Daughter of aristocratic family

Chapter 43 Reclining Buddha

Chapter 43 Reclining Buddha
When I walked over, I realized that it was not an open space, but a small stream with clear water and several large rocks lying beside it.

"Hey, there are words engraved on this stone." Zhao Shuqing said in surprise.

"What a fuss, no knowledge." Zhao Shuangzhi said with disgust.

"You are knowledgeable, please read out the poem on this stone." Zhao Jiahua said to her.

Zhao Shuangzhi stopped answering. The words carved on the stone were in Sanskrit, which she didn't recognize.

"I don't know." Zhao Jiahua gave her a roll of his eyes.

Zhao Shuangzhi refused to admit defeat and shouted: "I don't know him, do you know him? You are still ignorant."

"I know him." Liu Shuqing interrupted.

Zhao Jiahua was overjoyed when he heard this, "Did you hear that? It doesn't matter if I don't know her. My cousin knows her, so it's the same as knowing me."

As he spoke, he took Liu Shuqing's hand and pulled her to the stone, "Cousin, read the poem to her."

"Okay." Liu Shuqing smiled softly, "The gurgling stream is deep in the ancient temple, and the Zen philosophy is long understood in my heart. The prosperity of the world is just a passer-by, listen to the flowing water and understand life."

Zhao Shuangzhi snorted coldly, "Who knows if she read it correctly? Maybe she was making up nonsense to help you support the scene."

"Let's go to the temple and ask Master to see if it's my cousin who's telling nonsense, or you're just being stubborn because you don't know anything." Zhao Jiahua stitched together.

"I, I'm too lazy to tell you." Zhao Shuangzhi stomped his feet bitterly and returned the way he came.

"It's just a mistake. You don't bother to tell me." Zhao Jiahua said angrily.

The two have become accustomed to bickering, and everyone has evolved from the initial nervous persuasion to now turning a blind eye.

"Hey, there are rocks here. You can go to the opposite side. Do we want to go there?" Zhao Yuxiu asked, standing not far away.

"We've already come here, I must go over and have a look." Zhao Yuying raised her head and said despite her busy schedule.

After hearing this, Zhao Yuxiu jumped on the first building stone, and then jumped on the second building stone.

"Sister Xiu, please walk over carefully and don't jump. If you don't jump well, you'll be in trouble if you fall into the water." Zhao Wangshu saw it and hurriedly dissuaded her.

"The water is not deep and cannot be submerged." Zhao Yuxiu said with a smile.

"Although it has already entered summer, the streams in the mountains are still very cold. If you fall into the water, you will catch the cold and get sick." Zhao Wangshu said.

"Sister Shu, don't worry, I won't fall." Zhao Yuxiu said confidently.

But when she jumped to the third stone, she staggered and almost slipped. She was so frightened that she slapped her chest.

Everyone laughed and said, "Look, it's a slap in the face."

Zhao Yuxiu stuck out her tongue. She didn't dare to jump on the last two stones, so she walked over them honestly.

On the other side of the creek, a stone's throw away along a path, a mysterious hill comes into view.

The shape of the mountain bag is like a peacefully sleeping Buddha statue. A stone incense table is placed in front of the Buddha statue. The incense burner is full of incense ashes. There are three burning incense sticks standing quietly. It can be seen that this reclining Buddha is enshrined in the temple. .

"It's really a miraculous craftsmanship!" Zhao Shuqing sighed.

Zhao Yuxiu looked around and said, "Why is there no one watching? Aren't you worried that someone will dig up this reclining Buddha?"

"Pfft." Everyone laughed, and Zhao Wangshu reached out and tapped her head gently, "You think everyone is a fool."

"Besides, where should you put such a big reclining Buddha after you dig it out?" Zhao Jiahua asked jokingly.

Zhao Yuxiu covered her face with her hands, "Oh no, I'm stupid again."

"There is a stone box under this incense case. Should we open it and see what's inside?" Zhao Yuying asked.

