As the saying goes, the way to the golden elixir is to refine oneself first. How come a verse about inner alchemy appears in this Buddhist temple?

Looking at the verse of "Dragons", it says "The blue dragon hides in the water of the East China Sea, and the elixir furnace is warm and pregnant with pearls."

It explains the Eight Trigrams and the Five Elements, but what is shown are the Eight Divisions of Buddhism and the relics.
There are only a few real practitioners here, who have some inheritance and know some secret words. Those who follow unorthodox methods and have average cultural level, like the "Nine Yin Divine Claw", can all be refined into the "Nine Yin White Bone Claw".

Its external image is a giant python god, which is similar to the image of "Gou Chen" in Taoism. After all, Chang Yu was enlightened in this way.
Apart from Gouchen, under the thick earth of Mother Earth, there is a central earth guardian beast, which is Teng Snake, and is also the Earth Palace.
The Kun hexagram reads: "White descends and red rises, mixing with muddy water; the innate Qi refines the golden elixir."

Since the Eight Treasures Merit Sword inside was destined to him, and the Huanglian could transform into a "golden lotus", and sit on the golden lotus platform, wasn't that the same as "becoming a Buddha", right?
Mud and water things originally refer to matters between men and women. It is said that men are made of mud and flesh and daughters are made of water. However, men are Qian Yang and women are Kun Yin in yin and yang. With yang mud and yin water, ambition and creation, a "fetus" is born.
Some theories of Neidan Tao always use "carrying a baby" to illustrate the carefulness and hard work of Neidan. They also like to use the baby to illustrate the innate Qi, which is the initial state of a person. If the baby state is maintained, one can achieve immortality, which is called "holding a baby". The baby state does not increase or decrease, which is called "Dan".
Danying is used interchangeably, it is actually one realm, or two states of one realm.
Taoist Huanglian's thick earth and true qi obviously did not meet certain conditions. It could not melt the mud and water and be refined into a hard golden elixir like refining porcelain, which is the relic of the "convergence of Buddhism and Taoism" here.
Corresponding to Mahāromāka, it is the so-called "earth-walking dragon", that is, a dragon that cannot fly into the sky, which is also considered to be a level of incomplete cultivation.
In this case, the only thing missing is "water and fire". Red rises and white falls. I'm afraid it's the state of "refining mud". Of course, in the terminology of external alchemy, it refers to the state of cinnabar...
Xu Jia was also born in a "great religion" and inherited the Lingbao Taoist tradition, but when it came to the forced connection between the Eight Heavenly Dragons, the I Ching Eight Trigrams, and the lead and mercury inner elixir, he could only think: "This is an unorthodox path."
This is not the way of a great master who practices both Buddhism and Taoism.

There are not many people who can count the water power here. After all, this is the desert. Even Gongye Xingyun, Tianquan Sword, Xiaoyue Sword, are the power of stars and moons...

In front of the palace, there is a "Pool of Merit" made of eight treasures including coral, pearls, giant clams, tortoise shells, and agate.
The Merit Pond has dried up, and there is a layer of dry mud underneath. Occasionally, golden light can be seen in the mud, which are golden lotus seeds.
Above the Eight Treasures Merit Pond, there is a golden cobra hovering. It is Mahomaga who is planning to use the Merit Pond to "transform into a dragon", and is also the so-called "Eight Treasures Merit Sword".
This sword has become spiritual. Although it is a treasure of Buddhism, it always carries some evil nature. I wonder if it is a "curse" brought about by the destruction of the country due to Buddhism.

