Chapter 427: Laozi's Conscience

Chapter 427: Laozi's Conscience
Standing in the Bajing Palace and looking around, an incomparable sense of shock comes over you.

Ji Ren looked around at everything, sensing the mysteries in all directions. For a split second, he seemed to have seen the truth of heaven and earth. But the next moment, a horrifying stream of information flooded into his brain, and his head immediately went blank, as if someone had hit him hard on the back of the head with a hammer.

On the futon, Laozi frowned slightly when he saw this, moved his fingers slightly, and a ray of inspiration flew into Ji Ren's mind.

The way of the divine eye is to observe.

Observe all things in the universe, and you will understand the three thousand laws clearly.

Therefore, those who cultivate the divine eye need to travel and observe constantly.

Increase your knowledge and raise your limits.

But there is a prerequisite, that is, what you see cannot exceed the upper limit.

And the Bajing Palace he created, even if it was just an illusion, was not something that Ji Ren could afford now.

The little kids want to see everything. Didn’t Yu Ding teach them that?

Laozi complained secretly in his heart, while Ji Ren was confused and knew nothing.

The information captured by the Sky Eye was too huge and was absorbed all at once. Although Ji Ren's brain did not become demented due to Laozi's protection, the CPU was overloaded and could not operate.

After a long time, Ji Ren managed to recover a little, but he was still in a daze, with a dull expression, like a fool. A voice came to his ears, which was vicissitudes, ethereal and unpredictable, as if it came from the vast chaos.

"What is Tao?"

These three concise words carried a certain sacred and majestic power, like the sound of heaven, shaking the universe and pointing directly to Ji Ren's heart, forcing Ji Ren to answer and not to lie.

However, Ji Ren, whose brain was not fully awake at the moment, would not lie at all. When asked, he said confidently, "I don't know."

What is Tao?
How would I know such a profound question?

Tao, Fa, and Shu.

I haven’t even learned the technique thoroughly yet, and haven’t even touched the edge of the law, and you ask me what the Tao is?

Isn't this the same as asking an elementary school student how to solve a high-level math problem?

How could I possibly know?
Doesn't the questioner use his brain?

Sensing Ji Ren's inner voice, Laozi looked subtle, and then asked casually, "What is heaven?"

"The sky."

Ji Ren’s response this time was even more natural.

Sky, the thing above your head, the sky.

Or Biluo?

Sitting on the mat, Laozi frowned, which was rare for him, and looked at Ji Ren with a strange expression.

firmament.

Why don't you say the sky is the sky?
Didn’t you say you’ve been accepting disciples for almost three years?

I don’t know what Tao is, and I don’t know what Heaven is.

What did Yu Ding teach?

Laozi thought about it, stretched out a hand, crossed countless voids, and slapped Jade Ding Zhenren who was practicing in Da Qi on the top of his head.

Without any warning, he was hit on the back of the head and fell to the ground, looking really miserable.

Jade Ding Zhenren looked up, his face full of shock. Who is it?

Is there anyone in this world who can attack him silently?
Before Jade Ding Zhenren could figure it out, he suddenly found a strong magical power surging in his body. A rough estimate showed that it was at least a thousand years old. He realized something and hurriedly absorbed this magical power and practiced diligently.

After slapping him, I withdrew my hand.

Ji Ren is now mentally retarded, and he is also a disciple's grandson, so it is not appropriate to hit him.

It’s better to have Master Da Yuding.

But Yu Ding is a mortal now, so it’s not good to hit him like this, so he might as well give him some magic power.

After the thought came to light, Laozi looked at Ji Ren and asked, "What is the Way of Heaven?"

"Laws. The sun rises and the moon sets, flowers bloom and fade, heaven and earth cycle, and the four seasons alternate. Everything in heaven and earth has its own laws, and the laws of everything exist objectively and can be observed. This is the way of heaven. Therefore, our ancient ancestors looked up at the sky to observe the phenomena, and looked down at the earth to observe the laws. They observed the way heaven and earth operated, and turned it into their own use, mastering the way of heaven and avoiding disaster." Ji Rendao.

The "Taishang Laojun Shuo Changqingjing Jing" states that "The Great Way is invisible, giving birth to heaven and earth; the Great Way is emotionless, running the sun and the moon; the Great Way is nameless, nourishing all things; I do not know its name, so I call it the Way."

The so-called Tao is the law. Everything in the world, from the chaos of primordial chaos, has its own rules. The collection of rules, in ancient times, was not known what to call it, but it was called the Way of Heaven.

“The laws of all things exist objectively.”

Lao Tzu's brows relaxed slightly. Although it seemed a little bit wrong and not like the Taoist tone, the essence of what he said was not bad.

Yu Ding has a pretty good eye.

"What is destiny?"

Lao Tzu asked again.

"Another name for the Way of Heaven, the law of all things, so we control the destiny of heaven and use it. We cultivators study the Way of Heaven, obey the destiny of heaven, and realize longevity." Ji Ren said.

