Chapter 982 Annual Event
June, afternoon.

It is a rare sight as golden sunshine covers the entire city of New York. The lazy heat slowly spreads through the steel forest that rises into the sky. The freshness and heat of early summer are intertwined and mixed together, making people want to have a picnic on the green grass of Central Park.

It was definitely a perfect afternoon for a picnic.

However, picnics take time, and not everyone can enjoy such leisure. The city is still busy, with people coming and going. Everyone is immersed in his own world, busy running around.

Duncan-Lewis is on a roll, riding a bicycle and carrying a red pizza box on his back, hurtling between cars and hurtling through city streets at lightning speed.

However, traffic doesn't help.

Directly ahead, the road was blocked tightly. It was not a simple traffic jam, but a street closure. This made Duncan wail, unable to control his disappointment.

The streets are closed. Why are they closed?

Moreover, not only was the street closed, but outside the yellow isolation belt, there were three layers of people crowded together, stretching out along the line of sight.

No end in sight.

Duncan braked and stopped at the intersection. His brain started working quickly, thinking about how he should change the route so that he could deliver the pizza to his home in time.

But the problem was that this was only his second day at work and he was still unfamiliar with the streets.

I used to think that delivering food only required physical strength; now I realize that planning the route is also a science.

Damn!

Duncan looked around, trying to identify the route, but was still at a loss. He didn't even know where the closed street area ended. What should he do?
Out of the corner of my eye I saw a crowd of people nearby. They didn’t seem to be watching the excitement, but were... queuing?
Just then, noticing someone in the team looking over with a smile, Duncan stepped forward and asked, "Excuse me, what are we doing here? Where is the street closure area?"

He was a middle-aged man in his forties, with a shiny bald forehead and an ordinary look. He would disappear in a crowd, but he always had a smile on his face, which made him stand out from the crowd easily. Inexplicably, he could catch people's attention at once.

So, Duncan saw him at a glance.

"John-Landis." The middle-aged man stretched out his right hand.

Duncan held the other person's right hand in confusion: What happened here?
There was no need for Duncan to explain, as John had already taken the initiative to explain.

"Aha, this is the filming set of Spider-Man 2. Today is the first day the crew officially starts filming, but there should be three hours left before the filming begins."

"So, you are here to apply for a job as a street extra, right?"

Duncan was stunned and was about to turn around and leave, but he was caught by the ear because of this sentence, "Are you an actor?"

John smiled, "Of course, I've guest-starred in more than 2 movies and TV shows, including 'Six Feet Under', 'The Sopranos', 'Rush Hour', and 'Terminator '. I've met all kinds of superstars on set."

"You can, if you want."

"You know, here you get to see Anson Wood and Kirsten Dunst, well, at least Anson, I'm not sure if Kirsten has a part today."

Duncan completely forgot that he was supposed to leave and stared at John in amazement.

John likes moments like this, as if a small spotlight is focused on him, making his smile even brighter.

"You should know Spider-Man, right? Half of Hollywood's actors have auditioned for Spider-Man 2. Everyone wants to be a part of the sequel. Even just showing up is a rare opportunity."

“All the actors I knew auditioned.”

"all!"

"Because we all know that this movie will be 100% successful, everyone will go to the theater to watch it, this is your best chance to be seen on the big screen, you don't want to miss such an opportunity." "Without a doubt, this is the most anticipated event in the first half of this year. All the actors are looking forward to this day and hope to be a part of it."

“Even if it’s just a crowd background, you never know how you’re going to appear in the movie, it’s like a game of Find Waldo – surprise!”

Before I knew it, a small group of listeners had gathered around, including others who were queuing, with anticipation and excitement on their faces. All that was missing was a bucket of popcorn, and the party atmosphere was already brewing.

Duncan couldn't help but ask, "Everyone? Like Brad Pitt?"

John just laughed it off. “Maybe Brad Pitt wants to be one of them but is too shy to admit it.”

Haha, everyone burst into laughter and the atmosphere became very lively.

Duncan laughed too. He was also a little eager to make a move. He finally remembered that he still had a job. "I would like to quit this stupid job and join you, but obviously I should still complete this order."

As he spoke, Duncan patted the box behind him.

John did not continue to persuade.

"It's a shame."

"Here, all the streets are closed. The application was approved three months ago. From here to the surrounding three streets, all are closed areas."

"If you want to take a detour, it's better to take a longer detour."

Duncan let out a long breath, "I think I have to leave now, otherwise I will be late."

Duncan took another look at the turbulent sea ahead, with disappointment unconcealed on his face, but in the end he turned around and left reluctantly.

At the side, another young man wearing a hat and riding a skateboard glanced in the direction Duncan left, then looked at John and asked.

"Well, what if I want to go to Cosey and Grand Street?"

John sighed, "Oh, God, that's inside the closed street area, are you going to work inside?"

"The street closure not only prohibits vehicles from passing through, but also pedestrians from passing through at will; but I think if it is residents here or people in office buildings who are not restricted, do you have a pass? You can go and ask."

"Did you see that black luxury trailer?"

The skateboarder looked in the direction John pointed, "What's going on there?"

"That's Anson Wood's exclusive trailer, the soul of the entire crew. I'm just reminding you not to go the wrong way. The tent in front of the trailer is the registration place and the gathering place for the staff. You can go there to ask how to get through, but you don't want to be mistaken for a relative."

"Wow, that's a huge monster, it looks like a Transformer." The skateboard boy couldn't help but exclaim.

There was cheerful laughter all around, and some people were shouting "Welcome to Hollywood", but people around them were complaining, "Manhattan" and "Geography idiot".

John looked at the skateboarder with a big smile on his face, "He deserves this treatment, he's the hottest young man in Hollywood right now; but hey, who knows, maybe soon you can have your own trailer too."

There were laughter and whistles, and the atmosphere was extremely lively.

The skateboarder nodded in thanks, "I hope everything goes well with today's filming."

After saying that, he rode on his skateboard and flew to the front along the long line, attracting a lot of attention along the way.

Someone in the crowd asked curiously, "Don't you think that figure from behind looks like Anson?"
