Greek Mythology: The Spiritual Dominator.
138. Final remarks
End of volume remarks
(Ahem, I ended the first sentence with flowers because I also wrote the same in the first volume of my speech. There is no other meaning.)
The ending of "Spreading Flowers" has a total of 112 chapters and less than 300,000 words. The ending is a bit rushed, but that's the end of the second volume.
Strictly speaking, I personally feel that some places I wanted to write have been written, and some places have not been written. It may also be related to the need to have enough words to update. After all, it was promised at the beginning of the month that the first month of release will add 3000 words to the monthly ticket. It felt like it was a bit late, but it still came out.
It's all finished for now. The first month is almost over. It has 200,000 words, which is okay. There shouldn't be any additional updates in the remaining three days. After that, you can just go by your feelings depending on the situation.
Let’s talk about the content. As a newcomer, the first volume was actually more of a test of the waters, so it only had about 50,000 words. The writing was as simple as I wanted, and the starting tone was a bit high. I didn’t see any problems at the time, but it was a bit more difficult later on. At the end of the volume, there are only two lines, the spiritual world and the God King, but many changes were made in the second volume.
It can be regarded as an attempt at writing. I actually made a lot of different plans in the second volume. Some were quite successful, and some felt less successful. For example, in the section at the end of the volume, I experienced a lot of different lines at the same time, so it was inevitable to change the perspective. There will be problems. If you write this kind of content at the end of the volume later, just gathering two or three events will be enough. Too many branches will not only make the main line unclear, but also easily interrupted emotionally.
There is also the battle part. I probably haven’t seen much of Xihuanfeng’s depictions of divine battles, and I may not understand them either, so the writing has a somewhat fantasy feel. Fortunately, there won't be too many direct descriptions of divine battles in the next volume. There are still many books you can refer to for low-intensity battles, so just take them and study.
As for the issues with more explanations at the end of the volume, some readers said they didn’t understand them, but that’s about it. There is probably nothing to explain in the follow-up, except for the belief that may need to be explained in detail.
Finally, there is the issue of the title of the volume. I succeeded in making everyone forget that there is reincarnation, so that except for a few readers, no one asked me, "Where is the promised reincarnation?"
Of course, although the second volume is called [Reincarnation], the creation of reincarnation itself is indeed not important. In fact, for the protagonist himself, for the God King who plays a lot of roles, for the world, and even the reincarnation of some other gods are the main subject. At the end, Ryan finally understood the causes and consequences of his reincarnation.
Speaking of which, I actually thought someone would raise questions. After all, my setting itself was conflicting. Memory and wisdom were taken away by Ryan, but not those related to emotions. This is typical in the mythical world and is related to spirituality and material relations. Not much authority. But it’s okay if you don’t see it, so no one will say that the author eats books and is inconsistent before I tell the reasons, laugh.
That’s it for the second volume. In fact, there is still more to write, but some of the side branches will be too long, so I will mention them later, such as the birth of the centaur Chiron, what the goddess of lust, the god of destruction and others are doing, and the Titans Some things that happened during the war, as well as where Hecate's father went after confronting the God King, etc. In short, the second era is over.
The Third Age is the age of Zeus and mortals. There are a lot of stories about gods, and I’m trying to get through the bronze humans as quickly as possible, and then slow down the pace when the Age of Heroes arrives. In addition, if there is content that is inconsistent with the mythological description, there is more or less, don’t ask me why it is not xxx.
Yes, let me say the important thing again. If there are changes in the follow-up content of the myth, don't ask me why it is not xxx. On the one hand, the timeline of the myth itself is messy enough, and on the other hand, the change of the protagonist has no sense of existence.
Some characters who appear later in theory may be moved forward, and some may be moved later. For example, some famous figures from the Athenian city-state era will be moved forward to a certain extent. If there is a reason, it is the twist of fate. In addition, the system of the mortal kingdom will also change, and the city-state will become a kingdom. In line with the expanding geographical environment, I will try my best to give a change process.
In the third volume, the power of the gods on the earth will be limited, which is also related to the myth that the gods were defeated and deceived by mortals. It should go without saying that when writing myths, you must ultimately interpret them reasonably.
Finally, I named the third volume [Heaven and Earth Divide], which has various meanings, and I even didn’t think much of it myself, but let’s leave it at that.
that's all.
