The Best Actor in the Vase of Meiyu

Chapter 1064 Growing Pains

Chapter 1064 Growing Pains
Unconsciously, a smile crept up the corners of my mouth. It was always like this when I was with Anson.

Anne looked at Anson carefully, but was caught when Anson looked at her. This time Anne did not dodge, but looked back at him calmly.

"It seems that you have almost recovered."

Anson immediately grimaced as if his back muscles were spasming.

Anne immediately tensed up. "Are you okay? Do you need a massage or something? Or should I call your physical therapist back?"

Then, Anne noticed that Anson's expression had returned to normal and he was looking at her with a smile on his face.

Anne was stunned for a moment, then finally came to her senses, "Jesus Christ, Anson Wood!"

Anson: “Hahahaha, hahaha.”

But I never expected that Anne showed some grievance and her eyes turned slightly red.

Such a reaction was totally beyond Anson's expectations. He was shocked. "Annie, I'm sorry." After thinking for a moment, he repeated it again, "I'm sorry."

Anne wasn’t performing.

Annie was also very surprised by her own reaction and quickly wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. "No, no, no, I'm fine. Don't worry, really."

"Oh, God, I must look really stupid right now. But you've seen me look stupider than that, so I have nothing to worry about."

With a little self-deprecating remark, Anne regained her smile.

Anson looked at Anne carefully, with a hint of sadness between his brows, and then he made another small joke.

"So, you can't eat or sleep well because you're worried about me?"

This time, Annie understood what he said immediately. "Don't flatter yourself." She couldn't help but burst out laughing because it was so ridiculous.

"I just……"

Something happened at home.

When she was fifteen years old, her brother Michael Hathaway officially came out of the closet. For Anne, who was once a devout Catholic and aspired to become a nun, this was undoubtedly a subversion of her life. The whole family was shocked and shocked.

After struggling and thinking, the Hathaway family chose to stand behind their loved ones. They left the church where they worshipped every Sunday and joined another church with a more open and diverse attitude, hoping to find a balance between faith and life.

However, over the past six months, the discomfort and struggles brought about by this church have become increasingly apparent, and the Hathaway family is once again facing a severe test.

In the end, they once again sided with their family and chose to leave the church.

During this period, the tug of war between faith and reality has become a new topic.

Unfortunately, life refused to give Anne any breathing space. A series of ups and downs followed one after another, which made the young Anne exhausted.

Anson’s injury was one of them.

Although Annie didn't want to think this way, during those brief moments of distraction, she couldn't help but think that the entire universe seemed to be against her.

It's inevitable to be frustrated.

But how should she explain it to Anson?

Now Anson is also going through a series of troubles. The Sony Columbia issue seems to have been resolved, but they all know that it is not that simple.

"Just a little worried."

Amidst the myriad sorrows, Anne pulled out a tiny thread.

"Anson, do you think I've peaked in my life? I mean, 'The Princess Diaries'."

Anson was not expecting that. "No, of course not, no such idea at all."

Anne gave a bitter smile, "I just really..." She took a deep breath, "I really don't like the script of 'The Princess Diaries 2'. I look like a brainless teddy bear." Behind the gentle words, there was bitterness.

Anne's expression was a little helpless.

Anson, "Barbie?"

Anne chuckled, "No, Barbie is pretty, but I'm just...stupid." The words lingered there, and then Anne pulled the corners of her mouth and quickly changed the subject, "I also hope that I can go to the Cannes Film Festival with my work."

Anson raised his chin slightly, "And Peter Parker, who runs around in a tights and is stuck in puberty and is always a middle school student."

"Yeah, charming." Annie nodded repeatedly, deliberately lengthening the ending tone.

Anson, "Do you think I should take the initiative to leave the set of Spider-Man 2?"

Anne thought about it carefully. "On the one hand, it is a bit embarrassing to run around in a tights. But on the other hand, it is like this for all actors. We stand in front of the camera and go crazy but pretend to be normal."

"Oh, actually we are all crazy."

"I didn't dare to leave, fearing that leaving might be a mistake, so I stayed in the crew of 'The Princess Diaries 2' and continued to act crazy and stupid."

"Look at it from another perspective, someone is willing to pay us to watch us go crazy, so this job doesn't seem so bad."

"Are you comparing Spider-Man's pay to my pay?"

"No, I'm comparing our pay to the salary of a Wal-Mart clerk."

"If you think about it this way, it seems fair. After all, we can lie on a pile of money and go crazy."

The two of them were talking nonsense seriously.

They exchanged glances inadvertently, and then both burst out laughing.

In silence, Anson looked at Anne quietly. He could sense that there was more to Anne's story than just that, and there must be more behind it, but he was not going to ask further, because Anne had her reasons for not wanting to speak, and also because he might not have the answers to all the questions after living two lives.

He let out a soft breath, "I'm sorry, growing up is hard."

Anne looked up at Anson and smiled, "It's really too hard." She was caught off guard and realized that her voice was choking. The curve of her mouth became so difficult and heavy. "How long will it take? I don't know how much I can bear."

"The bad thing is, no one knows how long it will last. Maybe this is just the beginning, maybe there will be worse and heavier things waiting later."

Anson's words made Anne make a big face without any hesitation, which made Anson laugh out loud.

"But fortunately, everything will pass, and we will all survive. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

Anne raised her head and looked at Anson, staring into his eyes quietly.

Then, Annie said, "Really? Are we all going to stick with this?"

"Yeah." Anson nodded. "Life is always like this. We will go through difficult moments one after another. Every time we think we can't hold on any longer, and every time we think we may never find a way out."

"But take a deep breath, we will all persevere in the end."

The difference is, sometimes, we grow up to be the kind of person we hate; sometimes, we grow up to be the kind of person who does nothing and accomplishes nothing.

Only very rarely do we grow into the person we aspire to be.

This requires strength and faith.

In his previous life, Anson became the first type of person, the kind of person that he despised, rejected, hated and loathed; so if he could start over again, he wanted to try different possibilities.

Listening to Anson's voice, Anne slowly fell into her own thoughts. Sadness and powerlessness bound her ankles. She floated up and down in the darkness, then slowly fell and sank, slowly, but unstoppably.
