On the three-tiered jade platform, above the nine-tiered heavenly steps, the Golden Emperor of Heaven, wearing a twelve-tasseled crown and a robe with patterned ornaments, sat high on the throne, overlooking the nine heavens and ten earths.

One god was puzzled: "Your Majesty, why do you think so highly of Jiang Sheng?"

Emperor Jinque Tiandi said with a smile: "Isn't this child Jiang Sheng worthy of your attention?"

The god said quickly: "I don't doubt your majesty's judgment, but..."

Emperor Jinque Tiandi smiled and said, "But Jiang Sheng is from the Mountain and River Realm after all, and he is also a disciple of the Penglai Dao Sect. He is not like me, so he must have ulterior motives, right?"

"Go and embark on your path. Remember, don't try to learn from your teacher. You can imitate your teacher, but don't try to be like your teacher."

Jiang Sheng waved his hand: "If you go with me, what will happen to your parents? First fulfill your filial duty, then talk about other things."

Travel through the ten lands and roam the world.

This kind of continent where humanity is flourishing and the atmosphere of the world is rising to the sky is another kind of experience for Jiang Sheng.

Changzhou is rich in resources and has a stable and peaceful environment, so people are at peace and bandits are rare. It is even rarer to see evil spirits harming people.

Jiang Sheng spent three years observing the mundane world here, seeing the peace and tranquility. He then spent another five years traveling around Changzhou, and still discovered some sufferings that were inevitable in the world.

That is, birth, old age, sickness and death.

Even the most ambitious emperor will eventually grow old, and even the richest man in the world will eventually suffer from illness and pain. If this is the case for officials, let alone ordinary people.

Birth, aging, sickness and death are ultimately obstacles that ordinary people cannot avoid.

Jiang Sheng quietly observed the separation of life and death, and enlightenment arose in his heart.

Relieving suffering and relieving difficulties in the world is only one of the Taoist missions; saving the blessed and virtuous and helping innocent people to reincarnate is also a Taoist mission.

It is a great merit to help those with good fortune to be reborn and to eliminate the karma of those with sins, but it also requires great perseverance.

Jiang Sheng's heart was moved, and he went to Fenglinzhou to observe the behavior of the monster tribe. The monster tribe was also subject to birth, aging, sickness and death, and being weak was a natural sin for the monster tribe.

Even in places where humanity is flourishing, it is inevitable that the sick and the elderly will be abandoned, let alone the demon tribe?
After expressing his feelings, Jiang Sheng finally set foot on the land of Zuzhou.

In Zuzhou, Jiang Sheng met Ye Wenshu again.

After traveling in Panfeng for more than sixty years and seeing all the human worlds in the ten lands, Jiang Sheng's character is far different from before. Apart from the vast immortal aura, his indifferent expression has dissipated a lot, and he has become more human. Jiang Sheng's heart of Taoism has also become brighter.

Ye Wenshu said meaningfully: "The Taoist's state of mind is extraordinary."

Jiang Sheng said sternly: "Seeing the sentient beings of the ten realms and observing the worldly affairs, one will eventually understand one's own heart."

Ye Wenshu asked: "Oh? Where does one's heart come from? For the world or for all living beings?"

Jiang Sheng shook his head: "Not for the heaven and earth, not for all living beings, there are so many sufferings in the world, so many hardships in the world."

"It is for this reason that we cultivate the Tao and attain a state of no disaster, no disease, no calamity, and no difficulty."

“Therefore, seeing the world will reveal the true meaning of heaven, one’s own heart must be for oneself, observing the world will reveal one’s true self, and understanding heaven and earth will reveal nature.”

"My heart is as clear as a mirror. Everything I do is for my own sake. It has been like this from the beginning to the end."

When Jiang Sheng said this, the light behind his head that had been hidden for who knows how long began to reappear bit by bit.

First there was a bright light, then a clear light was emitted, and gradually it turned into a round and flawless light.

The center of the light is that faint spiritual light.

That little bit of spiritual light, mysterious and profound, is called the fruit of the Tao. (End of this chapter)
