Mystery: Lucky One
Chapter 300 Monogamy in the Old Times
Danitz knew nothing about this.
"What did you want to say just now?" Alice took the initiative to change the subject.
"Oh, yes." Danitz patted his head, his smile becoming enthusiastic again. "Let me introduce you to our first mate, 'Gourmet' Blue Wals, worth 6200 pounds."
This unique way of introduction made Alice and Blue Walls silent. After more than ten seconds, Alice turned her head to look at Danitz and said in a tone of praise:
“You have a strong ability to learn.”
After a pause, she turned to Blue Walls and asked sincerely:
“Is he usually like this?
"You won't beat him?"
Blue Walls gave Alice a polite and courteous smile, then reached out and held Danitz's head, saying gently:
"No, he's not like this usually. I think he's just too excited. He just needs to calm down, right, Danitz?"
Alice felt that he would twist off Danitz’s head in the next second.
Danitz obviously thought the same thing. He laughed dryly and said, "Haha, yes, that's right. I'm too excited."
Alice glanced at him and curled her lips and said, "Tsk, coward."
Danitz's eyes widened as expected, and he looked at Alice angrily. Upon seeing this, Blue Walsh slowly patted his shoulders twice.
Danitz withdrew his gaze again.
Alice glanced at Danitz who was on the verge of explosion and decided to give him some buffer time. She did not try to provoke him again, but instead turned her attention to the "gourmet" Blue Walls, who was worth 6200 pounds.
So valuable... But actually their captain is the most valuable... Oh no, don't think like that!
Alice tried to interrupt her thoughts, and Blue Walls also contributed: "This is our second mate, 'Singer' Orpheus."
Alice looked in the direction of his finger and found that the man had features as deep as stone sculptures and golden hair as bright as the sun.
After Alice looked at him, Orpheus smiled, but his drooping eyelids made his whole face look melancholy. Alice looked at his expression thoughtfully. She quietly pricked up her ears and listened attentively to Orpheus's poetic voice with a melancholy atmosphere:
“Actually, I was just praising the sun.
"It's a pity that the sun shines equally on each of us, and doesn't pay more attention to me because of my praise."
Learned a new expression... Wait, who is he referring to as the sun?
Alice slowly twisted her neck with a dull look in her eyes, looked in the direction of the captain's room, then twisted her neck back little by little and asked:
"Does 'Eternal Sun' know about this?"
After a pause, she seemed to suddenly remember something, turned her head to look at Danitz and asked loudly:
"So it's your captain you like?"
The atmosphere around them fell into a suspicious silence. Alice glanced at the silent pirates one by one and revealed an expression of sudden enlightenment:
"You all like your captain?"
They looked at each other, first with shock and disbelief, and then turned away from each other as if they had been betrayed.
From their angry and wary attitudes, Alice realized that she was probably right.
"Golden Dream..." Alice muttered absentmindedly, "She is gold, and she is also a dream..."
The eyes of the "singer" Orpheus brightened for a moment, but became confused the next moment:
"I understand!
"I should like her too!"
Alice's logic was as puzzling as ever. After a few seconds of silence, Danitz finally did what a "provocateur" should do: "Aren't you secretly in love with German?"
Alice was lost in thought.
She wanted to deny it, but after thinking about it, she felt that in this situation, angrily denying it would only confirm the rumor, so she raised her head and said seriously:
“In the distant past, in my hometown, where I was born and raised, we had this rule.
"Monogamy, that is, a person can have one husband and one wife at the same time."
Her words successfully made everyone, including Danitz, fall into deep thought.
"This is the first time I've heard of such a place," a young man said. "Let me introduce myself. I'm the third mate of this ship, 'Flower Tie' Johnson."
Alice looked over and found that this man was the most human-looking among the pirates.
He was wearing a white shirt, a black vest and a colorful bow tie, and looked like a non-serious clerk.
He was the most handsome man on this ship of pirates, with blond hair but black at the roots.
His eyes are a very light lake green, his nose is very straight, his lips are thin, and he has a trustworthy temperament.
He met Alice's gaze, smiled, and then said, "I'm worth 5200 pounds."
Alice blurted out in surprise: "Why are you not as valuable as Danitz?"
Jodson's smile froze on his face, and Danitz instantly remembered how he had gradually appreciated his value.
Alice looked at the two of them with a puzzled look, and finally looked at Danitz who seemed to know the truth.
Danitz puffed out his chest and said:
"Don't be fooled by the fact that this guy has Sequence 6. His abilities aren't that strong, they're just weird.
"Once before, when I was fighting him, no, during the battle, I suddenly couldn't use fireballs, but he was able to imitate my fire ability."
It sounds like the ability was taken away from me... no, maybe stolen.
Alice thought of the donation box at the Storm Church, and there was no doubt that it was stolen.
Danitz's next words quickly completed the clue:
“Don’t be fooled by his face, he is just a can of wolffish, full of stench!
"He used to be a playboy and pirate who said he wanted to steal our captain's heart, but he got beaten up and stayed to get an education!"
Alice looked at Danitz who seemed to feel sorry for this and was silent for two seconds. Then she turned to Jodson and asked another question that she was more concerned about with a frown:
"…'Thief'?"
Jodson looked at Alice in surprise.
Alice understood his answer. She took a breath, glanced at Blue Walls wearing a monocle, then glanced at Jodson, then took a few steps back warily, a little further away from the two of them.
Her behavior successfully aroused the suspicion of others, but Alice just said to Johnson with a serious face after keeping a distance:
“I think you’re more suited to a monocle than him… you’re more suited to a monocle than 6200 pounds.
"It's best to wear it on your right eye. This will help you quickly become a demigod." (End of this chapter)
