Of course, this is a system-level chip that integrates CPU, GPU, baseband and other modules.
If it was just a separate baseband chip, it would be smaller.
Inside the SOC chip, the baseband only occupies about 10 square millimeters, but a separate baseband chip is generally around 30-70 square millimeters.
After all, the separate baseband chip and many modules cannot be shared with the processor, so they all need to be configured again.
The Kirin 5 with integrated 990G baseband is approximately 113 square millimeters.
The Kirin 980 without integrated baseband is approximately 75 square millimeters.
The external 5G baseband Balong 5000 is about 85.83 square millimeters. It is a very special baseband and one of the few basebands that is larger than the chip.

Kunpeng 700 and Kunpeng 702 are both chips with integrated baseband, so their area is naturally larger, at 100 square millimeters.
The Wing Loong 3000 baseband only takes up 50 square millimeters.
A total of two wafers were used in this tape-out, producing 512 Kunpeng 700s, 512 Kunpeng 702s, and 512 Wing Loong 3000s.
