Chapter 857 Large Drone

Chapter 857 Large Drone

The drone that arrived in Mali with the Korovian peacekeeping force this time was the Jungle Wolf II drone developed by Sentinel.

This drone is an upgrade of the previous Jungle Wolf. Thanks to the use of more advanced batteries provided by the British Motor Group, the Jungle Wolf II drone is larger in size, nearly 2 meters in length, with a wingspan of 3.45 meters. It can carry more electronic equipment and has a battery life of up to 3 hours!
And unlike the disposable Jungle Coyote drone, the Jungle Coyote II drone can return to recharge and be used multiple times.

This will provide the Kolovrean peacekeeping force with more reconnaissance information and help them understand the situation on the surrounding battlefield.

The technicians who entered Mali with the Korov peacekeeping force this time belong to Sentinel. They will conduct actual combat tests on the Jungle Wolf II UAV to accumulate data for the launch of subsequent military models.

Of course, the Jungle Wolf II is still a small drone that uses batteries as power. Due to the limitations of current battery technology, it still cannot reach a scale of more than 8 meters like the Predator drone.

However, Standard Defense has hired a team with extensive experience in fighter jet development in the UK through a headhunting company. It will combine the team's experience in the drone field with Sentinel's to develop large drones in the UK.

The drone, internally codenamed Tiercel, will be fuel-powered and propelled by a turbine engine. Standard Defense is preparing to compete for military orders from the United States and Britain with this drone.

Although BAE Systems is already developing the "Thunderbolt" UAV project for large UAVs, Baron knows that as a cutting-edge UAV, the Thunderbolt is very expensive - its test prototype costs as much as 1.43 million pounds, so even if Britain and NATO are willing to purchase it, the quantity will not be too large.

This requires a larger drone that is "cheaper" and can meet basic needs, which is also the military procurement demand that Standard Defense is targeting.

In Standard Defense's plan, the Tiercel drone is basically comparable to General Atomics' Predator drone, and will reach or even exceed the technical data of this drone.

The aircraft is 8.27 meters long, has a wingspan of 14.87 meters, a maximum operating radius of 3700 kilometers, a maximum flight speed of 240 kilometers per hour, can stay in the air over the target for 24 hours, and has a maximum endurance of 60 hours.

The Predator is equipped with optoelectronic/infrared reconnaissance equipment, GPS navigation equipment and a synthetic aperture radar with all-weather reconnaissance capabilities. It has a resolution of 4000 meters at an altitude of 0.3 meters and a target positioning accuracy of 0.25 meters.

To this end, Standard Defense also recruited a number of technical talents from the United States for the large-scale UAV project established by Sentinel in the UK.

……

This time when Barron came to Colo, he brought Julia Moore with him.

She could also learn about Natasha, who was currently expecting her baby in Brittany - the two babies would be born in just over a month.

Although she could get detailed information in London even without coming in person, for Yulia, who was expectant but also nervous, coming in person would make her feel more at ease.

As mentioned before, the last operation successfully made Natasha pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl. Before giving birth, she needs to stay in Britta, the capital of Kolo.

Natasha lived in a guest room in Jupiter Building, Barron's mansion in Brittany.

Here there are special maids and medical staff to take care of Natasha. Of course, there will also be bodyguards responsible for protection and surveillance to ensure the safety of Natasha and the baby in her belly.

In fact, before coming to Kolo, Natasha was a little worried about this trip - after all, in her impression, Africa is very chaotic and poor, not to mention Kolo, a country she has never heard of. If there is a slightly better place, it may be South Africa. After all, if the cities in Africa are ranked at this time, at least three cities in South Africa can enter the top ten, which can be called the face of Africa.

However, after arriving in Brittany, Kolo, she finally felt relieved. The urban construction here is no worse than that of Ukraine. If the people she met in the city were not mostly black, she would not have known that this was a city in a small West African country.

It can also be clearly seen that the mental state of these Kolo people is relatively good. They are in a positive state with light in their eyes and hope in their hearts.

In fact, this is also thanks to Chloe's development over the years - if we go back to before 2003, Chloe at that time was in completely different states than she is now.

But even now, the Kolo government is still facing many challenges, the first of which is what they have been doing since the establishment of the new Kolo government - strengthening the national identity.

As we all know, almost all countries in Africa have been in war for quite a long time.

It can be said that the civil wars in African countries seen in various news reports are very normal things - it seems abnormal that no country in Africa is fighting a civil war.

The main reason for this is that most African countries do not have a strong sense of national identity. When European colonists came to Africa, slavery was still in place and there was not much of a concept of a country. Instead, the country was made up of individual tribes.

This can be seen from the map of Africa. The borders of modern African countries can be said to be like a few horizontal and vertical lines drawn by a person with a pen on the map - the fact is similar to this. The borders of most of these African countries do not have much historical heritage. They are determined by the colonists drawing lines at random on the map.

This results in the same ethnic group often being assigned to several countries, and one country having several ethnic groups with deep conflicts among them...

In addition, these countries have a very long history of being colonized. They all gained independence in the 1950s and 1960s in the global wave of national liberation, but they are still deeply influenced by colonialism. For example, old colonial countries such as Britain and France still have the ability to interfere in Africa in various ways. For the sake of their own interests, they do not want to see the stable development of these former colonies, so they can "make trouble" through tribal conflicts...

The consequence is that few African countries can enjoy long-term stable development and are always easily involved in wars.

Because of its small area, Kolo is considered a small country in Africa, but it still has many tribes.

Even during the previous military regime, many tribes exercised a certain degree of "autonomy".

That is, after the establishment of the new government of Kolo, the Kolo government finally slowly broke up these tribes through economic and military disintegration - and at Baron's request, they implemented a relatively neutral policy of equality among all ethnic groups, which finally allowed Kolo to have a certain degree of integrity.

In addition, they have been promoting "compulsory education", which has been strengthening national identity and weakening the concept of nation, and it has only now achieved some results.

However, these policies still need to be continued.

In addition, the native black people of Kolo are more lazy than those in Eurasia, which is also something the Kolo government has been guiding.