"Probably incense and flint." Zhao Wangshu guessed. After opening it, it turned out that it was indeed the case. Zhao Yuying praised: "Sister Shu, you are so smart."

"Obviously, the temple is a bit far away from here, and it would be too troublesome to bring incense and flint here every day." Zhao Wangshu explained simply.

Zhao Yuying smiled, "I didn't expect the obvious thing, so Sister Shu is still smart."

"It's so sweet. It's a pity that I don't have any candy." Zhao Wangshu smiled and looked to the left. There was a big tree with dense leaves there. It was nothing special, but why did she feel like someone was watching her there?
Illusion, it should be an illusion.

Zhao Wangshu withdrew her gaze. She never thought that there was a person sitting among the branches and leaves, watching them.

Yun Hao was surprised by Zhao Wangshu's sensitivity and immediately became motionless, holding his breath and reducing his sense of presence.

There was a chirping sound under the tree, and a rabbit jumped out from the grass. Zhao Yuxiu shouted happily: "Catch it, catch it quickly, we can add some food."

"Amitabha, there are people near the temple who want to kill and eat meat. It's a sin, Bodhisattva, don't blame me." Zhao Wangshu clasped his hands together and said seriously.

"Sister Xiu, if you break the meat-eating precept, you will fall into the prison of hungry dogs." Zhao Jiahua threatened her.

Zhao Yuxiu was so frightened that she waved her hands repeatedly, "I won't eat, I won't eat."

Seeing her panic made everyone laugh. The rabbit had already jumped into the grass and disappeared without a trace.

At this time, the sound of bells came from the distance. It was the temple notifying everyone to go to the dining hall and have lunch.

"Go back quickly. If you miss it, you won't have anything to eat." Zhao Yuxiu said anxiously. She had finished eating the pastries she brought yesterday. She didn't want to go hungry at all.

Everyone hurried back in a hurry, but luckily they came back in time and didn't miss the noon meal.

In the afternoon, the girls had to follow the old ladies and ladies to the Sutra Hall to listen to the master's sermons. After all, they came to worship the Buddha, not to play.

The same master was still teaching the Shurangama Sutra, and Zhao Wangshu was still listening to it as if it were a heavenly book. In Buddhist terms, she did not have such a Buddhist connection.

Zifu Temple is quite large, so girls from the four prefectures can only be encountered during fasting meals and morning and evening classes, but not at other times.

It was a coincidence that I saw Liu Furong, the eldest daughter of the Duke of Yong's Palace, and Xie Lanyin, the third daughter of the concubine of the Marquis of Yongchang.

"You're blind if you can't put it on the table!" Liu Furong scolded.

"You are a piece of shit, a piece of shit that spits shit." Xie Lanyin scolded back unwilling to be outdone.

"As a concubine, I am humble, my words are vulgar, and I am ashamed to be in the same temple as you." Liu Furong said proudly.

Xie Lanyin sneered, "I am a concubine, and you are just the stepdaughter of the second wife of the Duke's mansion. Don't look down on others."

The two of them were quarreling so much that the other girls in the two houses would only say, "Stop the quarrel, stop it." They couldn't persuade them at all.

"Let's go another way." Zhao Wangshu didn't want to meddle in other people's business.

However, Zhao Shuqing walked over and said, "You two girls, please don't make any noise in the temple. Please stop making noise."

Liu Furong and Xie Lanyin looked at her at the same time and said in unison: "Who are you? You dare to interfere with my affairs."

"I am from the Zhao family." Zhao Shuqing said timidly.

"No matter which family you are from, get out of here." The two said the same thing again.

Zhao Shuqing seemed frightened by their harsh scoldings and took two steps back.

Fortunately, at this moment, a monk in gray robes came over and said in a deep voice: "Two donors, please calm down your anger. No noise is allowed in this important place of Buddhism."

Liu Furong and Xie Lanyin didn't want to argue anymore, so they left separately under the pull of their sisters.
