhas have died and have no magical powers."
"Three hundred and thirty-three years later, there was a turning point."
Pangolin heard this for the first time and couldn't help asking, "But Living Buddha, you still have magical powers."
"Monks are not Buddhas."
Ji Gong said with a smile, "I am just a self-sacrificing monk. I go through hardships as fate dictates and do what I can. I have never made any great vows."
Su Hanshan nodded slightly, understanding.
Jigong followed the path of an Arhat, and his magical powers were acquired purely through his own hard work and practice, so he was not affected that much.
As for the little monk Budai, he should be the reincarnation of Maitreya Bodhisattva.
Among the three Buddhas of Buddhism, the past Buddha, Dipankara, made the longest vow and delayed it the longest, but once his void karma took effect, he was extinguished the fastest.
Now, it is estimated that the Buddha Tathagata can still hold on for a while, make some arrangements, and then enter Nirvana.
As for the future Buddha Maitreya, he will become a Buddha in the future.
Regarding his great wishes, they were told by Tathagata Buddha, who peered into the infinite future, telling Maitreya how to make a wish and which ones to make in the most appropriate way if he wanted to make one in the future.
In fact, Maitreya has not made those great vows yet, and the influence of the void karma is naturally very small.
Su Hanshan said: "From this point of view, there are only a few masters left in Buddhism, so the former enemies of Buddhism have all come back for revenge, right?"
"The former enemies of Buddhism have basically been dragged into the void karma. The impact they have suffered is not small, but it is not a big problem."
Ji Gong shook his head and said, "The real trouble that is chasing us is not the enemy in the Buddhist scriptures, but a giant ancient monster who calls himself the Master of Tongtian."
"The two you captured are disciples of Tongtian Sect."
This time, Jigong did not take the initiative to reveal any secrets.
But Su Hanshan had great thoughts and had discovered some things.
It turns out that long ago, the Buddha had already realized that false karma would become a serious problem.
Therefore, Buddhism made many arrangements and came up with an ingenious design.
They planned to let the greatest guardian of Buddhism at that time, Kinnara Bodhisattva, come down to the human world to experience tribulations, and use some means to make Kinnara Bodhisattva rebel against Buddhism, combine with the karma of nothingness, and become the incarnation of the black lotus of nothingness.
Such a great Bodhisattva with deep Buddhist roots, after becoming the incarnation of Black Lotus, actually caused the Black Lotus to have flaws.
If everything goes well, when the black lotus reaches Lingshan, after thirty-three days in heaven and thirty-three years on earth, the Buddhas of Lingshan will be able to make a comeback and temporarily resolve the disaster of the black lotus.
Compared with the current 333 years of disaster, it is much easier.
Unfortunately, the catastrophe that Kinnara Bodhisattva encountered was related to the love between a man and a woman at the most critical moment. The immortal Donghua who was passing by at the time sensed something and intervened to help.
Bodhisattva Kinnara therefore saw the clue and broke out of the situation, and moved to the Dongsheng Shenzhou in anger with all the people in distress to live in seclusion.
The Buddhists could not find a second suitable candidate. For example, Guanyin Bodhisattva had enough Buddha nature, but her wisdom was too bright and her heart was too gentle. Even if they set a trap for her, I am afraid she would not be able to reach the level of being compatible with the Black Lotus.
The plan was later shelved.
However, Kinnara Bodhisattva's abnormal behavior attracted the attention of Tongtian Sect Leader and made him suspicious.
Therefore, as early as that time, Master Tongtian had managed to spy on the disaster that would happen to Buddhism.
When the Void Black Lotus was in full bloom at Lingshan, Patriarch Tongtian had already made all his plans and arrived just in time.
All the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who could have held on, or at least made a comeback, were almost all caught by him.
"The real goal of Master Tongtian is to control the Void Black Lotus."
Su Hanshan looked at the little monk with the bag and said, "The little monk is the hope for the future revival of Lingshan."
“If Master Tongtian can capture him, his chances of controlling the Black Lotus will be much greater.”
The little monk showed a look of surprise, not sure whether he was surprised at the burden on his shoulders or surprised that Su Hanshan could see this.
"Oh, the donor even noticed this?"
Ji Gong waved his fan. "When he was young, Mu Tianzi was able to kill five Quanrong kings. After taking medicine and practicing hard for ten thousand years, he is really beyond expectation."
"Since you can see how miserable we are, will you still beat me?"
The old monk changed the subject and pinched a small distance between his thumb and index finger.
"How about you be kind enough to do me a small favor?"
