Chapter 67 Li Jing
汉朝
Liu Che was excited and said: "Will the next one be cured? Hahahahaha, indeed, our Han Dynasty is blessed by heaven."

Although Huo Qubing didn't want to irritate him, he still said sincerely: "Your Majesty, that is to say, it is possible that she will not talk about me anymore. After all, she has already mentioned me once. So far, there are not many people who have systematically mentioned me twice."

Liu Che's blood pressure suddenly soared, but looking at Huo Qubing with bright eyes at the side, he still suppressed it.

This is to cure a disease, not a fight!
Su Yue lived up to expectations and said: "Originally the next one should be the champion, but we have said it before, so let's just say Li Jing!"

Divorced and raising two children: Li Jing, the King of Tota? Or Li Jing, the commander-in-chief of Chentangguan?
Not allowed to grow old in the world: Although these two are also very famous, this Li Jing should be Li Jing, the military god of the Tang Dynasty.

Wan Ning can't sleep: Indeed, Li Jing seems to be one of the twenty-four heroes of Lingyan Pavilion, right?
Lian Lian: Yes, yes, after all, Li Jing is very impressive.

Su Yue opened the folder and said, "Okay, let's take a look at Li Jing's profile!"

Li Jing (571 AD - July 649, 7), also known as Pharmacist (his real name is Pharmacist), was born in Sanyuan, Yongzhou (now Sanyuan County, Shaanxi Province), and his ancestral home was Didao, Longxi (now Lintao County, Gansu Province). An outstanding military strategist from the late Sui Dynasty to the early Tang Dynasty.

Li Jing was born in the Li family of Longxi. He first served as an official in the Sui Dynasty and worshiped the magistrate of Mayi County. Later, he transferred to the Tang Dynasty and followed the Qin King Li Shimin to attack Wang Shichong. In the third year of Wude (620), he assisted Li Xiaogong, the king of Zhaojun, in Nanping Xiao Xian and Fu Gong'er, and recruited various tribes in Lingnan.

Beginning in the eighth year of Wude (625), he resisted the DTZ invasion in northern Xinjiang. In the third year of Zhenguan (629), he took charge of the march of Dingxiang Road and led the president's generals to march north. He attacked Dingxiang with three thousand elite cavalry at night and made Jieli Khan The troops were frightened and collapsed, and they rushed to the Yinshan Mountains, destroying the DTZ in one fell swoop, causing the Tang Dynasty's territory to extend from the north of the Yinshan Mountains to the desert. Because of his merits, he worshiped Shangshu Youpushe and was granted the title of Duke of the country. In the ninth year of Zhenguan (635), he resigned due to foot illness. In the same year, he was appointed again and led the army to the west to attack Tuyuhun. Later, he was granted the title of Duke of Wei, and was known as "Gong Li of Wei" in the world.

In his later years, he was often ill, kept his doors closed, and did not interfere with political affairs. In the 643th year of Zhenguan (649), he was listed among the "Twenty-Four Heroes of Lingyan Pavilion". In the twenty-third year of Zhenguan (), Li Jing died of illness at the age of seventy-nine.

The book was presented to Situ and the governor of Bingzhou, with the posthumous title "Jingwu", and was buried with Zhaoling. During the reign of Emperor Suzong of the Tang Dynasty, he enjoyed the temple of King Wucheng and was ranked among the ten wise men. After the late Tang Dynasty, it gradually became deified. In the later Jin Dynasty, he was posthumously named "King Lingxian", and in the Southern Song Dynasty, he was successively named "King Lingyou Zhonglie".

Li Jing fought for decades throughout his life and made great achievements in the establishment and development of the Tang Dynasty.

Historians praised: "Those who are known as famous generals in modern times are Ying Gong and Wei Gong, Chengyan Pavilion is the best." His experience in military management and combat further enriched ancient Chinese military thought and theory of war.

He is the author of many military books such as "The Mirror of the Sixth Army" and "The Art of War of the Duke of Wei", most of which have been lost. According to legend, "Tang Taizong Li Weigong's Questions and Answers" in which he discussed military affairs with Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty was a thorough analysis, especially the analysis of Sun Wu's thoughts on the art of war, which had a great influence on later generations.

