Mystery: Lucky One

Chapter 143 17 New Nightmare

Chapter 143 Chapter 17 New Nightmare
Dr. Allen soon received the first part of the information he had bought for fifty pounds.

After all, if 50 pounds could only buy so little, Alan would feel like he had been cheated by his friends.

Alice's identity on the surface came from the original Charlie King. At that time, Charlie King even considered the obvious flaws in her character and designed her identity certificate to be that of a eldest lady whose family was in decline and both her parents had died.

Therefore, it seems to be a reasonable thing that Brielle Rose can draw.

So, why does Briar Rose seem to know so much about the occult?

Allen Kress closed this document, remembering his wife's smile when she said her child wanted to eat ice cream, pinched his brows, and seriously considered the possibility of a home visit.

——He remembered that before becoming pregnant, his wife didn’t seem to like ice cream.

Although pregnancy will cause changes in eating habits, and although it is just a normal excuse to say that the child wants to eat, he still feels a strong sense of uneasiness in his subconscious.

He had stopped having nightmares about Will Asceptin and started having another one.

In the dream, the mysterious girl he met that day, the girl named Brielle Rose, looked at him with soft eyes and said to him in a gentle but emotionless voice:

Will.

This is not an uncommon name for a boy, but the next scene in this scene is a dark steeple. He climbed to the top of the tower like before and saw two giant coiled snakes.

One step, two steps, three steps... As he approached step by step, he seemed to have passed through something, and then seemed to have passed through nothing. He gradually noticed that his footsteps became sticky.

He heard his wife smile and say to him, "The kid wants ice cream."

That's...his wife.

"...This child will bring disaster to you and your family."

Then, he came home worried and saw his wife getting up from the sofa to greet him, and there was a half-eaten cup of ice cream on the coffee table.

He lowered his head and discovered that there was an unknown, dark red and black liquid flowing in this direction.

The two snakes were both white, one was thick and the other was thin. When the thin snake saw his figure, it looked at him pitifully and horrified, with a trace of undetectable eagerness and worry in its eyes.

She has bright and dazzling blond hair, and the curvature of her face has a childishness that has not faded. It can be seen that the owner of this face is not very old.

……what is that?
He moved forward step by step, and finally, he saw the source of the liquid.

Can one person shed so much blood?
Allen didn't know, but he discovered that a young girl was kneeling and sitting beside his wife.

She didn't care about the blood on the ground and just sat there on her knees. Allen saw that the girl was holding a bloody scalpel in her hand.

Then the scene changed to a long time later, when his wife's belly had an obvious bulge. He watched his wife gently caressing her belly and said to him with a smile:
"How about our child be called Will?"

But his attention was not on the two snakes. He walked towards the deeper darkness ahead. Subconsciously, there seemed to be something extremely important to him hidden in that covered area.

She was lying on the ground, her abdomen was cut open in the middle, and blood flowed out of it, passing through his feet and flowing behind him.

Allen's pupils narrowed and he stared at the handle of the scalpel.

He watched the girl use a scalpel to lift up the hair scattered in the pool of blood one by one, push away the solidified blood on it, and separate the hair that was tangled because of the blood.

Then, the girl looked back at him with an innocent and bright smile, her blue eyes were clear and pure, and there was no trace of malice in her eyes. He saw the girl tilt her head, look at him with those pure eyes and say:

"Look, I have already said that that child will bring disaster to you and your family. Why don't you believe it?"

Then, he would wake up from his dream, and in the silent night, with a cold sweat, he would recall those pure, innocent eyes, and the innocent tone when the girl spoke.

At this moment, the eyes of the blond girl in the dream finally overlapped with Brielle Rose's eyes in the information sent by Klein.

……

Alice was thinking about what to have for dinner when there was a knock on the door.

She put on "Matilda" doubtfully and went to open the door, but saw someone who surprised her.

"...Hello?" Alice looked at Dr. Allen in front of her and said hello hesitantly, a little unsure whether she should call him by his name.

Pure, ignorant, and confused... Allen recalled the eyes of the girl in his dream, took a deep breath, forced himself to smile and said:

"Ma'am, I'm sorry to bother you... I have some questions to ask you about Will Asceptin."

Alice stared at him, slowly narrowed her eyes, frowned and asked, "Who asked you to ask me?"

She didn't care if Allen could find her - after all, Klein sold her information for a full 50 pounds, so it would be strange if she didn't have her address.

What puzzled her was that Allen actually decided to come to her - right? Will Asceptin just asked his father to come to see her?
Or is this, like her dream and her chance encounter with Will Asceptin, something that Will Asceptin cannot decide?
"No, no one asked me to come," Allen was confused for a moment, "I have some questions that I want to ask you..."

"In other words, you think this decision was made by yourself throughout the whole process without any guidance or hint?" Alice confirmed.

"...Can others still make decisions for me?" Allen asked incomprehensibly.

"Who knows?" Alice chuckled and shrugged.

Allen looked at her indifferent expression, and suddenly cold sweat broke out from behind again.

Alice frowned and looked at Allen, who was obviously frightened. After pondering for a moment, she said, "Come in and talk."

With that said, she turned sideways and motioned for Allen to enter the room.

Alan walked in hesitantly, Alice closed the door behind him, and quietly opened the spiritual barrier.

"What would you like to drink?" Alice asked politely.

"Coffee bar." Alan replied habitually.

"Sit down." Alice said lightly, went to make coffee, and decided to give herself a glass of orange juice.

…Who wants to drink something so bitter?

Alice placed the coffee in front of Allen. Allen politely picked up the coffee and took a sip, and then his expression twisted uncontrollably.

"Oops," Alice suddenly realized after seeing his expression, "I forgot to add sugar!"
