Chongzhen revived the Ming Dynasty
Chapter 59 Reincarnation of Emperor Gong of Song Dynasty
Chapter 59 Reincarnation of Emperor Gong of Song Dynasty
Our ancestors are all Huang Di, so we are psychologically close to them. Although these Mongolian dignitaries heard this for the first time, they remembered that their ancestors once occupied the Central Plains and were driven to the grasslands by the Ming Emperor. Chunwei, the ancestor of the Huns, was driven to the grasslands by Shang Tang. Their version of Kong Zhenyun was: I somewhat believe it——
Everything is destiny, everything is reincarnation. The grassland people and the Central Plains people all have the same ancestor, but later they were divided into two groups to fight. Their ancestors were defeated and were driven to the grassland with a harsher environment.
Now the Emperor of the Ming Dynasty sent descendants of saints to confer titles on them because the main enemy of the Ming Dynasty was Hou Jin and he needed to win them over.
Thinking of the Jurchens, a Taiji asked:
"What are Jurchens?"
"Who are their ancestors?"
Kong Zhenyun really knew and said to them:
"The ancestor of the Jurchens was Sushen, also known as Xishen. They were called Yilou in the Han, Wei, and Jin Dynasties, Wuji in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Mohe in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and Nvzhi and Jurchens in the Liao and Song Dynasties."
"Sushen once supported the achievements of Emperor Shun, who was a great power in the northeast since the Yu Xia Dynasty. After King Wu defeated Zhou and established the Zhou Dynasty, hundreds of barbarians from the nine barbarians came to pay tribute, and Sushen paid tribute with arrows and stones."
"During the Spring and Autumn Period, Chen Minggong saw arrows he didn't recognize and sent an envoy to ask his ancestor Confucius. The ancestor recognized the style of the arrows that Su Shen had paid tribute to. This incident is recorded in "Historical Records"."
"The Records of the Unification of the Ming Dynasty records: 'A stone pot came out of the mouth of the Heilongjiang River, named Water Flower Stone, which is as strong as iron.' The Jurchens used the stone as an arrowhead to make a stone pot."
Even this is known, and there are records, and a group of Mongolian dignitaries are in awe. Considering that Su Shen's pronunciation was very similar to that of Jurchens, and that Jurchens did use stone arrowheads, they all believed this statement.
Then I thought that my ancestors were the Yellow Emperor and the Jurchens' ancestors were barbarians. When they look at the Jurchens, they can't help but have a sense of superiority: No matter how good you are at fighting, your ancestors are still barbarians!
However, this sense of superiority disappeared without a trace when facing the descendants of saints and the well-documented descendants of the Yellow Emperor. Some people thought that Kong Zhenyun was a minister of the Ming Emperor, and asked with some emotion:
"The bloodline of the ministers is so noble, where does the emperor's bloodline come from?"
Kong Zhenyun didn't dare to say anything casually about this. After careful consideration, he decided to go to the oldest place and say:
"The surname Zhu originated from the Zhu Xiang family, who was Emperor Yan. It is older than the era of Huang Emperor, and there are not many records left."
"In ancient times, the descendants of Emperor Yan and Emperor Huang had many marriages, which was called the Yan-Huang Alliance. Especially in the Zhou Dynasty, the descendants of Huang Emperor Ji were surnamed Zhou Tianzi, and most of them would marry women surnamed Jiang, descendants of Emperor Yan. So most people today have both. The bloodline of Emperor Yan and the bloodline of Huangdi are collectively called the descendants of Yan and Huang."
"Your Majesty's surname Zhu is probably derived from Emperor Yao's son Danzhu. The royal surname Liu of the Han Dynasty also comes from this lineage. It can be said that they are the same ancestor."
"If your ancestors were married to the royal family of the Han Dynasty, it is possible that they are the same ancestor as your Majesty! Unfortunately, it has been too long and there is no way to verify it."
These words made many Mongolian dignitaries feel regretful, lamenting that there was no clear record on the grassland. If they had a clear inheritance like the Kong family, they could be related to the Ming Emperor.
Kong Zhenyun did not dare to elaborate, because there were too many wars in the Central Plains, and many families had long been difficult to trace. So he briefly mentioned some ancient things, and then started talking about more recent things:
"Taizu once wrote the "Inscriptions of the Zhu Family's Shide", which recorded that the Fengyang Zhu family of the Ming Dynasty royal family came from the Jurong Zhu family."
"The ancestor of the Zhu family in Jurong, Zhu Weijie, was the younger brother of Zhu Zi's sixth ancestor, Zhu Weifu."
"So the royal family of the Ming Dynasty and Zhu Xi have the same ancestor."
This matter is well documented and can be verified. When Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang founded the Ming Dynasty, some people suggested that he be related to Zhu Xi, but Taizu considered himself a "Huaiyou commoner" and did not become a relative.
In Kong Zhenyun's opinion, this status was very noble, but to the Mongolian dignitaries on the grassland, most of them didn't know who Zhu Zi was and didn't feel much about it. However, they also respected Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang, especially after the arrival of Sherpa Hutuktu and an explanation.
