The second layer uses silk thread or absorbable thread to perform full-thickness interrupted suturing of the intestinal wall. Yu Shifu also uses silk thread here.

After completing this step, it is time to repair the posterior rectal wall, which is usually sutured in two layers. Yu Shifu first performed continuous inversion sutures on the inner layer, that is, the muscularis mucosae, and then sutured the seromuscular layer. Sometimes, interrupted inversion sutures are used.

At this point, it is basically the final stage.

The anus has been completely dug out, and an artificial anostomy will be performed next.

This can be said to be an alternative to the anus.

It was also the first time for Wu Xiaofu to see an artificial anostomy. He saw that Yu Shifu made an incision about 3cm in diameter on the left side of the abdominal wall. Then he pulled out the stoma intestinal tube from the incision, sutured and fixed the intestinal tube, and fixed it on the intestinal tube. After the incision, you can see the intestinal contents begin to flow out. It sounds difficult, but after seeing it, it is really not difficult.

In fact, the anus is gone, and an opening is made in the stomach, and the intestines are pulled out, allowing the contents to come out directly.

It's like omitting the anus step. Well, there are also benefits. You don't have to exert force when you defecate in the future.

It’s no different than a urology department placing a tube in your belly to drain urine.

It's just that no one hopes to use this benefit one day.
