I was a fortune teller in 90

Chapter 542: Facing the Sea for the First Time

Wei Gang was a straightforward person. He smiled as soon as he spoke and soon became friends with everyone.

"The beach here is very clean, and you can catch the tide in the morning. You can have fun as you please. Go straight along the path in front of you, and there is a small market 20 minutes away. There are seafood freshly caught by fishermen there, and you can choose according to your preferences."

"The person who is in charge of cooking for you is also a nearby fisherman. She is an auntie with the best cooking skills in the whole village. If you want to eat any flavor of seafood, just tell her. She can usually make it."

"Thank you very much. Let's drink together later."

Tang Zikai patted Wei Gang on the shoulder, and several people unloaded all their luggage and followed him into the villa.

This is a three-story villa near the sea, with many rooms to choose from.

Dai Qing chose the side of the third floor near the sea, with a good view. Tang Zikai and Xing Zhou lived directly on the second floor, and the first floor was used as a living room and dining room.

Wei Gang settled a few people down and drove away.

Dai Qing packed up simply, took a shower, changed into a summer dress, and stood by the window looking at the beach outside. There were a few small fishing boats floating on the sea in the distance.

Dai Qing got up too early in the morning to catch a flight and felt a little tired after taking a shower. She lay on the bed, squinted her eyes, and fell asleep in a short while.

Until the horn sounded again in the yard, Wei Gang came back. When he got off the car, he was carrying a big bag of seafood and a box of beer. He was accompanied by an aunt in her forties.

"This is Aunt Li. She can speak some simple Mandarin, so it's easy to communicate."

Aunt Li looked at Tang Zikai and the others and smiled shyly, "Tell me what flavor you like to eat, I can make it. I used to help cook in a restaurant with my relatives, so my cooking skills are pretty good."

"Thank you very much. We all have no dietary restrictions. We can just cook according to your local taste."

Tang Zikai chuckled and watched her carry the things to the kitchen before calling Wei Gang.
"Shall we have a drink today?"

"Okay, we have beer and white wine, just blow whatever you want."

Dai Qing didn't go downstairs until the yard was filled with the aroma of seafood.

Everyone in the living room was sitting together, chatting and laughing. When they saw her coming down, Wei Gang quickly stood up.

"Miss Dai, please take a seat. I heard from Brother Tang that you are a fortune teller. If you are free someday, can you help me read my fortune?"

"Okay, you're always welcome."

Dai Qing nodded, said hello to them, and walked out. She wanted to take a look at the beach in the evening.

At around five o'clock in the afternoon, the afterglow sprinkled on the golden beach, the sea was sparkling, and the sea breeze was blowing gently. Without the scorching heat of the day, it was refreshing and cool, mixed with the smell of the sea.

Several seagulls were circling in the air, their shadows drawing elegant arcs in the sky, contrasting beautifully with the fishing boats in the distance.

Dai Qing was walking on the beach, waiting for the sun to gradually sink into the horizon, when she heard Tang Zikai calling her.

"Xiao Qing, dinner is ready." Tang Zikai waved at her with a bright smile.

Dai Qing walked back. She was born in an inland area and this was her first time to come into contact with the sea since she was a child. Needless to say, she really liked it.

"Like the sea?"

Tang Zikai watched her walk towards him, leaving a trail of footprints on the beach behind them. The two figures stretched out in the afterglow, and the girl's long hair fluttered in the breeze.

The scene at this moment was imprinted directly in his mind and he would never forget it for years.

"This is the first time I have seen the sea. It is so vast and stunning. Naturally I like it."

Dai Qing raised her head slightly, looked at Tang Zikai, and chuckled. "Let's go back and eat. Don't keep people waiting for too long."

The two of them entered the restaurant. Several people had already poured beer and a bottle of drink was placed on her seat.

"Xiaoqing, come and try Aunt Li's cooking."

"Okay, I can smell the fragrance at the door."

Dai Qing sat next to Tang Zikai. On the table, besides the plates, there was a large basin filled with steamed swimming crabs. She knew only a few common seafood, shrimps, crabs and conchs, but she didn't know the rest of the strange things, and she had never seen them before.

Wei Gang is a local and he enthusiastically introduced to them how to eat seafood and how to make it most delicious.

Dai Qing tried several kinds and found them all acceptable. However, in order to allow her stomach to adapt, she only chose to eat some prawns and swimming crabs. As for sea cucumbers and the like, she needed to get used to them.

Dai Qing was full and the others were drinking happily, so she called them and told them to go upstairs to have some rest and catch up on some sleep, and get up tomorrow to catch the tide.

Although she moved, Dai Qing didn't have the habit of sticking to one bed and fell asleep after just one moment of touching the pillow.

When she opened her eyes, it was six o'clock the next morning.

After washing up, Dai Qing, wearing a floral dress and a high ponytail, quietly walked down the stairs, carrying a red plastic bucket in the kitchen, and walked towards the beach.

This is my first time going to the beach, and I don’t know if I can get anything?
Stepping on the soft sand, looking at the distant skyline, a touch of fish belly white appears, like an alarm clock waking up the sleeping beach. Slowly, the sea surface reflects an orange-yellow halo, as if a layer of gauze is covering the sparkling water.

The seagulls woke up earlier than her. They flapped their wings and chased and played with each other.

The waves gently hit the beach on the shore, making a rustling sound. Dai Qing stepped on them and occasionally saw a few shells stranded on the beach by the waves, lying quietly.

She didn't know whether there was meat in the shell, so she picked it up first.

In the distance, several fishing boats have hoisted their sails. The shouts of the fishermen can be heard from afar, interweaving with the waves to form a song of diligence.

Dai Qing was carrying a bucket and walking leisurely along the coastline, with her head down, preparing to harvest some seafood.

When Tang Zikai came out, he was stunned when he looked at the scenery in the distance.

A young woman, wearing a long floral dress, her ponytail fluttering in the wind, carrying a bucket in her hand, walks slowly along the beach.

Occasionally he looked up with a gentle smile on his face, leaving behind footprints of varying depths, in sync with the rhythm of the sea, harmonious and natural.

Ever since she changed her mind, Dai Qing was always as beautiful as a painting no matter when or where, making him unable to take his eyes off her.

Just watching from afar, my heart was beating fast.

"What are you looking at so intently?" Xing Zhou patted his shoulder and teased him unceremoniously.

Tang Zikai turned around and glared at him.

"Asking knowingly."

"Ha, this is not like you. Where did your usual courage go? What kind of man are you if you hide on the side and watch secretly?"

"Didn't Brother Kai say that if you want something, you should go after it bravely? Are you a coward?"

Hearing the instigating tone of the two people, Tang Zikai puffed out his chest slightly.

"Don't laugh at me or provoke me. It's not that I'm timid, but I'm appreciating the beauty in front of me." (End of this chapter)