My charming but short-lived ancestor: Boo hoo hoo, it’s a pity that in his later years Li Jing didn’t even dare to close the door, for fear that some people would say that he formed a clique for personal gain.

Not allowed to grow old in the world: it is, it is a pity.

I send my longing to the bright moon: woo woo woo, my heart aches!

They were very happy to finally talk about their Tang Dynasty, but when they said this all of a sudden, Li Shimin's smile froze on his face.

Oh my god, I'm most afraid of the sudden silence in the air.

Su Yue's voice broke the calm and said: "Let's read two short stories!"

Works that tell the story
Li Jing observed events clearly and was good at seeing the smallest details. Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, asked him to teach Hou Junji the art of war. Later, Hou Junji reported to Li Shimin that Li Jing would rebel because Li Jing did not teach the subtleties. After hearing this, Li Shimin blamed Li Jing, but Li Jing replied: "This is Hou Junji's attempt to rebel.

Now that the Central Plains is stable, the art of war I taught him is enough to control the barbarians. Now Hou Jun is gathering to learn the art of war from his ministers, and he will have great ambitions. "At this time, Hou Junji had not shown any signs of rebellion, and Li Shimin seemed not to believe it. Once, when he was returning to Shangshu Province, Hou Junji rode a horse and crossed the provincial gate for several steps without being noticed.

When Li Jing saw this situation, he said to people: "Hou Junji does not care about others and will definitely rebel."

In April of the seventeenth year of Zhenguan (643), Hou Junji indeed rebelled against Prince Li Chengqian and was killed after the incident was exposed, proving that Li Jing's prediction was accurate.

Difficult to cure the disease
According to "Jia Hua of the Sui and Tang Dynasties", Li Shimin came to visit Li Jing when he was conquering Liao Dynasty. Li Jing wanted to go with the army, but because his illness was very serious, he was worried that it would hinder Li Shimin.

Li Shimin used the metaphor of Sima Yi's old age and illness to strengthen himself and contribute to the Cao Wei regime to appease Li Jing. Li Jing kowtowed and said, "I asked you to accompany me even if you are sick." But when he arrived at Xiangzhou, Li Jing was seriously ill and could no longer travel.

Although Li Jing did not fight against Goryeo, he paid great attention to the war on the front line. When Li Shimin arrived at Zhishan (now south of Liaoyang, Liaoning), Goryeo was mobilized, and the interior was empty. Li Daozong, the king of the city, once requested to lead 5,000 elite troops to surprise Pyongyang, but Li Shimin did not agree.

After returning to Beijing, Li Shimin asked Li Jing: "I used the world's army, but now I am trapped by a small country. Why is this?"

Li Jing, who was known for winning by surprise, thought that Li Shimin failed to follow Li Daozong's plan, so he said: "Please answer Li Daozong." Li Shimin asked Li Daozong, and Li Daozong explained that his suggestions at that time were not adopted. After hearing this, Li Shimin said sadly: "Time passed so fast, I don't remember it."

As the deposed prince, Li Chengqian was not supposed to be in the court, but he didn't know what Li Shimin was thinking, so he had someone move a chair for him and sit next to him.

Suddenly seeing himself rebelling again, he took a cup of tea from the side to hide the chaos in his heart.

He knows that many people must be looking at him now, so what's the use? He is no longer the trembling prince. He is now just an abandoned prince in an awkward position, not even a king.

Thinking this way, he laughed at himself, thinking it was quite boring.

Li Shimin felt miserable, why didn't Tianmu show some good side to him? Either Gao Ming rebelled or Li Jing was in his later years, neither one was good.

He looked at his cold and distant son, then at the expressionless Li Jing, and sighed.

……

Yun Xi: By the way, is Li Jing the reincarnation of King Tota? Each one is more impressive than the other.

I send my thoughts to the bright moon: Yes, it is not impossible.

No one is allowed to grow old in the world: they are both surrendered ministers, look at Wei Zheng and then look at Li Jing, there is no comparison!
Lianlian: Wei Zheng's tombstone was pushed down by Li Shimin, not much better.
