Chapter 285 Zhang Juzheng
My charming and short-lived ancestor: Hahahahaha, it means that Yang Ge has worked hard to take care of his children.
Jiangnan has been in mist: Agreed! But having said that, the one who has the hardest time should be the British public.
I didn’t think about using this as my online name first: Yes! And to be honest, every British public in the Ming Dynasty felt that they were so reliable.
I don’t want to go home at sunset: I agree, but the most reliable British man is Zhang Fu.
I didn’t think about using this online name first: Yes, but to be honest, Zhang Fu was really one of the most powerful military generals in the Ming Dynasty.
Yu Yusning: Agreed!
Yun Xi: And to be honest, Zhang Fu is very reliable whether in the hands of Zhu Di or Zhu Zhanji! It’s just that hot chick Zhu Qizhen who can’t do it!
Wan Ning can’t sleep acridine (Guan): Yes, it’s true that Zhang Fu is still tormenting others at such an old age. What’s the difference between Zhu Yunwen and Geng Bingwen beating Zhu Di?
Kick the lame man's good leg wildly: Agreed!
Ming Dynasty
Zhu Yuanzhang was very angry here. That is to say, although Zhu Zhanji said that some parts were unreliable, he could still see through it.
Zhu Qizhen looks like his mother has a genetic mutation.
Why is he so unlike our old Zhu family’s cub?
Zhu Di looked at the sky and wanted to hit the child again.
But Tianmu said that Zhanji will not live long and cannot be beaten!
And after talking to the kid Xuande a few days ago, he always felt sorry for the kid.
"Zhu Gaoxu! Get here here!"
Zhu Di snorted and pulled Zhu Gaoxu back.
Zhu Zhanji sighed, bowed to Zhang Fu as a junior, and said, "Zhanji has no way of teaching his son, I'm sorry for bothering the general."
Zhang Fu waved his hand and said: "The old man is already very old. It is not bad to die on the battlefield. Your Majesty, there is no need to blame yourself. This has nothing to do with you."
Zhu Zhanji forced a smile, is it okay? How can it be.
Su Yue clicked on the PPT and said: "Okay! Now let's take a look at the last one! This one is the most outstanding chief assistant in the Ming Dynasty-Zhang Juzheng!"
Smart young man
Zhang Juzheng was born in the home of a scholar in Jiangling County, Jingzhou Prefecture (today's JZ City, HUB Province). , It is said that before Zhang Juzheng was born, his great-grandfather had a dream. In the dream, a full moon fell in a water urn, illuminating the surrounding area with light, and then a white turtle slowly emerged from the water.
The great-grandfather believed that Bai Gui was his great-grandson, so he gave him the nickname "Bai Gui", hoping that he would be able to honor his ancestors in the future.
Zhang Juzheng was extremely intelligent as a young boy and became a well-known child prodigy in Jingzhou Prefecture at a very young age.
In the fifteenth year of Jiajing (1536), -year-old Zhang Juzheng took part in the children's examination. His cleverness won the affection of Li Shi'ao, the prefect of Jingzhou. Li Shi'ao told Xiao Bai Gui to be ambitious since childhood and to serve the country loyally when he grew up, and changed his name. To "stay upright".
In the same year, Zhang Juzheng became a student of Bufu.
In the 1537th year of Jiajing (), Zhang Juzheng took part in the provincial examination, but was blocked by Gu Lin, governor of Huguang, and failed.
The reason is that he hopes to hone Zhang Juzheng more to become a great person.
In the 1540th year of Jiajing (), the talented and arrogant Zhang Juzheng successfully passed the provincial examination and became a young scholar.
Gu Lin admired him very much and once said to others, "This son will be a talented person." He took off his rhinoceros belt and gave it to Ju Zheng: "I hope you will set up lofty ambitions, be like Yi Yin or Yan Yuan, and don't just become famous as a young boy." "
In the twenty-sixth year of Jiajing (1547), -year-old Zhang Juzheng ranked ninth in the second class and was awarded the title of Shujishi.
Promotion in officialdom
Zhang Juzheng was selected as a Shujishi, and he was taught by Xu Jie, an important minister in the cabinet.