"Follow the way of heaven, obey the will of heaven, and realize longevity." Laozi had a blank expression on his face and asked again, "What about the will of heaven?"

"Everyone's fortune is different. Some are prosperous and blessed, and even if they do nothing, they can still be rich. Some are unlucky, and no matter how hard they try, nothing can help. Those with prosperous fortunes can indeed be said to have a destiny. But in the final analysis, the so-called destiny is just good luck." Ji Ren said.

"shallow."

After hearing this, I gave a comment.

It seems that Yu Ding really didn't teach me anything.

"Yes, you are not superficial." Ji Ren replied subconsciously.

Laozi raised his eyebrows slightly, his expression slightly subtle. For many years, no one dared to speak like this in front of him. He said: "The development of all races in the world has its own way, but the destiny is determined by heaven, such as the replacement of dynasties, the demise of Shang and the rise of Zhou. This is the destiny of heaven."

"Bullshit."

Ji Ren said without hesitation: "The laws of nature are constant. They do not exist for the sake of Yao or die for the sake of Jie. Heaven and earth are ruthless. No matter whether it is Emperor Yao or Jie, they are no different to heaven and earth. The demise of Shang and the rise of Zhou were the result of the decline of the power of the Shang Dynasty. It was the joint efforts of three generations of Ji Li, Ji Chang, and Ji Fa who developed the Western Zhou Dynasty, gradually clipped the wings of the Shang Dynasty, and finally conquered Chaoge."

Listening to Ji Ren's words, Laozi looked calm and did not get angry. He said, "This is just what you saw. However, in fact, because the destiny of the Zhou Dynasty was destined to last for 800 years, the heavens determined the Zhou Dynasty, so the Shang Dynasty destroyed the Zhou Dynasty and the immortals helped the Great Zhou Dynasty. It has nothing to do with the three generations of Ji Li. Regardless of whether they are virtuous or not, they will replace the Great Shang Dynasty."

"Impossible. God won't do that." Ji Ren said firmly.

"What if that's how heaven wants you to be, and it's fate that you're going to die?" Laozi's expression suddenly changed, and for the first time in history, he spoke with a terrifying aura.

"Impossible, Heaven won't, and certainly can't." Ji Ren's words were still firm. "The Great Dao is invisible, emotionless, and nameless. The Great Dao is a dead thing. If the Dao had a form, emotion, name, and a will to determine how the heaven and earth operated, it would be nothing more than the rules becoming spirits. From the moment he became a spirit, he was no longer Heaven's Dao. On the contrary, his fate was within Heaven's Dao."

The Tao is the root of all things.

In his previous life, Ji Ren had read many fantasy novels, many of which had villains like God or fate.

In the end, the protagonist defeated the heaven and transcended fate.

Among them, the funniest thing is that the Heaven is high above and manipulates fate, and the protagonist is born to be an emperor, so he can rebel against Heaven, and man can conquer nature. Countless people are shocked and worship him.

On one side is the destiny of being a natural emperor, on the other side is man can conquer nature.

It's all fate, how can man conquer nature?

Moreover, if the Way of Heaven cannot even control the fate of the people in his own world, how can it be worthy of being called the Way of Heaven?

Please don't lower the standard of the Way of Heaven.

The so-called Way of Heaven should at least have the right to interpret all the laws within its own world.

In Ji Ren's view, most of the so-called "Heavenly Way" are just the most powerful creatures in the world at that time, and they can only supervise the world. They have no power to tamper with the laws of the world, such as the mutual generation and restraint of the five elements, and can only follow them obediently.

There is also the so-called destiny. When destiny consciously manipulates the fate of all living beings, then this so-called "destiny" will also become one of all living beings.

"If the rules become spirits, and the Way of Heaven has spirits, then the Way of Heaven is no longer the Way of Heaven?" Laozi listened to Ji Ren's words, and for the first time, a hint of admiration appeared on his face. "What if the Way of Heaven becomes a spirit and wants to kill you?"

"The sky is dead, and the sky is dead."

Ji Ren heard this and said without thinking.

After hearing these eight words, Lao Tzu finally smiled. That's right, follow the Way of Heaven and don't be confused by its appearance. People in the world are ignorant and think that birth, old age, sickness and death are the laws of Heaven. Practicing Taoism to escape birth, old age, sickness and death is going against Heaven. They have never thought that isn't practicing Taoism permitted by Heaven?

The Way of Heaven is ruthless and selfless, so people respect Heaven. If the Way of Heaven were living beings, with emotions and selfishness, then it would naturally have to be changed.

Huang Jiao doesn't have this blessing.

However, he is a central immortal with the earth element, which does not match Gonggong, who has the water element.

Thinking of this, Laozi stretched out another hand and patted Ji Ren on the head. In Ji Ren's second palace, Gonggong's Dharma image was completely hidden. Except for him, even the Heavenly Dao could not find it.