Zen Master Baiyun was also in the garden. He was not surprised to see Taoist Huanglian, but he did not sense the real Xu Jia's "breath" from him. Instead, he could see the "past" with his fate-seeing ability. He immediately realized: "The flower is not a flower, the fruit is not a fruit, it is a heavenly being born."
Taoist Huanglian was wary of the Zen master, and then wanted to find the door to the so-called "treasure house".
Not long after, another person came. It was Gongye Xingyun. After seeing Xu Jia's operation, he guessed that these eight doors roughly represented the eight steps of inner alchemy. As long as they followed the corresponding steps and activated the eight doors, they could open the door and enter from the "Heavenly Beings".
This is not difficult, it’s just a matter of reasoning and calculation.
Since he came in, he naturally protected his daughter as well. Behind the door, the father and daughter each received a Buddhist treasure.
Seeing Zen Master Baiyun and Taoist Huanglian at this time, he felt calm and composed. He thought that the trip here was worthwhile.
"I have met Baiyun Arhat." Gongye Xingyun bowed and asked, "I wonder if Arhat can see the trick here."
Baiyun Luohan said: "There is permanence and impermanence, the twin trees wither and flourish, north, south, west and east are neither false nor empty."
"What do you mean?"
Gongye Xingyun had a general understanding of Buddhism, but he found it difficult to comprehend that this was the scene of the Buddha's Nirvana.
The jade tree here has half branches and the other half has dense gem leaves.
This means that someone with great Buddhist powers has attained Nirvana here.
Zen Master Baiyun believed that he had attained nirvana, which was not possible, but at least he had attained bodhisattva nirvana (the realm of gods and goddesses in the desire realm).
Xu Jia, however, had some understanding and immediately looked for the "place of Nirvana".
The place of Nirvana must have "relics" or treasures.
Another thing is that in order to subdue certain demons, there are always Bodhisattvas in Buddhism who choose to enter Nirvana and exert extremely powerful powers.
For example, in Journey to the West, Tathagata subdued Sun Wukong, cut off his hand, and returned to the Western Paradise to achieve Nirvana. However, Nirvana does not mean death. After Nirvana, he returned to the position of Buddha again.
Therefore, if what the man-made "Golden Light Bodhisattva" said is true, something is suppressed here, and it must be in the place of Nirvana.
With the golden key, you can open the treasure house of the Golden Kingdom and obtain the national treasure of the Buddhist Kingdom, which can transform the desert into an oasis.
To be honest, Xu Jia had only seen this kind of treasure, the Lingquan Jade in the Ten-Li Painting Gallery in "The Legend of the Seven Heroes of Rainbow Cat and Blue Rabbit", which had such an effect. Otherwise, even if it was the "Raozhu" refined by the boy Ao Jin, which possessed abundant and auspicious Qi, it would be difficult to immediately turn a desert into an oasis.
Besides, this golden country is so rich that when it comes to paving the ground with gold, the only person that comes to Xu Jia's mind is Satarapo, the big oil producer whose ground is oozing with oil.
Is it possible that black gold is also produced under the ground of this golden country?
But this Bodhisattva was named "Golden Light", and after his Nirvana, he might have turned into "Golden Light". It is possible that this Golden Kingdom was originally made of gold or a normal palace. After his Nirvana, he was irradiated by the golden light and turned into a country with a golden ground.
Therefore, it is still very difficult to find traces of Nirvana here.
Especially the art of divination, which is almost ineffective here.
"Is it the central area?"
There was an open space in the middle of the garden, but there were no clues.
In the east, south, west and north, both are withered and flourishing, and there is indeed no change.
But the next moment, Zen Master Baiyun walked out, took the Zen stick and broke his ankle, and then light golden blood flowed out.
The atmosphere of the Buddhist kingdom began to change, and Zen chanting that was thousands of years old was heard around.
When the transformation from withering to flourishing occurred, a not very obvious golden light appeared in one place.
The golden light immediately attracted Xu Jia, but he did not take any action. Firstly, he did not know whether a key was given to everyone who found the secret room. Secondly, it seemed that this Buddhist country now had some strength. If people truly believed in Buddhism, they would have supernatural powers, but it could be destroyed overnight. It was very strange what kind of monster was inside.
Taoist Huanglian has already obtained the Eight Treasures Merit Sword and brought it back safely to offer as a sacrifice to the deity. This is the most important thing.
As for the Buddhist treasures, Xu Jia was not greedy and just wanted to join in the fun.
This Zen Master Baiyun obviously has some connection with this place. Maybe he will inherit the Buddhist tradition, found a sect in the desert, become a Bodhisattva in the Desire Realm, and then establish a Buddhist country.
Gongye Xingyun also remained motionless. At this time, a few more people rushed in from outside. They were the Three Demons of the Desert. They also cracked the verse and came in.
When they saw this place, they pulled out all the gem trees without saying a word and dug up the golden land like locusts.
When they got here, they saw Gongye Xingyun and Baiyun Zen Master, who sneered, "I wonder what treasures you got when you came first? Please bring them out for us brothers to see and see."
"Yes, yes, everyone who sees it gets a share, how can I keep it to myself?"
Especially to Taoist Huang Lian: "You must have known some opportunity, otherwise how could you have such a shallow cultivation level and come in before my brother."
It was also the first time that Xu Jia saw a person who had already cultivated to the level of a terrestrial immortal and was as brainless as the villain in a cool novel.
He immediately thought to himself, "It seems that there is a protagonist here, otherwise how could there be an aura of reduced intelligence?"
In fact, there is no halo that reduces intelligence. The three demons of the desert usually bully the weak. It's just that when they see the three of them, Gongye Xingyun is strong, but he has a weak daughter. Zen Master Baiyun even mutilates himself in order to understand the mystery of Nirvana. He believes that no one here can be the opponent of his three brothers. In front of powerful opportunities and treasures, they naturally "reveal their greed, anger, ignorance and delusion."
"Now that we have obtained the Buddha treasure, let's become Bodhisattvas and Arhats for fun. I will become a sand Bodhisattva, he will become a fire Bodhisattva, and you will become a wind Bodhisattva. We can also protect the water and soil of this desert and enjoy the tributes. Isn't it much more comfortable?"
As they were talking, suddenly a golden light burst out from Zen Master Baiyun, and the golden lights from all directions in the void gathered together to form a pure golden portal.
Outside the gate, there are Taoist talismans written in the flesh and blood of Bodhisattva.
Xu Jia complained after seeing it: "Why does it look like the story of Ji Gong Conquers the Demons, where the Buddhist monks grind their golden bodies into powder and write Taoist spells."
Xu Jia was actually familiar with this talisman; it was the Tianpeng Zhuxie Talisman.
But isn’t it forbidden for monks to learn the Tianpeng method? How come this monk was able to use it so skillfully?
Zen Master Baiyun had a solemn expression on his face, with a pearl on his head, and in front of him was a skull wearing a crown.
"This is the king of the Golden Kingdom. He has become a Bodhisattva. He is the Golden Light King Bodhisattva."
So, all the mysteries lie behind this sealed treasure house door.
But the atmosphere became weird at this time. Gongye Xingyun's sword energy had already appeared, and he was much more murderous than when he confronted Xu Jia before.