Xu Jie attached great importance to the knowledge of economic development and economic development. Under his guidance, Zhang Juzheng worked hard to study the ancient laws and regulations of the country, which laid a solid foundation for him to enter the political arena in the future. In the early Ming Dynasty, in order to strengthen the autocratic monarchy, the prime minister was abolished and a cabinet was established, whose functions were equivalent to the emperor's secretarial office.
The chief cabinet bachelor is called the chief assistant. When Zhang Juzheng entered the Hanlin Academy to study, a fierce political struggle was going on in the cabinet.
There were only two bachelors in the cabinet, Xia Yan and Yan Song. They competed for the position of first assistant. After Xia Yan won the first assistant, he was slandered and killed by Yan Song. Yan Song became the first assistant of the cabinet.
Regarding the cabinet struggle, Zhang Juzheng gained an intuitive understanding of the political corruption and border deficiencies of the imperial court through several years of cold-eyed observation.
For this reason, in the twenty-eighth year of Jiajing (1549), Zhang Juzheng systematically elaborated on his ideas for reforming politics in his "On Current Affairs", which first mentioned one disease of "congestion of blood and qi", and then referred to the five diseases of "bloat, impotence and paralysis". .
But these did not attract the attention of Ming Shizong and Yan Song.
After that, during the Jiajing Dynasty, except for routine memorials, Zhang Juzheng never gave any memorials.
In the thirty-third year of Jiajing (1554), Zhang Juzheng asked for leave due to illness and left the capital and came to his hometown Jiangling.
During his three-year break, he began to travel. During these three years, Zhang Juzheng visited many scenic spots and historic sites, which made him discover new problems. He said in "Inscriptions on Jingzhou Prefecture": "The land tax is uneven, the poor are unemployed, and the people are suffering from annexation."
All this made him moved with compassion, and his sense of responsibility made him return to politics.
In the thirty-sixth year of Jiajing's reign (1557), Zhang Juzheng returned to serve in the Hanlin Academy.
He gradually matured in his depressed thinking. In the political turmoil, he imitated his teacher Xu Jie, who was independent in his inner life, had no trace of his external desires, and moved with the camera.
In the forty-third year of Jiajing's reign (1564), Zhang Juzheng entered the palace in Youchunfang, Youyude, and served as the Imperial College Supervisor. Xu Jie recommended Zhang Juzheng as the minister of Emperor Yu Wang Zhu Zaijing.
During his stay in Yudi, Zhang Juzheng served as the Secretary of the Imperial College and gained control of many people who might enter the officialdom in the future. This opened up a network of contacts for Zhang Juzheng.
After the death of Ming Shizong in the forty-fifth year of Jiajing (1566), Xu Jie drafted a posthumous edict and induced Zhang Juzheng to conspire with him.
Soon Zhang Juzheng was promoted to the right minister of the Ministry of Rites and a bachelor of the Hanlin Academy.
More than a month later, he entered the cabinet together with Chen Yiqin, the former lecturer of King Yu's Qiandi, while Zhang Juzheng was the left minister of the Ministry of Personnel and the bachelor of Dongge.
Ranked second
In the first year of Longqing (1567), Zhang Juzheng, as a former minister of Prince Yu's palace, was promoted to the left minister of the Ministry of Personnel and the bachelor of Dongge, entered the cabinet, and participated in the government affairs.
In April of the same year, he was appointed as the Minister of Rites and the Bachelor of Wuyingdian. He finally "reached the top" in the secret contest.
After Zhang Juzheng entered the cabinet, the refugees of the Ming Dynasty were scattered, the disaster was occurring, the country's treasury was empty, and funds were scarce. Moreover, the northern Tatars invaded the Central Plains and created the "Gengxu Rebellion", the southern chieftains fought for power, and Cen Meng rebelled. , "Two Rivers were shocked", Japanese pirates from the southeast harassed the coastal areas, and the people were in dire straits.
In addition, the political struggle within the cabinet is becoming increasingly fierce.
After the fall of Yan Song in the 1562st year of Jiajing (), Xu Jie succeeded him as the first assistant.
He and Zhang Juzheng jointly drafted the imperial edict of King Sejong, which corrected the shortcomings of building temples, rituals, and large-scale construction projects during the King Sejong period, and restored official posts to diligent courtiers who had been convicted of unjust cases, which was widely recognized by the government and the public.