It turns out that when the Yuan Dynasty destroyed the Song Dynasty, Emperor Gong of the Song Dynasty Zhao Xian surrendered. When he grew up, he was sent by the Emperor of the Yuan Dynasty to Sakya Temple to study Buddhism and practice, and became the eminent Buddhist monk Hezun Master. When he was in his fifties, Master Hezun was sentenced to death by the Emperor of the Yuan Dynasty. Because he was wronged and "bleeded white" when he was beheaded, he also made a vow: "I didn't want to rebel, but I was killed. I hope to seize the Mongolian throne in the next life." ". With this wish, he was reincarnated as Emperor Taizu of the Ming Dynasty and seized the throne of Mongolia.
In addition, after Zhu Yuanzhang became emperor, he deliberately found the head of Song Lizong that was dug out by Yang Liazhenjia and buried it with imperial rites. Many Mongolian dignitaries have no doubts about what the Sakya Sect says.
Therefore, in their view, the Great Yuan destroyed the Song Dynasty, and the Emperor of the Song Dynasty was reincarnated as Taizu of the Ming Dynasty. It was destiny to destroy the Great Yuan Dynasty again. This is the reason why Lin Danhan was not so resistant to the Ming Dynasty's canonization and even wanted to seize the position of King Shunyi.
Stunned by this statement, not to mention that many Mongolian dignitaries really believed this, Kong Zhenyun finally understood why the emperor wanted to canonize Sharpa Hutuktu and allow him to be reincarnated in the grassland. It turns out that these religious Mongolian dignitaries really believe that eminent monks can reincarnate.
I dare not say much about this, and even feel a little headache. Because according to the Sakya sect, Taizu of the Ming Dynasty was the reincarnation of Zhao Xian, Emperor Gong of the Song Dynasty, and Yang Lianzhenjia, a disciple of Pasiba of the Sakya sect, dug the grave of Lizong of the Song Dynasty. In this way, it seemed a bit problematic for him to confer the title of Sharba Hutuktu on behalf of the Ming Emperor.
So he could only pretend not to know and dare not express his opinion about it. I thought that Chengzu had once canonized Kunze Siba of the Sakya sect as the Mahayana Dharma King. This time, the canonization of the Sakya sect was just based on precedent. I hope Shalpa will be wise and expel Yang Lian Zhenjia from the Sakya sect.
With this in mind, after Kong Zhenyun got closer to each other, he did not continue talking about the bloodline. He took out a few blank edicts and said to the Mongolian dignitaries present:
"His Majesty told me before leaving that I would be solely responsible for this tribute. He also gave me dozens of edicts to ennoble leaders who aspire to the Ming Dynasty."
"These edicts have been sealed, so you don't have to worry about Ming Dynasty not recognizing them. Your Majesty will use his credibility to guarantee your titles."
They didn't expect Daming to be so generous. While these leaders were happy, they couldn't believe it. Anda Khan was granted the title of Queen of Shunyi, and the Ming Dynasty conferred official positions on many leaders of the right-wing tribes, but ignored the goodwill of the left-wing tribes and preferred to fight with them.
Today's changes are so big that they can't believe it. Especially when Kong Zhenyun said that accepting the title of Ming Dynasty would lead to a higher rank and trade quota, a leader couldn't help but said:
"The Ming Dynasty is so generous. Doesn't it mean that we want to fight the Jurchens?"
These words startled the other leaders, and they all felt a little afraid. They were really frightened by Hou Jin, otherwise they would not have moved westward. Daming is so generous this time, it is indeed possible for them to work hard.
Thinking about the consequences of fighting Hou Jin, these people suddenly hesitated. If you have to risk your life in exchange for a title, and you might not be able to enjoy it, then you might as well not do it!
The Yellow Sect is the Gelug Sect. The Red Sect only refers to the Nyingma sect in a narrow sense, and includes the Sakya sect and Kagyu sect in a broad sense.
The Red Sect that Lin Dan Khan believed in was the Sakya Sect, a descendant of Pasiba.
The legend of the murder of Emperor Gong of the Song Dynasty, Zhao Xian, recorded in the Collection of Han-Tibetan History:
On the evening of August 1368, the Year of Sheep, Earth and Monkey (), the emperor and his son were forced to flee from the palace in Dadu to Mongolia. The throne fell into the hands of the Han Chinese Emperor Ming.
Previously, when the palace in Hangzhou was burned by the Mongols, the prince of the barbarians surrendered to the Mongol emperor, but was not trusted and was exiled to a foreign land. He went to the land of Sakya to practice Buddhism, and a crowd gathered around him.
At this time, the fortune tellers of the Mongolian emperor said: "There will be a rebellion of Western monks to seize the throne." The emperor sent people to check and saw many followers surrounding the barbarian Hezun. He reported this to the emperor, and the emperor ordered him to be killed. Beheading.
When he went to the killing ground, he made a vow: "I didn't want to rebel, but I was killed. May I seize the Mongolian throne in the next life!"
With this wish, he was reincarnated as the Ming Emperor of the Han people and seized the throne of Mongolia.
It is also said that when Manzi Hezun was killed, what came out was not blood, but milk.
